Verblendung, Verwandlung und Spiegelung bezeichnen nicht nur in Canettis Dramen vielfach variierte Themenkomplexe, sondern finden dort auch als Figurenkonzept und als Strukturgeber ihren Einsatz. Im ...bislang unpublizierten vierten Drama werden jene Themen und Verfahren offenbar ergänzt und poetologisch fortgeschrieben: Denn die bereits etablierte Kategorie der akustischen Maske, die vor allem in den beiden frühen Texten die Artikulations-, letztlich Kommunikations- und Wahrnehmungskompetenz der Figuren gestaltet, erfährt mit der Verkleidung/Maskierung eine visuelle Entsprechung. Diese erscheint als eine weitere, jetzt interessanterweise sprachlose, dafür aber augenfällig in Szene gesetzte Variante, mit der alternative Täuschungs- und Ausweichmanöver entworfen, erneut das Komische implementiert, vor allem aber ex- wie implizite Bezüge zu den Vorgängertexten markiert, letztlich reflektiert werden können. (De-)Maskierung wird, so gesehen, zur zentralen Kategorie eines experimentell angelegten dramatischen Erzählens über und mit Strategien der Ver-/Enthüllung, die sich anhand akustisch und visuell angelegter Masken in einem komplexen Spiel mit Mehrdeutigkeiten und Verweisen entfalten.

The themes of delusion, transformation and mirroring form a complex in Canetti's plays which he presents in multiple variations. He uses them also to define character and provide structure. He takes these themes and techniques forward in the still unpublished fourth play where the already established category of the acoustic mask gains a visual counterpart in the form of disguises and actual physical masks. The acoustic mask, especially in the two early plays, shapes the characters' competence in speech, and ultimately in any form of communication and perception. Physical masks are a further non-linguistic variant which are presented ostentatiously on stage. Canetti thus designs alternative means of deception and evasion, reintroduces elements of comedy but, most importantly, refers through implicit and explicit self-reflexion to the previous texts. From this perspective, (un)masking becomes the central category of experimentally-designed dramatic story-telling with strategies of concealing and revealing in a complex game of ambiguities and cross-references.
Aim: In this study; It is aimed to identify the use of masks, which has become mandatory due to the Covid-19 epidemic since March 2020, the habits of individuals living in Turkey and the difficulties ...they face during the use of masks. Materials and Methods: Study; Within the framework of multiple-choice determinative questions, 1524 volunteers were randomized on the questionnaire platform. The data obtained were expressed in percentiles and inferences proportional to the purpose were obtained. Results: When the answers of the participants are examined, it is seen that 90% of the participants need to change a surgical mask, 31.4% double masks, 46.3% need to change masks within the day and 67.2% warn those who do not wear a mask. 75.9% of the same respondents gave "always" feedback to the statement "I use the mask to protect my health", 76.2% "always" to the statement "I use the mask to protect the health of the people around me". Finally, 48% of the participants stated that the radical extension in the Covid-19 epidemic process increased their sensitivity to mask use, and 34.3% stated that they could continue to use masks after the pandemic process is over. Conclusion: With this study, it was concluded that there is a high probability of encountering various problems in the use of masks and despite these problems that may negatively affect daily life, individuals show sensitivity in using masks in order to protect their health and those around them.

Aim: The use of face masks, compliance with hygiene and distance rules were among the leading measures during pandemic. But some authorities didn’t recommend face masks to preschool children. In this ...study we aimed to evaluate the attitudes of preschool children and their families towards face masks.
Materials and Methods: We performed a survey between February-March 2022 to 189 volunteer participants who have preschool children,in pediatric health and diseases outpatient clinics in two different centers. Survey was consisted of 40 questions and 4 parts: 1. Demographic characteristics 2. Covid 19 3. Use of face masks 4.Compliance with hygiene and distance rules
Results: Fifty three percent of the children used face mask. It was observed that the presence of a family member obsessed with cleaning caused a statistically higher increase in the number of handwashing in children(p:0,019). Mothers who were university graduates taught the children more distance rules(p.0.014), the number of handwashing increased in their children (:0.001) and the rate of using face masks was higher (p:0.036). Having a family member who have had Covid 19 was inversely proportional to the use of face masks in children (p:0.001) and correct use (p:0.033). It was observed that the rate of wearing masks was higher in children who used glasses (92%, p:0.006).
