The present study aims to examine whether the frequency of parent-child contact and the parent-child relationship can mediate the relationship between Internet use and Chinese older people's ...subjective well-being. Potential gender differences in such a relationship were also explored. We adopted a national representative sample of 7,862 older adults aged 60 and over from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS). Path analyses revealed that parent-child contact and parent-child relationship sequentially mediated the relationship between Internet use and older adults' subjective well-being. Gender moderated the mediatory role of parent-child contact frequency. The findings indicate that Internet use may empower older adults to maintain close intergenerational relationships contributing to their subjective well-being. Gender differences in Internet use and its implications on older adults' health and well-being should be paid attention to in future research and practices.

Existing studies have unequivocally demonstrated that parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) experience various stressful daily life events and suffer from psychological distress. ...Mindfulness level is found to be an effective buffer between parents' appraisal of stress life events and psychological distress. However, the mechanism behind the function of mindfulness is unclear, and traditional mindfulness-based intervention (MBI) in experimental settings is not tailored to personal real-life needs. This study proposes to conduct a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to examine the effectiveness of MBI delivered by ecological momentary intervention (EMI) and assessed by ecological momentary assessment (EMA) in changing participants' cognitive appraisal of stressful life events and thus reducing the psychological distress of parents of children with ASD. The proposed study will recruit 670 parents of children with ASD and randomly assign them to the intervention and control groups (335 in each group). Participants in the intervention group will install the EMI/A app on their smartphones. In the app, participants can receive practice prompts daily, browse and practice different mindfulness exercises in the intervention library at any time, talk to a virtual counselor (chatbot) when feeling stressed, complete EMA on the cognitive appraisal of life events, and receive the log of change of psychological status daily. Participants in the control group will only receive audio-based standardized mindfulness practice instructions three times per week. The effects of MBI will be assessed based on the EMA data, right after the intervention and at the 2-month follow-up. The primary outcome will be participants' psychological distress measured by the depression anxiety stress scale. The secondary outcomes will include participants' subjective well-being, measured by the satisfaction with life scale, and level of resilience, measured by the psychological empowerment scale. Multilevel structural equational modelling will be applied to examine the pathways of the relationship between daily life events, cognitive appraisal, and psychological distress. The potential benefit of the proposed study is to increase the psychological well-being of parents of children with ASD, and the method may extend to participants suffering from other psychological issues in the future.
With the rapid development of China’s economy and society, the core of national competitiveness has shifted from material elements to talents, systems, and innovation. Ultimately, it is a talent ...problem, that is, the problem of improving population quality. Only by striving to improve the quality of the population can we leverage our strong advantages in human resources and transform China from a populous country to a human capital powerhouse. Early childhood development and education are important ways and key links to improve population quality. This paper adopts literature research, empirical analysis, and quantitative analysis methods to conduct a comparative analysis of education programs in Eastern and Western countries around the topic of early childhood development education. The results indicate that the early childhood education and care (ECEC) policies and programs in Western countries have similar origins, both aimed at better protecting children, providing early education to children with special needs, and ensuring the social participation of mothers in the labor force. Although there are similarities in the formulation and implementation of program goals and policies, there are significant differences in other aspects. However, China’s early education faces problems such as insufficient local financial support, high costs, unequal access to opportunities, and significant differences in the quality of services. In the future, it is necessary to increase investment in early childhood development education, and the whole society should participate and carry out early childhood development education together.
