Osobito sam unaprijedila evaluacijsku dimenzija tog modela koristeći se teorijskim konceptima kibernetike prvog, drugog i trećeg reda, grupnim radom i metodama participativnog istraživanja.
The subject of social work is the provision of the context in which people can solve their own – sometimes very complex – social problems in collaboration with social workers. Within social work, ...those who face such problems, i.e. the users of social work, are seen as "experts from experience" (Madsen, 2007; McLaughlin, 2009) – the ones that best know their own lives. In working on their problems, the users of social work as experts from experience collaborate with social workers as equals. With this in mind, my aim in this article is to present a participatory model of social work with creative media that I have developed in my practical and theoretical work in social work using creative media. I named this model the "Spiral Participatory Model of Research, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation of Creative Media". This model is an upgrade of the so called "circular model of social and cultural activity" as developed by the researchers at Hogeschool Nijmegen in the Netherlands (Šugman Bohinc, 1994). In particular I enhanced the evaluation dimensions of this model using the theoretical concepts of the cybernetics of the first, second and third orders, group work, and methods of participatory research. I see the proposed spiral participatory model as enabling social workers, the users of their services and any other participants to work together, while using creative media, in order to create a context in which the voices of all participant parties can be heard, and which enables all participants to find their own effective solutions to their focal issues.
The use of expressive-creative media in the professions of help and support has been gaining grounds. The aim of the research study is to shed light both on the positive effects of the work with ...expressive-creative media and their potential negative effects or risk factors, with indicating some of the safety factors of work with expressive-creative media. The results of the qualitative research show that in practice professional workers of related helping professions have not en countered any negative effects in their work with expressive-creative media, while being very much aware of possible risk factors. Accordingly, they developed numerous strategies of alleviating, if not completely avoiding, potential risk factors.

ABSTRACT IN SLOVENE: Uporaba izrazno-ustvarjalnih medijev v poklicih, katerih namen sta podpora in pomoc, se vse bolj uveljavlja. // ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: The use of expressive-creative media in the professions of help and support has been gaining grounds. Slovenia has recognized student mobility as a key strategic goal of higher education development. This opens up opportunities for progress but also creates challenges that were highlighted during the ...Covid-19 epidemic. During this crisis, international students in Slovenia were faced with the decision whether to stay or return home. The reasons why they chose to remain/depart were determined by analysing the content of the answers to the open-ended question. Students mainly stayed for per- sonal and health reasons, because of the epidemic, the accompanying measures and the pedagogical process. The reasons for leaving mainly featured psycho- social factors, the epidemic and related measures, personal reasons and access to healthcare. Due to psychosocial distress, international students experienced a great need during the epidemic for targeted support measures and especially for coordinated and accessible information.
ABSTRACT IN SLOVENIAN: Podana sta strjen zgodovinski razvoj in uporaba umetnostnih izraznih sredstev na razlicnih poljih dela z ljudmi. // ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: This paper presents a summarised historical development and use of artistic means of expression in diverse fields of work with people.
