Izziv dolgožive družbe je, kako zagotoviti takšno podporo in pomoč, da se bomo lahko starali čim bolj zdravo in samostojno. V članku je prikazano, kaj so pomembni dejavniki kakovostnega staranja, še ...posebej pomen zdravega življenjskega sloga in znotraj tega aktivnosti gibanja in socialnih omrežij. Kvantitativna raziskava na neslučajnostnem priložnostnem vzorcu 209 ljudi, starejših od 65 let, izvedena s pomočjo ankete, je pokazala, da skoraj vsi anketirani stari ljudje ocenjujejo, da lahko vzdržujejo zdrav življenjski slog in da na njihovo življenje najbolj vpliva starost. Z gibanjem se Jih vsaj trikrat na teden ukvarja skoraj polovica, a pogostejša aktivnost ni povezana z boljšim zdravstvenim stanjem. Več kot polovica ima na voljo tri ali več oseb, na katere se lahko obrnejo po pomoč, in ti tudi bolje ocenjujejo svoje zdravje. Ni pa samoocena zdravja povezana s pogostostjo druženja. Bolj izobraženi pogosteje menijo, da lahko s svojim načinom življenja vplivajo na zdravje. Seznanjenost z aktivnostmi in dogod ki za zdrav življenjski slog pa jeslaba. Za spodbujanje zdravega življenjskega sloga so potrebni ukrepi na vseh ravneh - mikro, mezo in makro.
The anthology stands for critical-political and transformative social work. In twelve contributions in German and four in English, the authors discuss three overarching goals: affordable housing, an ...engaged society and an economy of solidarity. They look at problems such as poverty and the precarisation of working conditions and offer answers in a critical professionalism and in the voices of the addressees.
Der Sammelband steht für eine kritisch-politische und transformative Soziale Arbeit. In zwölf deutsch- und vier englischsprachigen Beiträgen diskutieren die Autor*innen drei übergeordnete Ziele: bezahlbaren Wohnraum, eine engagierte Gesellschaft und eine solidarische Ökonomie. Sie betrachten Probleme wie Armut und die Prekarisierung von Arbeitsverhältnissen und bieten Antworten in einer kritischen Professionalität sowie in den Stimmen der Adressatinnen und Adressaten.
Empatija je koncept, ki je kompleksen tako z vidika definicije kot z vidika razlogov za raziskovanje. V prvem delu članka prikazujemo družbene okoliščine in razloge za raziskovanje povezave med ...empatijo in izobraževanjem za socialno delo. Razdelimo jih v hevristične, elitistične, motivacijske, edukacijske in stratifikacijske. Sprašujemo se, kašen je pomen empatije v okviru obstoječe socialne politike. Kako bodo predvidene novosti vorganizaciji visokošolskega študija (večja selekcija z uvajanjem sprejemnih izpitov) vplivale na eno od morebitnih temeljnih meril za selekcijo - empatijo? Ker je ključna motivacija za študij socialnega dela pomoč drugim, je pričakovati visoke stopnje empatije med študenti. Zanima nas tudi, kako je kurikulum povezan z empatijo in ali je empatija enakomerno porazdeljena med študenti, ki imajo različen družbeno-ekonomski status. Kvantitativna raziskava, ki smo jo izvedli s populacijo študentk 1. in 4. letnika Fakultete za socialno delo v študijskem letu 2015/16, je pokazala, da imajo študentke razmeroma visoko stopnjo empatije že v prvem letniku in da se ta stopnja med študijem statistično značilno ne spremeni. Je pa stopnja empatije povezana s samooceno socialnega statusa. Visoka ocena stopnje empatije se pojavlja pri študentkah z višjim statusom. Empatije imamo v socialnem delu dovolj, v zvezi z njo so problematične le družbene neenakosti.
