Trojan fir (Abies nordmanniana subsp. equi-trojani) is an endemic primary forest tree classified as endangered (EN) by International Union for Nature Conservation (IUCN) distirbuted between the Biga ...Peninsula and the Kızılırmak Delta. The aim of this study is to compile all the studies published on Kazdağı fir to reveal what is known and unknown about the species. For this purpose, the literature was reviewed using the current taxonomic name of the species and all synonyms. Among these publications, the studies which were directly focused on the Trojan fir were selected, and were groupped based on the focused populations (Kazdağları, Uludağ, Batı Karadeniz) and the subjects of the studies (taxonomy, evolution and phylogeny, genetics, ecology and ecophysiology, morphology, diseases and pests, product use and properties, silviculture and management). The publications under each group were reviewed in detail. Lastly, an open access publication list was created consisting of a total of 228 publications, including 181 scientific journal articles, 10 symposium papers, 16 technical reports and 21 master's or doctoral theses. The results show that although studies on Trojan fir have increased after the 2000s, there is not enough information about the taxonomic complexity and evolutionary process of the species. Likewise, studies on the morphology and ecology of Trojan fir are very limited. With the increasing effect of climate change, diseases and pests have started to be studied more frequently; though, there are studies before 2000 on the forest management of the species, no recent studies has been conducted. Even though the species is endemic and endangered, the studies on its conservation are very llimited. The lack of studies on physiological, ecological and genetic properties of the species constitute an important obstacle for the progress of studies on the conservation of Trojan fir.
Cilj članka je opredeliti tranzicije, do katerih prihaja na makro ravni globalnih politik, in sicer prehod od izobraževanja odraslih do vseživljenjskega učenja ter posledično prehod od ...izobraževalnega sektorja do ekosistemov vseživljenjskega učenja. Za analizo dokumentov mednarodnih organizacij smo uporabili Ehlersov model in politične okvire ter tako izpostavili dva premika: prvi je prehod iz izobraževalnega sektorja v ekosisteme vseživljenjskega učenja, drugi pa prehod sektorja izobraževanja odraslih v učenje in izobraževanje odraslih znotraj okvira vseživljenjskega učenja. Oba prehoda sta zaradi pogojev za dodeljevanje sredstev neizogibna in učečim se ponujata ogromno priložnosti, a se to skozi njihovo nesodelovanje ne potrjuje. Zainteresirani akterji v izobraževanju odraslih lahko torej ta prehoda spodbudijo s pozitivnim pristopom do novih priložnosti ter hkrati izrazijo pomisleke neslišanih učečih se ali pa se spremembam uprejo in tako dolgoročno izginejo zaradi pomanjkanja relevantnosti in posledične izgube sredstev za delovanje.
Amaç: Sağlık hizmetleri, son yıllarda yaşanan teknolojik gelişmelerden üst düzeyde etkilenmiş ve birçok iş süreci dijital ve akıllı platformlara taşınmaya başlamıştır. Bu doğrultuda bu çalışmanın ...amacı akıllı sağlık ekosistemi ve güncel uygulama örneklerinin incelenerek değerlendirilmesidir. Yöntem: Sağlık hizmet sunumunda kullanılan mobil sağlık, e-sağlık, teletıp, dijital hastane, giyilebilir sağlık teknolojileri, robotik sağlık ve büyük veri gibi akıllı sağlık araçlarının güncel durumu ve iyi uygulama örnekleri ilgili teorik literatür ve pratik yaşamdan taranarak çalışmanın sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Sonuç: Bu çalışma kapsamında, özellikle 2010’lu yıllardan itibaren sağlık hizmetlerinde dijitalleşme ve akıllı sağlık uygulamalarının giderek arttığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu kapsamda mSağlık, teletıp, robotik sağlık, giyilebilir sağlık teknolojileri, büyük veri, nesnelerin interneti gibi akıllı sağlık araçlarının birbirleriyle etkileşimi ve senkronize olmasıyla “Akıllı Sağlık Ekosistemi” oluşmaya başladığı tespit edilmiştir.
