Tethered Space Net Robot (TSNR) is proposed as a hopeful solution for space debris capturing. An unideal case of net capture is studied in this paper, in which the net does not contact the target in the center of the net. For this case, the net cannot naturally close to wrap around the target completely after collision due to the asymmetric net configuration. Therefore, an integral adaptive Super-Twisting sliding mode control (IASTSMC) is designed to close the net. The control algorithm consists of a nonlinear integral sliding surface and adaptive Super-Twisting sliding mode control (ASTSMC), which not only has the property of “saturate the large error, magnify the small error”, but also provides a positive chattering alleviation effect. Compared with the nonlinear integral sliding mode control (ISMC) with equivalent control technique and the original Super-Twisting algorithm (STA), the proposed control method shows a better performance to close the net in this unideal case.
Over the past few decades, a growing body of epidemiological studies found the effects of temperature on cardiovascular disease, including the risk for acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Our study ...aimed to investigate whether there is an association between extremely temperature and acute myocardial infarction hospital admission in Beijng, China. We obtained 81029 AMI cases and daily temperature data from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2016. We employed a time series design and modeled distributed lag nonlinear model (DLNM) to analyze effects of temperature on daily AMI cases. Compared with the 10th percentile temperature measured by daily mean temperature (Tmean), daily minimum temperature (Tmin) and daily minimum apparent temperature (ATmin), the cumulative relative risks (CRR) at 1st percentile of Tmean, Tmin and ATmin for AMI hospitalization were 1.15(95% CI: 1.02, 1.30), 1.24(95% CI: 1.11, 1.38) and 1.41(95% CI: 1.18, 1.68), respectively. Moderate low temperature (10th vs 25th) also had adverse impact on AMI events. The susceptive groups were males and people 65 years and older. No associations were found between high temperature and AMI risk. The main limitation of the study is temperature exposure was not individualized. These findings on cold-associated AMI hospitalization helps characterize the public health burden of cold and target interventions to reduce temperature induced AMI occurrence.
Studies on the associations between ambient temperature and asthma hospitalizations are limited, and the results are controversial. We aimed to assess the short-term effects of ambient temperature on ...the risk of asthma hospitalizations and quantify the hospitalization burdens of asthma attributable to non-optimal temperature in adults in Beijing, China.
We collected daily asthma hospitalizations, meteorological factors and air quality data in Beijing from 2012 to 2015. We applied a time-stratified case-crossover design and fitted a distributed lag non-linear model with a conditional quasi-Poisson regression to explore the association between ambient temperature and adult asthma hospitalizations. The effect modifications of these associations by gender and age were assessed by stratified analyses. We also computed the attributable fractions and numbers with 95% empirical confidence intervals (eCI) of asthma hospitalizations due to extreme and moderate temperatures.
From 2012 to 2015, we identified a total of 18,500 hospitalizations for asthma among adult residents in Beijing, China. Compared with the optimal temperature (22 °C), the cumulative relative risk (CRR) over lag 0-30 days was 2.32 with a 95% confidence interval (CI) of 1.57-3.42 for extreme cold corresponding to the 2.5th percentile (- 6.5 °C) of temperature distribution and 2.04 (95% CI 1.52-2.74) for extreme heat corresponding to the 97.5th percentile (29 °C) of temperature distribution. 29.1% (95% eCI 17.5-38.0%) of adult asthma hospitalizations was attributable to non-optimum temperatures. Moderate cold temperatures yielded most of the burdens, with an attributable fraction of 20.3% (95% eCI 9.1-28.7%). The temperature-related risks of asthma hospitalizations were more prominent in females and younger people (19-64 years old).
There was a U-shaped association between ambient temperature and the risk of adult asthma hospitalizations in Beijing, China. Females and younger patients were more vulnerable to the effects of non-optimum temperatures. Most of the burden was attributable to moderate cold. Our findings may uncover the potential impact of climate changes on asthma exacerbations.
A rockburst is a dynamic disaster that may result in considerable damage to mines and pose a threat to personnel safety. Accurately predicting rockburst intensity is critical for ensuring mine safety ...and reducing economic losses. First, based on the primary parameters that impact rockburst occurrence, the uniaxial compressive strength (σc), shear–compression ratio (σθ/σc), compression–tension ratio (σc/σt), elastic deformation coefficient (Wet), and integrity coefficient of the rock (KV) were selected as the evaluation indicators. Second, an improved game theory weighting method was introduced to address the problem that the combination coefficients calculated using the traditional game theory weighting method may result in negative values. The combination of indicator weights obtained using the analytic hierarchy process, the entropy method, and the coefficient of variation method were also optimized using improved game theory. Third, to address the problem of subjectivity in the traditional unascertained measurement using the confidence identification criterion, the distance discrimination idea of the Minkowski distance was used to optimize the identification criteria of the attributes in an unascertained measurement and was applied to rockburst prediction, and the obtained results were compared with the original confidence identification criterion and the original distance discrimination. The results show that the improved game theory weighting method used in this model makes the weight distribution more reasonable and reliable, which can provide a feasible reference for the weight determination method of rockburst prediction. When the Minkowski distance formula was introduced into the unascertained measurement for distance discrimination, the same rockburst predictions were obtained when the distance parameter (p) was equal to 1, 2, 3, and 4. The improved model was used to predict and analyze 40 groups of rockburst data with an accuracy of 92.5% and could determine the rockburst intensity class intuitively, providing a new way to analyze the rockburst intensity class rationally and quickly.