Discussion: Half of the preschool children used face masks regularly. Covid 19 rate was higher in the families whose children didn’t use face masks in community. Face masks can be recommended to preschool children who can use it, during the pandemic.
Amaç: Pandemi sürecinde yüz maskesi kullanımı, hijyen ve mesafe kurallarına uyulması başta gelen önlemler arasında yer almıştır. Ancak bazı okul öncesi çocuklara yüz maskesi kullanımını önermemektedir. Bu çalışmada okul öncesi çocukların ve ailelerinin yüz maskelerine yönelik tutumlarının değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntemler: Şubat-Mart 2022 tarihleri arasında iki farklı merkezde çocuk sağlığı ve hastalıkları polikliniklerinde okul öncesi çocuğu olan 189 gönüllü katılımcıya anket uygulandı. Anket 40 soru ve 4 bölümden oluşuyordu: 1. Demografik özellikler 2. Covid 19 3. Yüz maskesi kullanımı 4. Hijyen ve mesafe kurallarına uygunluk.
Bulgular: Çocukların yüzde elli üçü yüz maskesi kullanmıştı. Ailede temizlik takıntısı olan bir bireyin varlığının çocuklarda el yıkama sayısında istatistiksel olarak daha fazla artışa neden olduğu görüldü(p:0,019). Üniversite mezunu annelerin çocuklarına daha fazla mesafe kuralı öğrettiği(p.0.014), çocuklarında el yıkama sayısının arttığı (:0.001) ve yüz maskesi kullanma oranlarının daha yüksek olduğu (p:0.036) belirlendi. Ailede Covid 19 geçirmiş bir birey olması, çocuklarda yüz maskesi kullanımı (p:0,001) ve doğru kullanım (p:0,033) ile ters orantılıydı. Gözlük kullanan çocuklarda maske takma oranının daha yüksek olduğu görüldü (%92, p:0,006).
Tartışma: Okul öncesi çocukların yarısı düzenli olarak yüz maskesi kullanmıştı. Çocukları toplum içinde yüz maskesi kullanmayan ailelerde Covid 19 oranı daha yüksekti. Pandemi döneminde, kullanabilen okul öncesi çocuklara yüz maskeleri önerilebileceğini düşünmekteyiz.
På baggrund af feltarbejde i Marseille undersøger artiklen de sociale betydninger af mundbindet blandt en gruppe studerende, der deltog som frivillige i et fødevare- uddelingsprogram. Artiklen ...viser, hvordan mundbind skiftede betydning på tværs af sociale situationer og kunne symbolisere både solidaritet og social distance. Ved at konceptualisere mundbindet som et interaktionelt redskab argumenterer artiklen for, at manglende efterlevelse af mundbindspåbuddet ikke nødvendigvis var en moralsk brist, men derimod kunne være et produktivt socialt redskab i konstruktionen af fællesskab og intimitet. I en kontekst, hvor mundbindsbrug var meget udbredt og befordret af myndighederne, blev det at tage mundbindet af over for andre mennesker en stærk markering af personlig nærhed, hvis ikke det blev opfattet som et interaktionelt brud og genstand for sanktioner. Artiklen søger at nuancere forståelsen af mundbindsbrug som en entydigt prosocial adfærd ved at vise, hvordan dets betydning var situationelt konstrueret.
Farklı coğrafyalarda yaşayan halkların hemen hepsinin bir ritüel nesnesi olarak maske kullandıkları bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada ise Hakasya’da keşfedilen ölüm maskeleri üzerinde durulmuştur. MÖ 2 - ...MS 5. yüzyıllara tarihlendirilen Taştık arkeolojik kültürüne ait bu maskeler, doğrudan ölünün yüzüne yapılmış olmaları sebebiyle 2000 yıl önce Güney Sibirya’da yaşamakta olan Türklerin fenotipik özellikleri hakkında bilgi sağlamaktadır. Tang yıllıklarında bahsi geçen Kırgız ölüm gelenekleri üzerinden kurulan kültürel bağlantılar sonucu bu maskelerin herhangi bir etkileşim sonucu ortaya çıkmadığı ve özgün olduğu görüşüne varılmıştır. Ayrıca Taştık mezarlarından elde edilen buluntular arasında söz konusu dönemde oldukça değerli kabul edilen Çin ipeğinin bulunması, Taştıkların Han dönemi Çin devleti ile ilişki kurduklarını düşündürmektedir. Günümüzde Rusya ve Hakasya’daki müzelerde muhafaza edilen özgün Taştık maskelerinin fotoğraflarını içeren bir fotoğraf sergisi ilk kez 2009 yılında Sergey Narylkov tarafından açılmıştır. Narylkov’un koleksiyonundaki fotoğraflardan esinlenerek ortaya konulan fotoğraf sergisi projesi için söz konusu maskeler sanatsal bir üslupla yeniden yorumlanmıştır.
