Porous/multi-cell structures are widely used in practical engineering due to their excellent energy absorption capacity and lightweight. In recent decades, as an important member of porous ...structures, lattice structure is found to have extremely excellent energy absorption capacity per unit mass. It has become a hot spot in the research of porous structures for energy absorption properties. There are more and more studies on energy absorption characteristics of lattice structures in the world. This paper reviews and discusses the research work on the energy absorption characteristics of lattice structures in recent years. Firstly, the performance evaluation indexes and loading conditions for energy absorption of the lattice structures are summarized. Then, the lattice structures in the current research literature are classified, and the lattice structures are divided into 2D lattice structure and 3D lattice structure. The 2D lattice structures are divided into general structure, auxetic structure and hierarchical structure, while the 3D lattice structures are divided into truss-based, plate-based, shell-based and hierarchical 3D lattice structure. Furthermore, the energy absorption properties of different types of 2D and 3D lattice structures are introduced in detail. Then, the fabrication process and the engineering application for energy absorption of the lattice structures are introduced. Finally, the future research direction of energy absorption of lattice structure is predicted. Therefore, this work provides a useful platform for researchers and engineers to design energy absorbed lattice structures, and provides a basis for developing new excellent energy absorbed lattice structures.

Thus, consuming both hawthorn and seafood together can result in the formation of an indigestible complex in the body, acting as the main pathogenic factor in patients with intestinal obstruction. We herein describe a patient with duodenal obstruction caused by hawthorn who developed the hepatic portal venous gas sign and was cured by nonsurgical treatment.

Herein, by utilizing 3D printing technology, carbon nanotube (CNT) is coated by MnO2 to form a flexible CNT@MnO2 ink as a cathode for flexible aqueous micro‐ZIBs for the first time and zinc powder ink is used as an anode due to its high flexibility and bendability. The Zn//CNT@MnO2 flexible battery shows a stable capacity of 63 μAh cm−2 at 0.4 mA cm−2. When the battery is bent in different states, the maximum capacity loss compared with the initial value is only 2.72%, indicating its stability. This study shows the potential of 3D printing technology in the development of flexible manganese‐based ZIBs.

The sintering process constitutes an important part of the conductive-pattern inkjet printing process, as it directly affects the conductivity of the conductive pattern. Flash sintering has ...significant advantages such as lower processing temperature and higher sintering efficiency than other existing processes. Multiple flash sintering process experiments were performed to solve the problems of low conductivity of the sample caused by unsuitable concentrations of nano-silver ink and flash sintering process parameters. The relationship model between the nano-silver ink parameters and the flash sintering process parameters was established. The sintering neck state of the nanoparticles under different sintering parameters was observed by scanning electron microscope, which revealed the flash sintering mechanism of the nano-silver. A non-contact sintering effect monitoring method and a sintering process optimization method are also proposed. A microstrip array antenna was fabricated based on this method. The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method are proved by simulation and experimentation of the antenna pattern.
Thin film structures will be wrinkled due to buckling deformation under the influence of compressive stress. The wrinkle and tension states of the thin film can be changed by introducing ...microstructures. So we introduce rigid elements on the thin film to suppress the wrinkling behavior of the thin film, and propose a method to calculate the optimal distribution position of the rigid elements on the thin film. Using this method, the optimal distribution positions of the square rigid elements on the biaxially stretched square thin film were calculated, and the effectiveness of introducing rigid elements on the thin film to suppress the wrinkle was verified through numerical simulation and experimental research. The results show that the wrinkling behaviour of the film can be effectively suppressed by placing rigid elements at the optimal position obtained by the method proposed to this paper. Our findings could provide new design ideas for thin-film antenna structures in aerospace engineering.
The phenomenon of polypharmacy is a common occurrence among older people with multiple health conditions due to the rapid increase in population aging and the popularization of clinical guidelines. ...The prevalence of metabolic syndrome is growing quickly, representing a serious threat to both the public and the worldwide healthcare systems. In addition, it enhances the risk of cardiovascular disease as well as mortality and morbidity. Sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) are basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper transcription factors that transcriptionally modulate genes that regulate lipid biosynthesis and uptake, thereby serving an essential role in biological systems regulation. In this article, we have described the structure of SREBPs and explored their activation and regulation of signals. We also reveal that SREBPs are intricately involved in the modulation of metabolic diseases and thus have tremendous potential as the novel target for single-drug therapy for multiple diseases.
Agarwood, generated from the Aquilaria sinensis, has high economic and medicinal value. Although its genome has been sequenced, the ploidy of A. sinensis paleopolyploid remains unclear. Moreover, the ...expression changes of genes associated with agarwood formation were not analyzed either.
In the present work, we reanalyzed the genome of A. sinensis and found that it experienced a recent tetraploidization event ~ 63-71 million years ago (Mya). The results also demonstrated that the A. sinensis genome had suffered extensive gene deletion or relocation after the tetraploidization event, and exhibited accelerated evolutionary rates. At the same time, an alignment of homologous genes related to different events of polyploidization and speciation were generated as well, which provides an important comparative genomics resource for Thymelaeaceae and related families. Interestingly, the expression changes of genes related to sesquiterpene synthesis in wounded stems of A. sinensis were also observed. Further analysis demonstrated that polyploidization promotes the functional differentiation of the key genes in the sesquiterpene synthesis pathway.
By reanalyzing its genome, we found that the tetraploidization event shaped the A. sinensis genome and contributed to the ability of sesquiterpenes synthesis. We hope that these results will facilitate our understanding of the evolution of A. sinensis and the function of genes involved in agarwood formation.

