O trabalho propõe realizar uma reflexão sobre o projeto Pantera Negra: Representatividade Negra e Práticas Educativas, implementado nas escolas municipais pela prefeitura de Belo Horizonte no ano de ...2018. O projeto tem como objetivo fomentar a inserção da Lei 10.639/2003 e o debate sobre a representatividade negra, sobremaneira a representatividade negra feminina. O filme Pantera Negra, de produção americana, lançado em 2018 no Brasil, tem como destaque integrar um elenco majoritariamente negro e ser ambientado em grande parte no continente africano, no país fictício de Wakanda. Em nossa análise, além de trazermos reflexões sobre o filme, discutimos as respostas de um questionário que usamos com as professoras da rede pública que participaram ativamente da ação. A partir de nossos resultados, concordamos que o projeto Pantera Negra é de grande envergadura para implementação da educação das relações étnico-raciais, mesmo diante de outros aspectos igualmente relevantes, uma vez que o filme apresenta cenas que ainda contribuem para um imaginário binário (oriente x ocidente), permitindo que outras indagações sejam tecidas e fiadas na busca da emancipação da população negra e da descolonização dos currículos.

This article aims to observe the possibilities that the characters Pantera Negra and Zumbi dos Palmares enjoy to be used to think about the History of the Afro population and enslaved peoples. ...Seeking, therefore, to situate each of these characters and think of them as resources that, through their representations and stories, make it possible to mediate between History and Teaching. The choice to use a fictional character and a real one was due to the fact that, to some extent, both embody the image of the warrior, an element that contributes to possible relationships at the same time that we seek to explore the potential of each one of them and their uses in the area of history teaching.
Often there is a tendency to consider that of the Panther as a mere student movement locked up in the universities. For this reason, unlike that of 1968 or 1977, little has been written about it. ...Yet, if we immerse ourselves in the documents produced in the faculties occupied in 1990, we come across the first critiques of neoliberalism elaborated in Italy, in analyses of the precariousness of the world of work, in media practices that, still today, characterize social movements. Perhaps, studying that movement can help to better understand our days.
Este artigo tem como finalidade observar as possibilidades que os personagens Pantera Negra e Zumbi dos Palmares desfrutam para serem utilizados para pensarmos a História da população afro e dos ...povos escravizados. Procurando, para tanto, situar cada um destes personagens e pensá-los enquanto recursos que, através das suas representações e histórias, sejam possíveis realizar mediações entre História e Ensino. A escolha na utilização de um personagem fictício e outro real deu-se pelo fato de que, em alguma medida, ambos encarnam a imagem do guerreiro, elemento que colabora para possíveis relações ao mesmo tempo em que procuramos explorar as potencialidades de cada um deles e os seus usos na área de ensino de História.

The article concludes that the possibility that the soldier under question was Jesus' father is remote.
Since 1948 (when the Italian Constitution became law) Italian University had been waiting for 40 years for the approval of a reform. During this long period of paralysis, there was only a break in ...1989 when the Italian Parliament approved the autonomy reform of the University. This article analyses both the work done by the ministry of University and Research led by Ruberti (1988-1992) and the reform. The analysis has been developed through the study of parliamentary acts (the law number 168 of 1989 and the law number 341 of 1990) and through the documents written both by the student movement called “La Pantera” and by the academic community against the reform.