Maske, özellikle tıp dünyasının aşina olduğu cerrahi bir nesne iken, pandemi zamanında küresel bir fenomen haline gelmiştir. 2020 yılı itibariyle hayatta varolma mücadelesinin maske ile eşitlenir ...hale geldiğini söylemek mümkündür. Maske aynı zamanda nesne olmanın ötesinde sık kullanılan metaforlardandır. Bir metafor olarak kullanıldığında maskelemek, düşünce tarihinde mimetik düşüncenin pratiğidir. Mimetik düşüncede nesneler dünyası, ideler dünyasını kopya etmekte, maskelemektedir. “Varolma” güdüsünden hareketle geliştirilen bu düşünceye göre, görünür dünyanın ardında gizlenen bir hakiki dünya vardır. Güven telkin eden bu soyutlama edimi, toplumsal pratikte fazlasıyla karşılık bulmuş görünmektedir. İnsanlar sosyal hayatta kabul görmek için taklit suretiyle gerçek yüzlerini maskelemeye ihtiyaç duymaktadırlar. Dolayısıyla “persona” kelimesinin hem yüz hem de maske anlamını taşıması tarihsel bir rastlantı olmasa gerektir. Oysaki personanın maskesiyle özdeşleşmesi bir yabancılaşma durumudur. Tıbbın korumak gerekçesiyle tecrübe ettiğimiz maskesi ise yüz yüze iletişimi pratikten çıkarmaktadır. Tıp, maskesi ile insanı biyolojik bir varlığa indirgemekle bedenleşmeyi askıya almaktadır. Sekülerleşmenin özellikle beden üzerinden görünür hale geldiğini dikkate alacak olursak salgın, tıp için tekil bedenler üzerinden sosyal düzenlemeyi kolaylaştırmaktadır. Makale, maske ve yüz arasındaki homo dubleks (paradoks) ilişki biçimini ele alırken ve tıbbın maskesini bir biyopolitika pratiği olarak zoe (canlılık) ve bios (yaşam tarzı) üzerinden tartışırken, maskenin simgelediği “yeni normal hayat”tan önceki “normal”i arkeolojik yöntemle sorgulamayı denemektedir. Çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde maske metaforu üzerinden duyumsal deneyim dünyasını gölgeleyen mimetik (taklit) düşünce tartışma konusu yapılmıştır. Bu bölümde soyutlamak suretiyle nesne dünyasını maskeleyen mimetik düşünceye karşı eleştirel bir yaklaşım sergilenmiştir. İkinci bölümde maske ve yüzün her ikisini birden karşılayan persona kavramının homo dubleks yapısı üzerinde durulmuştur. Son bölümde ise birer form olarak din ve tıbbın beden politikaları, çoğalan nesneler yaratan maske’den canlı varlığa indirgendiği zoe’ye geçiş yapmak suretiyle incelenmiştir. Maske sözcüğünün özellikle Batı düşünce geleneğinde hakikati gizleyen bir metafor olarak yargılanması, Platon’un hakikat ile görünüş arasında açtığı derin yarıktan kaynaklanmaktadır. İdea/yüz-nesne/maske şeklinde kodlayabileceğimiz Platoncu metafizik düşünce her ne kadar temsilden hareketle hakikati işaret etse de temsilin hakikatine engel olamamış, temsile boyun eğmiştir. Tıpkı sudaki yansımasına âşık olan Narcissus’un kendi imagosu içine düşerek boğulması gibi. Zaten o büyük Düşüşten sonra; Tanrı’sı tarafından terk edilerek yeryüzüne sürgüne gönderilenin, İdeal-Ben’i gerçekleştirmesi için bunu göze alması gerekiyordu. Bu, var olayım derken kendisine yabancılaşan Hıristiyan Batı dünyasının en büyük trajedisidir: “Olmak ya da olmamak.” Pandemi zamanında tıbbî gerekçelerle salgından korunmak için takmak durumunda kaldığımız maske, esasında bedeni kontrol etmek suretiyle hayatı düzenleme amacı güden Foucaultcu terminoloji ile tam bir biyopolitika örneğidir. Anlaşılan o ki olağanüstülüğü çağrıştıran bu salgın koşulları panoptik yönetim tarzını daha da görünür hale getirmeye yaramaktadır. Bununla birlikte tıbbın maskesi, diğer maske çeşitlerinden farklı olarak sabit de olsa herhangi bir ifadeden de yoksundur. Dolayısıyla maskenin kapattığı bölge siliktir. Bu sayede en özgün iletişim aracından mahrum kalmasıyla insan hiçleşmektedir. Bu hiçleşme