Pumps that are used for fluids transportation are mostly rotary. They represent such a constructional solution that is supposed to overcome a problem of gas bubbles presence in the fluid causing it ...to become a mixture of liquid and gas at the pump inlet. Such occurrences of fluid mass are inevitable in many technology processes. Pumps, which would have such a constructional solution and designed characteristics that could solve mentioned transportation problems, would certainly have a significant application in many industrial fields. However, manufacturing costs of such pumps would have to be the same or smaller compared to existing solutions, while the efficiency would have to be similar to the one for rotary pumps. Therefore, some tests were carried out on hybrid pumps in order to determine in which way their efficiency might be increased to the level similar for rotary pumps. With an aim of having a flow regime as similar as possible to the standard rotary pump; several tests were carried out on pump performance characteristics with different flow regimes and different constructions of rotor. A special attention was paid to occurrence of cavitations and its influence on performance characteristics and pump life.
Pumpe koje se koriste za prijenos fluida su uglavnom rotacijske. One predstavljaju takvo konstrukcijsko rješenje koje treba riješiti problem prisutnosti plinskih mjehurića u fluidu zbog kojih fluid ...poprima oblik mješavine tekućina-plin na usisnoj strani. Takvi oblici fluidne mase se neminovno javljaju tijekom mnogih tehnoloških procesa. Pumpe, koje bi svojim konstrukcijskim rješenjima i projektiranim karakteristikama riješile naznačene probleme transporta našle bi značajnu primjenu u mnogim područjima industrije. Pri tome bi troškovi njihove izrade morali biti isti ili
manji u usporedbi s postojećim izvedbama, dok bi stupanj djelovanja morao biti približno jednak kao za rotacijske pumpe. Zbog toga se prišlo ispitivanju hibridnih pumpi kako bi se utvrdilo na koji se način njihov stupanj djelovanja može podići približno na razinu kakvu imaju rotacijske pumpe. S ciljem što boljeg približavanja režima strujanja u hibridnoj pumpi jednostavnoj standardnoj rotacijskoj pumpi, obavljeno je niz ispitivanja karakteristika pumpi s različitim režimima strujanja i različitim rotorima. Pri tome je posebna pozornost posvećena pojavi kavitacije i njenom utjecaju na energetske karakteristike i vijek trajanja hibridnih pumpi.