To improve the accuracy of predicting rockburst intensity, game theory and an improved maximum entropy-attribute measure interval model were established. First, by studying the mechanism of rockburst ...and typical cases, rock uniaxial compressive strength σc, rock compression-tension ratio σc/σt, rock shear compression ratio σθ/σc, rock elastic deformation coefficient Wet, and rock integrity coefficient Kv were selected as indexes for predicting rockburst intensity. Second, by combining the maximum entropy principle with the attribute measure interval and using the minimum distance Di−k between sample and class as the guide, the entropy solution of the attribute measure was obtained, which eliminates the greyness and ambiguity of the rockburst indexes to the maximum extent. Third, using the compromise coefficient to integrate the comprehensive attribute measure, which avoids the ambiguity about the number of attribute measure intervals. Fourth, from the essence of measurement theory, the Euclidean distance formula was used to improve the attribute identification mode, which overcomes the effect of the confidence coefficient taking on the results. Moreover, in order to balance the shortcomings of the subjective weights of the Analytic Hierarchy Process and the objective weights of the CRITIC method, game theory was used for the combined weights, which balances experts’ experience and the amount of data information. Finally, 20 sets of typical cases for rockburst in the world were selected as samples. On the one hand, the reasonableness of the combined weights of indexes was analyzed; on the other hand, the results of this paper’s model were compared with the three analytical models for predicting rockburst, and this paper’s model had the lowest number of misjudged samples and an accuracy rate of 80%, which was better than other models, verifying the accuracy and applicability.
Rockbursts are hazardous phenomena of sudden and violent rock failure in deep underground excavations under high geostress conditions, which poses a serious threat to geotechnical engineering. The ...occurrence of rockbursts is influenced by a combination of factors. Therefore, it is necessary to find an efficient method to assess rockburst grades. In this paper, we propose a novel method that enhances the VIKOR method using a novel combination of weight and generalized weighted Mahalanobis distance. The combination weights of the evaluation indicators were calculated using game theory by combining subjective experience and objective data statistical characteristics. By introducing the generalized weighted Mahalanobis distance, the VIKOR method is improved to address the issues of inconsistent dimensions, different importance, and inconsistent correlation among indicators. The proposed method can deal with the complexity of the impact factors of rockburst evaluation and classify the rockburst intensity level. The results show that the accuracy of the improved VIKOR method with the distance formula is higher than that of the unimproved VIKOR method; the evaluation accuracy of the improved VIKOR method with the generalized weighted Mahalanobis distance is 91.67%, which outperforms the improved VIKOR methods with the Euclidean and Canberra distances. This assessment method can be easily implemented and does not depend on the discussion of the rockburst occurrence mechanism, making it widely applicable for engineering rockburst evaluation.
Critical nozzles are widely used in the flow measurement and can be used for mass flow-rate measurement of hydrogen gas. The effect of real gas state equation on discharge coefficient of hydrogen gas ...flow through a critical nozzle was investigated. The real gas critical flow factor was introduced which considers the effect of the real gas on discharge coefficient. An analytic solution of real gas critical flow factor of hydrogen gas calculated from the modern equations of state based on Helmholtz energy, over a wider range of temperature 150–600 K and pressure up to 100 MPa was presented. An accurate empirical equation for real gas critical flow factor was determined by the nonlinear regression analysis. The equation was in good agreement with the high-pressure hydrogen gas experimental data by Morioka and CFD solutions by Nagao and Kim. Using this equation, the discharge coefficient can be directly and accurately calculated. It indicates that the discharge coefficient of hydrogen gas should be comprehensively taken into consideration with stagnation temperature, stagnation pressure and nozzle throat diameter. A lot of detailed results about the effect of real gas state equation were obtained.

Tissue factor (TF) is an evolutionarily conserved protein necessary for initiation of hemostasis. Zebrafish have two copies of the tissue factor gene (f3a and f3b) as the result of an ancestral ...teleost fish duplication event (so called ohnologs). In vivo physiologic studies of TF function have been difficult given early lethality of TF knockout in the mouse. We used genome editing to produce knockouts of both f3a and f3b in zebrafish. Since ohnologs arose through sub- or neofunctionalization, they can unmask unknown functions of non-teleost genes and could reveal whether mammalian TF has developmental functions distinct from coagulation. Here we show that a single copy of either f3a or f3b is necessary and sufficient for normal lifespan. Complete loss of TF results in lethal hemorrhage by 2-4 months despite normal embryonic and vascular development. Larval vascular endothelial injury reveals predominant roles for TFa in venous circulation and TFb in arterial circulation. Finally, we demonstrate that loss of TF predisposes to a stress-induced cardiac tamponade independent of its role in fibrin formation. Overall, our data suggest partial subfunctionalization of TFa and TFb. This multigenic zebrafish model has the potential to facilitate study of the role of TF in different vascular beds.