β-Aminobutyric acid (BABA) is an elicitor that is capable of inducing disease resistance in many plants. The effect of postharvest BABA treatment on rot caused by Gilbertella persicaria and the underlying mechanisms of action of BABA in pitaya fruit (Hylocereus undatus cv. Zihonglong) were investigated. Fruits were dipped in 10 mM BABA for 15 min and then stored at ambient temperature (25 ± 2 °C, RH 70˜75%). The results showed that 10 mM BABA had no obvious inhibitory effects on G. persicaria in vitro. However, BABA significantly reduced lesion diameter in pitaya inoculated with G. persicaria relative to the control. Furthermore, BABA increased the activities of phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL), 4-coumarate/coenzyme A ligase (4CL), peroxidase (POD) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO) and promoted the accumulation of lignin, flavonoids and phenolic compounds in the fruit. These results suggested that postharvest application of BABA via immersion induced resistance in pitaya fruit by activating defense-related enzymes, and BABA treatment may be an alternative method for the control of postharvest diseases in fruits.
Although elderly users comprise a major user group in the field of mobile health (mHealth) services, their adoption rate of such services is relatively low compared with their use of traditional ...health services. Increasing the adoption rate of mHealth services among elderly users is beneficial to the aging process.
This study aimed to examine the determinants of mHealth service use intentions using a trust transfer model among elderly users facing declining physiological conditions and lacking support from hospitals.
A survey comprising 395 users aged 60 years and above was conducted in China to validate our research model and hypotheses.
The results reveal that (1) trust in mHealth services positively influences use intentions, (2) trust in offline health services positively influences trust in mHealth services, (3) declining physiological conditions strengthen the effects of trust in offline health services regarding trust in mHealth services, (4) support from hospitals weakens the effects of trust in mHealth services on use intentions, and (5) the relationship between trust in offline health services and intention to use mHealth services is partially mediated by trust in mHealth services. The independent variables and moderators collectively explain a 48.3% variance in the use intention of mHealth services.
We conclude that the trust transfer theory is useful in explaining the development of initial trust in mHealth services. In addition, declining physiological conditions and support from hospitals are important factors for investigating the adoption of mHealth services among elderly users.
Coronary atherosclerosis is a potentially chronic circulatory condition that endangers human health. The biological cause underpinning cardiovascular disease is coronary atherosclerosis, and acute ...cardiovascular events can develop due to thrombosis, platelet aggregation, and unstable atherosclerotic plaque rupture. Coronary atherosclerosis is progressive, and three specific changes appear, with fat spots and stripes, atherosclerosis and thin-walled fiber atherosclerosis, and then complex changes in arteries. The progression and severity of cardiovascular disease are correlated with various levels of calcium accumulation in the coronary artery. The therapy and diagnosis of coronary atherosclerosis benefit from the initial assessment of the size and degree of calcification. This article will discuss the new progress in the early diagnosis of coronary atherosclerosis in terms of three aspects: imaging, gene and protein markers, and trace elements. This study intends to present the latest methods for diagnosing patients with early atherosclerosis through a literature review.