It is generally believed that early childhood education primarily takes place in early education in-stitutions, where parents receive training to support their child’s education. Additionally, ...children’s literature is diverse, with a rich history and various genres. However, there is a lack of research regarding the influ-ence of the family environment and children’s literature on early childhood education, particularly in terms of quantifying this impact. To address this gap in knowledge, this study investigates the effects of the family environment and children’s literature on early childhood education. Specifically, the early childhood educa-tion group is divided into two categories: a parental guardianship group and an others guardianship group, depending on the relationship between the person receiving training from the parent school and the child. The study compares the developmental quotient, height, and weight of children in each group. Additionally, three types of children’s literature commonly used in kindergartens (nursery rhymes, children’s films, and picture book stories) are selected to analyze their educational value for children. The results indicate that early education is crucial for children’s physical and mental development, and parents should receive train-ing in different groups based on their role as guardians. Furthermore, children’s literature can enhance chil-dren’s perception of beauty and contribute to their emotional, linguistic, intellectual, and social development.

Abstract
Histone methylation ...plays a fundamental role in the epigenetic regulation of gene expression driven by developmental and environmental cues in plants, including Arabidopsis. Histone methyltransferases and demethylases act as ‘writers’ and ‘erasers’ of methylation at lysine and/or arginine residues of core histones, respectively. A third group of proteins, the ‘readers’, recognize and interpret the methylation marks. Emerging evidence confirms the crucial roles of histone methylation in multiple biological processes throughout the plant life cycle. In this review, we summarize the regulatory mechanisms of lysine methylation, especially at histone H3 tails, and focus on the recent advances regarding the roles of lysine methylation in Arabidopsis development, from seed performance to reproductive development, and in callus formation.
In this study, we fabricated high-performance polyethylene composites by constructing SiO2@silane coupling agent (γ-methylacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane) and SiO2@polydopamine (PDA) double-layer ...structures on a magnesium oxysulfate whisker surface. In addition to realizing strong mechanical properties, the flame-retardant properties of the composites were effectively improved. Further increase in the initial crystallization temperature of the modified composites indicated that the dispersion of whisker in the matrix was improved. The drag effect of the modified whisker on the HDPE molecular chain was characterized by dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) and the morphology of the impact-fractured surface was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM); both confirmed the improved compatibility between the whisker and the matrix. The tensile strength of HDPE/MOSw@SiO2@KH570 and HDPE/MOSw@SiO2@PDA composites were 22.6% and 41.5% higher than that of the HDPE/MOSw composites, respectively. The impact strengths of the HDPE/MOSw@SiO2@KH570 and HDPE/MOSw@SiO2@PDA composites were 129% and 102% higher than that of the HDPE/MOSw composites, respectively. A stable carbon-silicate layer constructed by a SiO2@KH570 and SiO2@PDA double-layer structure delayed the combustion process. As a result, the limiting oxygen index (LOI) of HDPE/MOSw@SiO2@KH570 and HDPE/MOSw@SiO2@PDA composites increased from 22.5 to 22.9 and 23.5, respectively.

A literature search was performed to retrieve articles describing different surgical approaches and techniques for robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) and to analyze data supporting their use. Video material was provided by experts in the field to illustrate these approaches and techniques.
Multiple surgical approaches are available: extraperitoneal, transvesical, transperitoneal posterior, transperitoneal anterior, Retzius sparing, and transperineal. Surgical techniques for prostatic dissection sensu strictu are the following: omission of the endopelvic fascia dissection, bladder neck preservation, incremental nerve sparing by means of an antegrade or retrograde approach, and preservation of the puboprostatic ligaments and dorsal venous complex. Recently, techniques for total or partial prostatectomy have been described.
Different surgical approaches and techniques for robotic prostatectomy have been analyzed.
Two randomized controlled trials evaluating the extraperitoneal versus the transperitoneal approach have demonstrated similar results. Level I evidence on the Retzius-sparing approach demonstrated earlier return to continence than the traditional anterior approach. The question whether Retzius-sparing RARP is associated with a higher rate of positive surgical margins is still open due to the intrinsic bias in terms of surgical expertise in the available comparative studies. This technique also offers an advantage in patients who have received kidney transplantation. Retrospective evidence suggests that the more the anatomical dissection (eg., more periprostatic tissue is preserved), the better the functional outcome in terms of continence. Yet, two randomized controlled trials evaluating the different techniques of dissection have so far been produced. Partial prostatectomies should not be offered outside clinical trials.

