This article presents the issue of conditions of values-oriented upbringings. At the beginning the process of values-oriented upbringing. Talking about values-oriented upbringing one should pay ...attention to the role played by various educational environments. The most critical place, where a child’s hierarchy of values is shaped, is their family. It is followed by the school environment, which influences child’s values in an intentional and purposeful manner. A teacher sending to children specific messages in a school introduces them at the same time to the world of values. A peer group also plays an essential role in shaping the values of a young person. Currently, one of important elements shaping the system of values is mass media.
The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of family upbringing methods on the formation of health awareness in children by examining the correlation between family upbringing methods and ...dimensions of health awareness. The research adopts a correlational methodology and includes the development of a scale for family upbringing methods consisting of 20 items distributed among four styles and a scale for health awareness consisting of 15 items distributed among three dimensions. These scales are applied to a random sample of 80 male and female respondents. One of the key findings of the research is the lack of a statistically significant correlation between authoritarian, democratic, and neglectful family upbringing styles and the level of health awareness in children. However, there was a statistically significant relationship between the overprotective style of upbringing and the level of health awareness in children who are subjected to it. The results also showed no statistically significant differences in the sample's responses based on variables such as gender, age, and birth order within the family. Child’s personality development is still being a significant component of Ukrainian society. We should pay attention to the emotional, physical and intellectual development of children, which is ...vital for their future. In order to achieve an objectivity, this research is focused on the analyzing of ‘family phenomenon’, including religious, moral categories and historical facts. The purpose of the research is to investigate the impact of upbringing and education of children on the quality of family life in the future. To achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the following scientific methods were applied: historical, descriptive, distributional, the method of comparative analysis, and the method of typological analysis. The application of these scientific methods made it possible to demonstrate the weakness of parental upbringing, neglecting the emotional state of children, and the low level of education of the population. The scientific novelty of the research results consists in an effort to reñonsider the definition of parenting role from different angles, focusing not only on the positive aspects, but also exploring the negative ones. The study makes it possible to ascertain the inadequacy of family life and educational potential of Ukrainians in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In order to objectively reproduce historical reality, it is necessary to further scrutinize educational aspect so as to avoid idealization of Christian-moral moments and not to fall victim to traditional stereotypes.
The article considers the issues of the upbringing significance of philosophy as a university discipline in forming a student’s personality. This issue is caused by the specifics of philosophical ...knowledge, which, on the one hand, is not related to the specific professional needs of students, defined in the State Educational Standard as three goals: “to know – to be able – to master the skills”, and, on the other hand, causes a positive response and interest in the majority of students. Young people find in philosophy something no less important than professional and practical knowledge. The authors draw attention to the latent upbringing role of philosophical knowledge. To this end, the authors separate the concepts of education and upbringing and show that while education, in general, is limited by the social demand, upbringing by its nature is not limited by the social framework and its purpose is to create conditions for forming a person. The authors prove that philosophy plays a deep upbringing role, as holistic knowledge that combines ontology, epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, and axiology. The article reveals the association between the idea of being with the need of a person to distinguish reality from pseudo-reality, actual spiritual and personal development from deceptive success, to determine for themselves the real rather than illusory goals of life.
The study is a conceptual investigation of the biblical ideas that address and support the fatherly role in children’s upbringing both spiritual development and at-home training. The information was ...acquired using a biblical lexicon, commentaries, the internet, journals and other sources that discuss at-home instruction on children's spiritual development. The primary claim of responsibility for children’s upbringing belongs to the parents. The father’s involvement has huge implications on their children in terms of cognitive, social and emotional developmental abilities and a decrease in negative behavioural outcomes. The study exposed the fathers to the reputation of raising their children in the way of the Lord. It was deduced that God holds parents responsible for the teaching and upbringing of their children. The father-child relationship quality plays an active role in organizing family life and also strengthens the relationship with the children’s upbringing. It was recommended that Christian fathers should be educated about their role and responsibilities in children’s upbringing, live an exemplary life for their children and disengage from using abusive words or curses on their children.
The article discusses educational aspects in the work of a teacher of vocational subjects in technical schools training for the profession of hotel management technician. The results of own research ...are presented, in which the research problem was formulated in the form of the question: how do teachers of vocational subjects in hotel technical schools perform the educational function? The research was qualitative in nature. Nine teachers of vocational subjects (teachers of theoretical vocational subjects and a teacher of practical vocational training) from two schools participated in it. During the research, the interview method and document analysis method were used. From the educational and preventive programs in effect at the studied schools, educational goals and a description of the student graduating from the technical school were obtained. An analysis was made of the extent to which they are implemented during lessons in vocational subjects.