We evaluated several factors that might be related to the home-range size of felids at both inter and intraspecific levels. At the interspecific level, we tested the influence of body mass on home ...range size of 19 felid species, while controlling for phylogeny. At the species level, we evaluated the effect of sex and habitat type (open vs. closed) on the home range size of three species of felids occurring in America, Panthera onca, Leopardus pardalis and Puma concolor, which are among the most studied species concerning home ranges. Body mass, sex, and home range data were extracted from the Pantheria database (for 19 species, for interspecific comparisons) and from 48 studies for intraspecific comparisons. We assessed the influence of body mass on the home range size of felids using phylogenetic generalized least squares analysis. We evaluated the existence of sexual dimorphism on both home range size and body mass using paired t-tests. Finally, we investigated the influence of habitat type (open vs. closed) on home range size using ANOVA. Our results show that home range size is positively influenced by body mass in felids. At the intraspecific level, we confirmed that both the body mass and home range are larger for males than for the females in P. onca, L. pardalis and P. concolor. Moreover, the average home range size of P. onca is larger in open (i.e., grasslands, deserts and shrublands) than in closed (i.e., forests) habitats. Overall, our results confirm that larger home ranges are associated with larger body sizes in animals that need a large amount of food resources or specific resources (such as the specific prey requirements of felids) to maintain their metabolic rates. Furthermore, home range size of these three felids seems to be strongly influenced by reproductive attributes as well as by habitat quality, suggesting a connection with the spatial distribution of both food (prey) and mates. https://doi.org/10.25260/EA.17.27.2.0.416
Populations of large carnivores are declining globally, and analysis of public discourse about carnivores is useful for understanding public opinion and influences on management and policy. Portrayal ...of carnivores in the media affects public perceptions and support f or their conservation. We conducted a content analysis of 513 articles about Florida panthers (Puma concolor coryi) published from 2003 to 2006 in newspapers with local circulation in core panther habitat in southwest Florida and papers with statewide circulation to compare the differences in the amount of coverage and portrayals of panther risks to people and property on the basis of proximity of human communities to panthers. Local papers published significantly more news articles and significantly longer news articles primarily about panthers. Articles in local and statewide papers used both episodic frames, which focus on specific occurrences (e.g., a panther sighting or predation) and thematic frames, which focus on general trends (e.g., abundance of panthers over time). Local articles more often emphasized risks that panthers might harm people, pets, or livestock than statewide papers. Our results are consistent with theory that proximity to human-carnivore conflict influences perceptions and salience of risks posed by large carnivores. Most articles mentioned panthers as a secondary topic, which we believe was a result of the relevance an endangered carnivore has in discussions of public land management, development, and regulations in Florida. Claims made by sources quoted in each article had a neutral to positive depiction of panthers, and most quotations were from federal and state agency scientists. We suggest continued use by the media of agency sources provides the opportunity for clear, concordant messages about panther management. Content analysis provides a way to monitor media portrayal of carnivores for consistency with agency outreach goals. Las poblaciones de carnívoros mayores están declinando globalmente, y el análisis del discurso público sobre carnívoros es útil para entender la opinión pública y sus influencias sobre el manejo y la política. La representación de carnívoros en los medios afecta las percepciones públicas y al soporte para su conservación. Realizamos un análisis de contenidos de 513 artículos sobre panteras de Florida (Puma concolor coryi) publicados entre 2003 2006 en periódicos de circulación local en el centro de habitat de pantera en el suroeste de Florida y en periódicos de circulación estatal para comparar las diferencias en la cobertura y representación de los riesgos de las panteras para la gente y la propiedad privada con base en la cercanía de comunidades humanas y panteras. Los periódicos locales publicaron significativamente más noticias y artículos significativamente más extensos sobre panteras. Los artículos en periódicos locales y estatales utilizaron tanto marcos episódicos, que se concentran en ocurrencias específicas (e.g., un avistamiento o depredación de pantera) como temáticos, enfocados en tendencias generales (e.g., abundancia de panteras en el tiempo). Los artículos locales a menudo enfatizaron los riesgos que las panteras representan para humanos, mascotas y ganado más que los periódicos estatales. Nuestros resultados son consistentes con la teoría de que la cercanía al conflicto humano-carnívoro influye las percepciones y la prominencia de riesgos que representan los carnívoros mayores. La mayoría de los artículos mencionó a las panteras como tema secundario, que consideramos que fue resultado de la relevancia que ha tenido un carnívoro en peligro en las discusiones de manejo, desarrollo y regulaciones de tierras públicas en Florida. Algunas demandas de fuentes citadas en cada artículo dieron una descripción de neutra a positiva de las panteras, y la mayoría de las citas fueron de científicos de agencias federales y estatales. Sugerimos que el uso continuo de los medios por parte de las agencias proporciona la oportunidad para enviar mensajes claros y concordantes del manejo de las panteras. El análisis de contenidos proporciona una manera de monitorear la imagen que los medios dan a los carnívoros y su consistencia con las metas de la agencia.
A literatura especulativa é um gênero que cresce de forma acelerada na contemporaneidade. Sua popularidade se deve à inserção de novas perspectivas e à promoção da ascensão de vozes nunca antes ...consideradas na tradição literária. Esse fenômeno gerou uma série de intricadas manifestações da arte literária, como é o caso da utopia preta e das narrativas de futuros pretos do movimento afrofuturista. O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar as perspectivas literárias especulativas ideais produzidas e/ou protagonizadas pelo povo preto. Desse modo, propomos um estudo analítico das configurações da utopia afrofuturista no filme Pantera Negra (2018), de Ryan Coogler, e do conto “Pele de Emergência” (2021), de N. K Jemisin. Para tal, buscamos aporte nas obras e contribuições teóricas de Zygmunt Bauman (2000), Marilena Chauí (2008), Gregory Claeys (2013), David Harvey (2008), Renato Noguera (2012), André Prévost (2015), Raymond Williams (1978), Ytasha L. Womack (2013) e Alex Zamalin (2019).