durumu, Agamben tarafından Batı siyasetinin Aristo’dan beridir temel hedefi haline getirdiği zoe ile açıklanmaktadır. Maskeyi takmasıyla her insan salt bir biyolojik varlığa indirgenmiş olmakla aynılaşmakta ve tektipleşmektedir. “Yüz yitimi”ne uğrayan insan kendisine yabancılaşmaktadır. Pandemi koşullarında insanı biyolojik varlığa indirgeyen “tıbbın maskesi” ile polis, oikosun içiyle sınırlandırılan zoe yaşam tarzına ev sahipliği yapmakta, sonuç olarak “kamusal insanın çöküşü”ne sahne olmaktadır. Günümüzün aktüel meselesini din sosyolojisinin başlıca konularından biri olan yabancılaşma açısından değerlendirdiğimizde ise Batılı nezdinde, yeryüzüne sürgüne gönderilmesiyle başlayan bu yabancılaşma sürecinin devam etmekte olduğu, Batı dünyasının başından beridir yaşadığı bu ruh halinin bugün itibari ile küresel çapta yaşanır hale geldiği söylenebilir. Öte yandan günümüzde, Batı düşüncesini karakterize eden mimetik düşüncenin gücünü ve geçerliliğini devam ettirdiğini düşünecek olursak, hakikatin temsilinden temsilin hakikatine evrilirken yaşanan hakikatten uzaklaşmayı dünya ölçeğinde yaşanan bir yabancılaşmanın hesabına dahil edebiliriz.

Through the exhibition works of the collective exhibition Disimulation of the Mask (Koprivnica Gallery AK, 23 January – 6 February 2021), the article interprets the performance dimension of pandemic ...masks, which can be considered as the object of the twin years 2020-2021 (Leone, 2020).
U današnje vrijeme, pojavom novog koronavirusa SARS-CoV-2 i njime uzrokovane bolesti nazvane COVID-19 suočeni smo na europskoj, ali i svjetskoj razini s pandemijom širokih razmjera i tzv. novim ...normalnim uvjetima života u kojima je nošenje maske za lice postala svakodnevna nužnost i obveza. Budući da se u slobodnoj prodaji na tržištu Republike Hrvatske, države članice Europske unije, nalaze maske različita oblika, veličine, boje, izrađene iz različitih (uglavnom tekstilnih) materijala, različitog sirovinskog sastava te različite sposobnosti filtriranja i razine zaštite, potrebno ih je ispravno i odgovarajuće označiti, te na taj način kupcu učiniti dostupnim dostatne informacije potrebne za donošenje odluke o kupnji. S tim u svezi nužno je razlučiti temeljne vrste maski za lice i poznavati njihovu primjenjivost. Prema preporukama Hrvatskoga zavoda za javno zdravstvo razlikujemo filtarske polumaske s ventilom i bez ventila, medicinske (kirurške) maske te higijenske maske za lice. Stoga je u radu dan pregled temeljnih vrsta maski za lice, pri čemu su uz pojašnjenje njihove primjenjivosti u svakodnevnoj uporabi među općom populacijom opisani bitni zahtjevi koji se na njih postavljaju, vrste materijala od kojih se izrađuju te u konačnici način njihove razredbe i označivanja, s posebnim osvrtom na važeću nacionalnu i europsku zakonodavnu te normativnu legislativu, propitujući pritom mogućnosti respiratorne zaštite.
With the occurrence of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-12 and the disease called COVID-19, in the Republic of Croatia we are faced with living conditions in which wearing of face masks has become a daily necessity and obligation. Therefore, this paper provides an overview of the basic types of face masks – valved and valveless filtering half masks, medical (surgical) masks, and hygienic masks. Their applicability in everyday use, the essential requirements that they must fulfil, the types of textile materials of which they are made, and their classification and labelling are described, with special reference to valid national and European legislation and standards, while questioning the possibilities of respiratory protection.
