Introduction. Chronic periapical lesion is a pathological process of the root
apex and the surrounding alveolar bone. Granuloma, which is a term that
usually describes a chronic periapical process, ...represents a mass of
granulation tissue at the apex of a devitalized tooth. Such lesions are
treated by conventional (endodontic) therapy or surgery. The aim of this
study was to assess clinical and radiographic outcomes of surgical treatment
of chronic periapical lesions in multirooted teeth. Material and Methods.
This prospective study included 30 patients who underwent a standard Partsch
surgical procedure. The root canals, without previous endodontic treatment,
were obturated immidiately before surgery, or intraoperatively. The canals
with short fillings or teeth with fixed prosthetics were retrogradely
obturated. Zinc-phosphate cement condensed with gutta-percha cone was used
for obturation. Evaluation of clinical outcomes was performed 6, 12 and 24
months after surgery, and radiographic outcomes after 12 and 24 months,
respectively. Results. After surgery, a statistically significant
improvements of treatment outcomes were observed between the follop-ups (p <
0.000). The overall success rate of chronic periapical lesions in multirooted
teeth 24 months after surgery was 83.3% for clinical and 66.7% for
radiographic outcomes. Conclusion. The results of clinical and radiographic
parameters after surgical treatment outcomes in multirooted teeth were
satisfying. Therefore, we may conclude that surgical treatment can be
considered as a primary treatment option in the management of chronic
periapical lesions.

Cilj je također bio ispitati kako zaštitni ...faktori, rezilijentnost i percepcija socijalne potpore umanjuju učinak C-PTSD na odbijajuće roditeljstvo majke, kao i kako trauma njenih roditelja i njihovo odbacivanje utječu na roditeljstvo kod žena koje su preživjele složenu traumu. Rezultati studije temelje se na istraživanju na 100 žena u dobi od 19 do 64 godine. Uzorak je imao dvije skupine: majke s poviješću C-PTSD-a i kontrolne skupine bez registriranih poremećaja mentalnog zdravlja. Rezultati pokazuju da složena trauma negativno utječe na roditeljstvo žene. C-PTSD prikazuje korelacije sa svih pet dimenzija negativnih stilova roditeljstva (nedostatak naklonosti/ zanemarivanje/ agresija/ kontrola/ nediferencirano odbijanje). Rezilijentnost je djelovala kao moderator između C-PTSD i odbacivanja roditeljskog stila. Roditeljske traume i njihov odbijajući roditeljski stil očituju se u majčinom roditeljstvu.
Understanding the complex influence of temperature in the cutting zone in order to achieve a successful and efficient machining process is of critical importance. The temperatures generated during ...processing have a crucial influence on achieving optimal results. In order to achieve the desired result, and to optimize the process, understanding of this complex interaction is necessary. The focus of this research was on the analysis of the influence of temperature in the cutting zone during the milling process. Particular attention has been paid to the influence of cutting speed, feed rate, and cutting depth on temperature generation. The design of the experiment was carried out according to the central composite design, which included 24 distinct cases. The experiment was performed on a Maho 600C vertical milling machine, using 30CrNiMo8 material. Temperature was measured using a FLIR InfraCAM Western thermal imaging camera. Based on the collected experimental data, artificial neural network and mathematical models which define the dependence of temperature on cutting parameters have been developed. The best performance was demonstrated by the artificial neural network with a 3 × 10x5 × 2x1 architecture, trained using the SCG learning algorithm, which resulted in a mean squared error of 0.000782. A comparative analysis was performed between the values gained by experiments and values provided by neural networks and mathematical models. The results showed that the artificial neural network achieved the smallest deviations. These results demonstrate the quality and reliability of our temperature prediction models for machining processes, which allow us to further optimize these processes and achieve the desired results.

Environmental protection contents are characterized by a wide range of interdisciplinarity. They are realized separately within the teaching of biology and geography (5th–8th grade) in elementary ...school in Serbia. Numerous concepts and facts are similar, especially within the content Nature Protection. The application of an integrative teaching approach in the realization of environmental protection contents in elementary schools was investigated. Pedagogical experiment with parallel groups of elementary school students was conducted by applying integrative teaching approach in the experimental (E) and traditional approach in control (C) groups of students. The data were obtained through the pre-test and post-test. Integrative teaching approach has proven to be effective in the realization of the above-mentioned program contents.
In Serbia, primary education is compulsory, and it lasts eight years with two educational cycles, while in the Czech Republic, primary education lasts nine years with three cycles. Analysis of the ...teachers` attitudes toward primary education in Serbia and the Czech Republic has a goal to determine the current educational state in the two countries. Also, in this research it has been shown if there are similarities, as well as differences between the two educational systems. Views of the teachers on this topic are significant for this paper, so the survey was used as an instrument. The survey should have revealed whether the primary education was in line with the need of modernization and enhancement of young peple’s intellectual potential. It was necessary to reveal if the education in the two countries is in accordance with the modern world and whether the teachers agree with this. One of the aims of the research was to determine whether there are statistically significant differences in the teachers’ answers and to relate those differences to the general educational situation in Serbia and Czechia.
The response of rat liver nuclei to thermal injury was studied at the ultrastructural and biochemical levels using nuclei isolated in the presence of either Mg2+ or polyamines and metal chelators. ...The extent of chromatin condensation, as revealed by electron microscopy, increased in the order: nuclei in situ, Mg-stabilized nuclei, polyamine-stabilized nuclei. In addition, we observed that thermal injury caused an increase in the number of nuclear pores, an enlargement of nucleoli and an accumulation of ribonucleoprotein material. Along with this, greater amounts of protein, DNA and RNA were retained in nuclei from scalded rats. The salt-resistant residue from Mg-stabilized nuclei was a spherical proteinaceous structure of the nuclear matrix, whereas that of the polyamine-stabilized nuclei was amorphous and deprived of three major constituents of the spherical matrix, the 60-70 X 10(3) Mr lamina proteins. However, exposure of the polyamine-stabilized nuclei to Ca2+ and Mg2+ rendered the 60-70 X 10(3) Mr proteins salt-insoluble and thus enabled the extraction of a spherical residual nuclear structure. This structure was highly enriched in DNA, RNA and non-histone proteins and, hence, more like dehistonized nuclei than the minimal residual nuclear structure. It retained 70% of DNA in the controls but virtually all the DNA in scalded rats. This difference was interpreted to reflect activation-related changes in chromatin organization.
