Abstract
3D modeling technology is an important branch of interdisciplinary fields such as computer graphics, intelligent information processing, computer vision, and artificial intelligence. Through ...computer digitization, collecting three-dimensional data information of the target object, and then processing and simulation reproduction through computer technology, plays an important role in logistics engineering (LE). The purpose of this paper is the simulation research of LE based on computer three-dimensional modeling technology. This paper takes LE as the research object, firstly elaborates the functional and non-functional requirements of the system separately, and establishes an intelligent logistics system. This paper uses Flexsim simulation software to establish a logistics distribution simulation model. Based on the data collected in the survey, the model is parameterized. Through the data output from the simulation, the simulation data of the original logistics system and the logistics system designed in this paper are compared and analyzed. The simulation output data shows that the total number of products transported in and out of the warehouse of the original system’s 6 transport planes is 15,559, and the total number of products transported in and out of the warehouse of the 6 transport planes in the logistics system proposed in this paper is 17,144 pieces. It can be seen that this system has strong transportation efficiency in LE.
Three-dimensional (3D) imaging and image reconstruction play a prominent role in the diagnosis, treatment planning, and post-therapeutic monitoring of patients with congenital heart disease. More ...interactive and realistic medical experiences take advantage of advanced visualization techniques like augmented, mixed, and virtual reality. Further, 3D printing is now used in medicine. All these technologies improve the understanding of the complex morphologies of congenital heart disease. In this review article, we describe the technical advantages and disadvantages of various advanced visualization techniques and their medical applications in the field of congenital heart disease. In addition, unresolved issues and future perspectives of these evolving techniques are described.

A novel series of nano-sized metal chelates of 1-((E)-(2-mercaptophenylimino)methyl)naphthalen-2-ol (H2L) Azo-methine ligand with Fe(III), Ni(II) and Ag(II) were prepared and investigated for antitumor activities. The structures of all the synthesized compounds have been analyzed using various physicochemical techniques. The results showed a distorted square-planar geometry for Ni2L2 and AgL, whereas the geometry around the FeL complex is octahedral. The nano-sized Fe and Ag complexes were prepared in an easy, rapid andeco-friendly way using Spinacia oleracea (SO) extract in EtOH. X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and UV.Vis. spectra were used to assess the structural characteristics and particle size of the newly produced nano-sized Fe and Ag complexes. Furthermore, from TGA, we investigated the impact of heat on the particle size of newly prepared compounds. The geometry optimization of the prepared complexes and various quantum chemical parameters were computed by Gaussian 09 softwares. The results showed that all of the metal complexes studied are more stable than the free ligand H2L, with the Ni2L2 complex being the most stable. All micro- and nano-complexes were tested for in vitro anticancer activities, and the results revealed inhibition of cancer cell activity, although the smaller size is better than the larger size. The liver cancer and COVID‑19 were screened using molecular docking to determine the possible binding energy of inhibitors.
In an attempt to minimize surgical trauma in already vulnerable patients, pediatric surgeons are increasingly using minimally invasive surgery in surgical oncology, with similar outcomes as open ...surgery. In addition to its technical benefits, robotic surgery allows integration of technological enhancements, such as artificial-intelligence-based software or tri-dimensional (3D) modeling, into the operating room. In this article, we report our experience in robotic-assisted surgery for the resection of pediatric tumors and present current developments in 3D modeling applied to pelvic tumors. Since 2016, 149 oncology cases have been undertaken using the robotic approach. Neuroblastic tumors account for the most part, with a median hospital stay of two days 1–7 days and very few intraoperative events. The use of robotics was mainly extended to renal tumors (predominantly Wilms tumors) and endocrine tumors, but was found of particular interest for pelvic tumors. Our experience led us to publish a first set of guidelines on robotic surgical oncology, focusing on its apparent contraindications. 3D models derived from preoperative magnetic resonance imaging have been developed for more than 150 patients with solid tumors, but the pelvic area was made a key focus because of its anatomical complexity. In addition to their educational benefits, some of these 3D models were integrated into the robotic console as a surgical aid and proved invaluable for difficult dissections or nerve plexus preservation. As evidenced by the development of robotics and 3D modeling, pediatric oncology is leaning toward ultra-precise surgical resection tailored to the patient and the tumor.

In the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) domain, semantically rich 3D information models are increasingly used throughout a facility's life cycle for diverse applications, such as ...planning renovations, space usage planning, and managing building maintenance. These models, which are known as building information models (BIMs), are often constructed using dense, three dimensional (3D) point measurements obtained from laser scanners. Laser scanners can rapidly capture the “as-is” conditions of a facility, which may differ significantly from the design drawings. Currently, the conversion from laser scan data to BIM is primarily a manual operation, and it is labor-intensive and can be error-prone. This paper presents a method to automatically convert the raw 3D point data from a laser scanner positioned at multiple locations throughout a facility into a compact, semantically rich information model. Our algorithm is capable of identifying and modeling the main visible structural components of an indoor environment (walls, floors, ceilings, windows, and doorways) despite the presence of significant clutter and occlusion, which occur frequently in natural indoor environments. Our method begins by extracting planar patches from a voxelized version of the input point cloud. The algorithm learns the unique features of different types of surfaces and the contextual relationships between them and uses this knowledge to automatically label patches as walls, ceilings, or floors. Then, we perform a detailed analysis of the recognized surfaces to locate openings, such as windows and doorways. This process uses visibility reasoning to fuse measurements from different scan locations and to identify occluded regions and holes in the surface. Next, we use a learning algorithm to intelligently estimate the shape of window and doorway openings even when partially occluded. Finally, occluded surface regions are filled in using a 3D inpainting algorithm. We evaluated the method on a large, highly cluttered data set of a building with forty separate rooms.

Registration is a key step in 3D modeling. In this paper, we propose an efficient and accurate 3D modeling algorithm composed of pairwise registration and multi-view registration. In pairwise ...registration, we propose a novel local descriptor named divisional local feature statistics (DLFS) which is generated by first dividing a local space into several partitions along projected radial direction, and then performing the statistics of one spatial and three geometrical attributes on each partition. For improving the compactness of DLFS, a principal component analysis (PCA) technique is used to compress it. Based on the compressed DLFS descriptor together with a game theoretic matching technique and two variants of ICP, the pairwise registration is efficiently and accurately performed. On this basis, a multi-view registration is performed by combining shape growing based registration technique and simultaneous registration method. In this process, a correspondence transition technique is proposed for efficiently and accurately estimating the overlap ratio between any two inputting scans. Extensive experiments are conducted to verify the performance of our algorithms. The results show that the DLFS descriptor has strong robustness, high descriptiveness and efficiency. The results also show that the proposed 3D modeling algorithm is very efficient and accurate.
This paper presents the progress implemented during the AURA project, funded by the Creative-Europe program with project partners from Germany, Italy, and Ukraine. The project aims to create ...auralized applications for three music venues in each of the project countries, namely the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Teatro del Maggio in Florence, and the Opera House Lviv. Each will be digitally recreated and auralized before they are then used to conduct case studies. This paper gives insights into current digitalization and auralization techniques. The results of a digital survey will be laid out and the conception and implementation of a first auralized prototype using a hand-modeled 3D object from the Great Hall of the Konzerthaus Berlin will be demonstrated. Furthermore, the usage of auralization for touristic purposes will be investigated using artificial intelligence for an audience preference analysis. A conclusion will be drawn and a short outlook into the ongoing course of the AURA project will be given.
