This paper aims to explore some theoretical frameworks that could be used to support a advanced reflection on pedagogical consulting approach. Three ways of dissertations will be used. The first, the ...epistemological conditions of the discourse on pedagogical counseling. The second, the pedagogical roots of the educational consulting process and, the third, the development of pedagogical consulting in a critical way.
The first part of the article is focused on the analysis of the theoretical framework on radicalization phenomena, describing how the scientific debate has only recently considered research that have ...focused on the phenomena of micro-radicalization and radicalization in everyday life. The second and last part of this contribution describes how the family and parental system can become, at various levels, a promising context for preventing the phenomena of radicalization and violent radicalization (P/CVE). In the conclusion, the paper uses national and international literature for defining possible levels of educational intervention in collaboration with families.
This dataset provides de-identified raw responses to a non-anonymous three-wave online survey with a 12-month time lag. Data collection was part of a larger project on the development of career ...calling in Italian college students. The first wave was collected during the fall of 2014. Participants were bachelor's or master's students enrolled in 24 different study domains and 4 different universities. Sample sizes for each wave are NT1 = 5,886, NT2 = 1,700 and NT3 = 881, 434 participants provided valid responses at all the three waves. Consent form was electronic. Dataset and codebook can be found here: https://osf.io/v56du/. The sample is mainly composed of women (63.8%, at Time 1). Participants' mean age at Time 1 was 23.37 years (SD = 5.39). The survey was in Italian and included multiple-item measures of career calling, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, social support, engaged learning, clarity of professional identity, and quality of mentorship. Socio-demographic information and academic performance indicators are provided. The dataset is necessary to reproduce previously published results (Vianello et al., 2018) and can be useful to 1) investigate cross-cultural differences between college students from Italy and other countries; 2) investigate person-level variability in predictors and consequences of change in the variables collected over time; 3) develop and/or validate new statistical models for longitudinal data; and 4) develop and/or test original theoretical hypotheses.
Polarization and various extremist movements are on the rise and young people’s exposure to propaganda, disinformation, racism and hate speech has increased (Benjamin et al., 2021). Not only the ...society tends to be more polarized, but there is mounting concern that social media sites contribute to it by creating echo chambers that insulate people from opposing views about current events (Bail et al., 2018; Kubin and von Sikorski, 2021). Since teachers are at the forefront of these trends, they get to witness and address first-hand the effects and consequences that the various polarized ideologies may have on youth. Therefore, developing a global perspective that allows students to participate in an interconnected world, understand different viewpoints, learn to dialogue, value other cultures, and benefit from interculturality has become the objectives of world educational policy (Azqueta and Menino Arribas, 2020). The aim of this paper is to discuss the topic of polarization and then focus on two socio-pedagogical frameworks that are useful in this field: deliberative theory and reflexive practices.
