RFM is a model used to analyze the behavior of customer by means of three variables: Recency, Frequency and Monetary. The scores of these variables are expressed by an integer number, typically, in ...the range 1..5. The fuzzy linguistic approach is a tool intended for modeling qualitative information in a problem. In this paper, we propose to manage these RFM scores using the 2–tuple model which is a fuzzy linguistic model of information representation that carries out processes of “computing with words” without the loss of information. The proposed model permits us an easy linguistic interpretability and let us obtain a more precise representation of the RFM scores. Therefore, by interpreting these linguistic scores, decision makers can effectively identify valuable customers and consequently develop more effective marketing strategy. Additionally, we present an IBM SPSS Modeler implementation of this model. As a particular case study, we show an application example in order to select the customer of a loyalty campaign.
Abstract One of the factors causing the low score of student learning outcomes Statistics and Probability on midterm exams is that during practice or studying on their own, students feel the ...complexity of solving questions about data analysis in Statistics and Probability courses and the difficulty of obtaining confirmation of correct answers. This encourages to find alternative solutions. One of them is using Excel and Statistical Program of Social Science (SPSS) software in Statistics and Probability learning. The purpose of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of Statistics and Probability using Excel and SPSS software. The method used in this research is the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Samples were selected using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To see if there is an increase in learning outcomes, it is done by comparing the average learning outcomes of the midterm exams (before using Excel and SPSS software) and final semester exams (after using Excel and SPSS software). The results of the Wicoxon test showed Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the pretest and posttest means are significantly different. This shows that there is an increase in learning outcomes before and after learning using Excel and SPSS software, so it is concluded that student learning outcomes in Statistics and Probability courses can be improved through learning by using Excel and SPSS software. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik Cluster random Sampling. Untuk melihat apakah ada peningkatan hasil belajar, dilakukan dengan membandingkan rata-rata hasil belajar ujian tengah semester (sebelum memanfaatkan software Excel dan SPSS) dan ujian akhir semester (setelah memanfaatkan software Excel dan SPSS). Hasil uji Wicoxon menunjukkan Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 kurang dari 0,05 sehingga disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata pretest dan posttest berbeda secara signifikan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran memanfaatkan software Excel dan SPSS, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Statistik dan Probabilitas dapat ditingkatkan melalui pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan software Excel dan SPSS. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa PGSD yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan SPSS dengan yang diajarkan dan menggunakan pembelajaran ...konvensional pada materi statistika deskriptif di Universitas Almuslim. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian true eksperimental. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Almuslim semester V yang terdiri dari 4 kelas dan berjumlah 240 mahasiswa sedangkan yang menjadi sampel yaitu kelas V/A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas V/C sebagai kelas kontrol yang masing-masing berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini berupa tes yang diberikan melalui post-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan uji t independent sample test diperoleh nilai sig. (2 Tailed) yaitu 0.023. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig. (2 Tailed) < 5% maka  ditolak, artinya hasil belajar mahasiswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan SPSS lebih baik dari pada yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.  Abstract The purpose of this study is to determine whether there are differences in the learning outcomes of PGSD students who are taught using SPSS with those taught and use conventional learning on descriptive statistics material at Almuslim University. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach and a type of true experimental research. As for the population in this study were all semester 5 PGSD Almuslim University students consisting of 4 classes and totaling 240 students while the sample was class V/A as an experimental class and class V/C as a control class, each amounting to 30 person. Data collection instruments in this study in the form of tests provided through post-test. Based on the results of data analysis using the Independent Sample Test t test obtained sig. (2 Tailed) which is 0.023. This shows that the value of sig. (2 Tailed) < 5%, then H0 is rejected, meaning that student learning outcomes taught using SPSS are better than those taught using conventional learning.

This paper is based on a study examining the impact of young people's backgrounds and educational experiences on career choice capability with the aim of informing education policy. A total of 706 ...students from secondary schools (Years 9-12) in New South Wales, Australia took part in an online survey. This paper focuses on the differences found between groups on the basis of their educational experiences. Participants who were uncertain of their future career plans were more likely to attend non-selective, non-metropolitan schools and were more likely to hold negative attitudes towards school. Career 'uncertain' students were also less likely to be satisfied with the elective subjects offered at their school and reported less access to career education sessions. It is concluded that timely career information and guidance should be provided to students and their families in order to allow them to more meaningfully make use of the resources and opportunities available to them with a view toward converting these into real world benefits. Objective: Individuals' illness perceptions predict health behaviours and influence functional outcomes. This study examined associations between a novel assessment of illness perceptions, in the ...form of adult's brain drawings after traumatic brain injury (TBI) and questionnaire measures of illness perceptions, quality of life and post-concussive symptoms.
Design: Population-based, prospective longitudinal study examining 245 adults with predominantly mild TBI with high risk of complications.
Main outcome measures: Participants were asked to draw pictures of what they thought their brain looked like before injury and at baseline and one month post-injury. Drawing characteristics (height, width and percentage damage at one month) were examined in relation to each outcome of interest at six months.
Results: Greater damage at one month was associated with more negative illness perceptions (rs = .23), poorer mental health (rs = −.21), and more total post-concussive symptoms (rs = .27 to r = .35) at six months. The extent of damage depicted reduced over time (p < .001). No associations were found between the amount of damage drawn and injury severity, nor the height or width of drawings and injury severity or illness perceptions.
Conclusion: Drawings post-TBI offer a simple, cost- and time-effective way to begin discussions and improve understanding of peoples' illness perceptions.