Dosedanje raziskave so pokazale pogostost nasilnega vedenja uporabnikov na področju dela z družino. Vstop uporabnikov v proces pomoči na področju nasilja v družini je v veliki meri neprostovoljen, to ...pa se lahko kaže tudi v nasilnem vedenju do zaposlenih. Avtorji so razvili pristope za delo z neprostovoljnimi uporabniki in smernice za delo z nasiljem uporabnikov. Organizacije so dolžne poskrbeti za varnost osebja. Uporabna sta lahko pristop, temelječ na razumevanju travme, in supervizija. Raziskava je pokazala, da so bili zaposleni deležni predvsem napetih situacij z elementi psihičnega nasilja. Na nekatere zaposlene napete situacije niso posebej vplivale, na drugih pa so pustile negativne posledice na počutju, delu in v zasebnem življenju. Zaposleni so oblikovali lastne načine skrbi za varnost, povezane predvsem s spretnostjo vodenja pogovora, med katerimi je bilo prepoznati tudi elemente pristopov dela z neprostovoljnimi uporabniki. Organizacije so za varnost poskrbele s podpornimi in fizičnimi načini ter oblikovanjem varnostnih načrtov. Priložnosti za izboljšanje se med drugimi kažejo v izobraževanju zaposlenih o tehnikah dela z nasiljem uporabnikov in z neprostovoljnimi uporabniki ter v usmerjenosti organizacij - z maksimalno podporo zaposlenim in s spoštljivim odnosom do uporabnikov.
This article presents the findings of an extensive qualitative and quantitative in-depth study of precariousness among working population in Slovenia. Semi-structured interviews of a sample of people ...engaged in different forms of work and a survey of working population were conducted to identify the impact of the different forms of work on perceived employment and social security, access to skill and voice in the workplace, socio-economic status and future prospect. Our research confirms that implicit precariousness exists in all forms of work, but its magnitude (low, medium or high), depends on the contractual form. The greatest disparities were found in remuneration and working hours, while workers in all forms of work have only modest opportunities for training. The risk of poverty is also unrelated to the form of work and similarly all workers fear taking sick leave. There is also a pessimistic view of future prospects, including retirement. Taking into account the pandemic, which is threatening the wellbeing of millions, an ambitious response of regulatory regimes is required to ensure the best working conditions, training and fairness for all and to do so it is important to thoroughly understand various dimensions of precariousness.

Social economy in Slovenia was been regulated and supported on the state level for two decades after independence. It could be explained as a consequence of breakdown of a socialist tradition, when ...the main notion was that the state could solve any problem. In the time of transition from the socialist-oriented to the market-oriented economy, social economy was not taken into consideration. Nevertheless, there were some particular initiatives, especially in the field of social protection of the vulnerable groups (employment of persons with physical disabilities or mental health problems) and in the field of ecology (farming) which were regulated by particular laws. The initiators of social entrepreneurship were faced with various obstacles yet on the other hand there was a space to develop various ideas and to respond to the needs in the society/community. These initiatives will be presented with the focus on identifying possible topics which need to be taken into consideration in the process of implementation of the law on social entrepreneurship in order to put more emphasis on sustainable development.Key words: social economy, social entrepreneurship, sustainable development.
Aims: This article presents an overview of the strategies and measures used in the context of school-based prevention in Slovenia, both on a declaratory and on a practical level.
Methods: A review of ...the Resolution on the National Programme on Drugs in the Republic of Slovenia ReNPPD (2004). An analysis of the key problems that emerge in practice is made on the basis of data collected in individual interviews and in focus group interviews.
Findings: On the declaratory level, drug prevention activities in Slovenian schools are mostly in line with the EU guidelines and similar to those in Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. In practice, some discrepancies emerge, since there is neither a national database of programmes nor any programme evaluations in Slovenia; therefore, schools are left to their own judgement in choosing which programme is suitable for them.
Conclusions: The deficiencies create an urgent need to establish a database of programmes and introduce community prevention strategies in schools on the national level.
Purpose: Earlier research has indicated the high exposure of those working in assisting occupations to workplace violence in Slovenia. The purpose of this study is to complement the research gap in ...investigating violence within social care and determine the types and extent of workplace violence among all employees in a social care institution, the influence of aggressive behaviour of users on the well-being of employees, and the need for education on dealing with the violence to which employees are being exposed. Design/Methods/Approach: Workplace violence was researched quantitatively using a descriptive method. We used a structured survey questionnaire, which was adapted using an existing questionnaire to research the occurrence of violent acts from users against employees at nursing homes and other social care institutions. Findings: The nursing home Dom ob Savinji Celje faces user violence against its employees. The most frequent form of violence against employees is verbal abuse (37.7% of respondents) and the least frequent is unwanted conduct of a sexual nature (5.2% of respondents). Workers employed in healthcare face user violence more often than employees in other fields. Employees most often face a certain form of user violence 1-2 times per year. When an employee meets an aggressive user, the most common emotions are fear, helplessness, uncertainty, feeling under threat, and least often a lack of understanding from fellow employees. Originality/Value: This study focuses on studying workplace violence within a social care institution and complements extant, yet inadequate scientific findings.