Skin photoaging affects appearance and is associated with a variety of skin diseases, even skin cancer. Therefore, the prevention and treatment of skin photoaging is very important. However, there is ...a lack of effective evaluation methods, so it is an urgent problem to explore a comprehensive, non-invasive and in vivo evaluation method. Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs) are widely used to improve skin conditions as easier to obtain and positive effects. Recently, as the development of ultrasound technology, skin ultrasound has been widely used. Changes in skin layer and structure can be observed by high-frequency ultrasound (HFUS). In addition, Shear wave elastography (SWE) technology can be used to monitor the change of skin hardness. However, it is necessary to further explore the ultrasound parameters in interpreting histological changes. We simulate the progression and treatment process of human skin photoaging by using UVB-induced nude mice skin photoaging model and ADSCs injection. The analysis of the degree and therapeutic effect of skin photoaging was conducted by HFUS, SWE and to verify with histopathology. Our study aims to clarify the value of HFUS combined SWE techniques in evaluating the degree and therapeutic efficacy of skin photoaging, which provides theoretical basis for diagnosis and treatment evaluation systems.
Cuproptosis, an emerging form of programmed cell death, has recently been identified. However, the association between cuproptosis-related long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) signature and the prognosis in ...prostate carcinoma remains elusive. This study aims to develop the novel cuproptosis-related lncRNA signature in prostate cancer and explore its latent molecular function.
RNA-seq data and clinical information were downloaded from the TCGA datasets. Then, cuproptosis-related gene was identified from the previous literature and further applied to screen the cuproptosis-related differentially expressed lncRNAs. Patients were randomly assigned to the training cohort or the validation cohort with a 1:1 ratio. Subsequently, the machine learning algorithms (Lasso and stepwise Cox (direction = both)) were used to construct a novel prognostic signature in the training cohorts, which was validated by the validation and the entire TCGA cohorts. The nomogram base on the lncRNA signature and several clinicopathological traits were constructed to predict the prognosis. Functional enrichment and immune analysis were performed to evaluate its potential mechanism. Furthermore, differences in the landscape of gene mutation, tumour mutational burden (TMB), microsatellite instability (MSI), drug sensitivity between both risk groups were also assessed to explicit their relationships.
The cuproptosis-related lncRNA signature was constructed based on the differentially expressed cuproptosis-related lncRNAs, including AC005790.1, AC011472.4, AC099791.2, AC144450.1, LIPE-AS1, and STPG3-AS1. Kaplan-Meier survival and ROC curves demonstrate that the prognosis signature as an independent risk indicator had excellent potential to predict the prognosis in prostate cancer. The signature was closely associated with age, T stage, N stage, and the Gleason score. Immune analysis shows that the high-risk group was in an immunosuppressive microenvironment. Additionally, the significant difference in landscape of gene mutation, tumour mutational burden, microsatellite instability, and drug sensitivity between both risk groups was observed.
A novel cuproptosis-related lncRNA signature was constructed using machine learning algorithms to predict the prognosis of prostate cancer. It was closely with associated with several common clinical traits, immune cell infiltration, immune-related functions, immune checkpoints, gene mutation, TMB, MSI, and the drug sensitivity, which may be useful to improve the clinical outcome.
The carbonization resistance ability of concrete is a very important index of durability. Based on the standard specimen test, the relationship between the gas permeability of slag high performance ...concrete and the carbonation depth is studied, and the law of influence on carbonation depth of slag high performance concrete by the gas permeability is concluded. The carbonation speed coefficient decided by gas permeability and the influence coefficient of the actual environment condition are introduced on the basis of carbonization theoretical model, and the prediction model of carbonation depth of slag high performance concrete is proposed. It proves that the model has a good accuracy through the experiment.