Drought is one of the important problems influencing forest ecosystems. This problem has been getting more attention recently due to impacts of global warming. Drought could decrease aboveground ...growth of plants by 30-70% and restrict their natural distribution boundary and biodiversity. Growth of trees is controlled by the availability of water up to 80-90%. In Turkey, drought triggered forest tree mortalities have been observed in leeward sides of Black Sea Region, Central Anatolian Region and Aegean Region. Dead trees of Scots pine and oriental spruce found in Black Sea Region, of black pine, scots pine and fir in Central Anatolian Region and of brutian pine in Aegean Region. In addition, drought triggered bark beetle infestation that caused dying of thousands of spruce trees in Eastern Black Sea Region. Main reasons of increasing drought effect are global warming, overgrazing, conversion of grassland and forest areas into croplands and increased erosion in Turkey. Grassland area in Turkey was 38.9 million ha in 1949 and this area had been decreased to 28.3 million ha till 1969 and today is 21.8 million ha. While agricultural land area was 8.5 million ha in 1935, it increased to 25 million ha in 1970 and today it is 28 million ha. Meanwhile forested land area had been decreased up to 2.6 million ha from 1950 to 1997. In Turkey, drought tolerant ecotypes of important timber species need to be selected in order to reduce the potential effects of global warming on tree mortalities. Additionally, drought risk maps of forest areas should be prepared to determine drought risk assessment and take necessary measures. Drought can further accelerate the effects and extent of erosion. Therefore, it is also important to account the effects of erosion on the productivity of agricultural and forest goods. Finally, effects of global warming need to be incorporated into afforestation strategies of Turkey.

düşünülmektedir. Ekosistem sayesinde; girişimciler herhangi bir etkin sermayenin
yönlendirmesine maruz kalmadan, projelerini üretim ve dağıtım düzeyine, kurumsal
bir ölçeğe sahip bir marka değerine ulaştırabilmeleri mümkün olmaktadır. Böylelikle
oldukça demokratik ve açık bir üretim döngüsü ortamı yaratılmaktadır. Bu yapısal
özellikler bağlamında, kitle fonlama projelerinin bütçesel anlamda kaynaklanması
için ilgili paydaşlara sunulduğu ve bu paydaşlar ile etkileşimli bir iletişim ortamının
yaratıldığı web siteleri de özel bir önem kazanmaktadır. Bu nedenle, Türkiye’de
varlık gösteren kitle fonlama web siteleri (buluşum, crowdfon, fongogo ve arıkovanı)
sistem kullanılabilirlik ölçeğinden (System Usability Scale) adapte edilen web
kullanılabilirlik ölçeği (Web Usability Scale) ile kullanıcı etkileşimi ve kullanılabilirlik
düzeyinde ölçümlenmekte ve çalışma özelinde yaratılan tasarım değerlendirme
şablonu (TDŞ) ile görsel iletişim tasarımı özellikleri üzerinden değerlendirilmektedir
(n=10). Böylelikle kitle fonlama projelerinin ilgili paydaşlara sunulabildiği tek
kanal olan bu iletişim köprülerinin, üzerlerine düşen etkileşim sorumluluğunu ne
ölçüde yerine getirebildikleri, kullanılabilirlik fonksiyonu ile görsel iletişim tasarımı
standartları bağlamı ilk kez bir araya getirilerek tartışmaya sunulmaktadır.
The term biodiversity has become a mainstream concept that can be found in any newspaper at any given time. Concerns on biodiversity protection are usually linked to species protection and extinction ...risks for iconic species, such as whales, pandas and so on. However, conserving biodiversity has much deeper implications than preserving a few (although important) species. Biodiversity in ecosystems is tightly linked to ecosystem functions such as biomass production, organic matter decomposition, ecosystem resilience, and others. Many of these ecological processes are also directly implied in services that the humankind obtains from ecosystems. The first part of this book will introduce different concepts and theories important to understand the links between ecosystem function and ecosystem biodiversity. The second part of the book provides a wide range of different studies showcasing the evidence and practical implications of such relationships.
A bacterial model system (Pseudomonas putida DSM 50026) was used in this research to assess toxicity of the environmentally relevant concentrations of mercury species (MeHg and Hg(II)) that represent ...important pollutants of aquatic ecosystems at sites of industrial or mining activities. In addition to direct monitoring of bacterial growth, we also analyzed fatty acid profiles of exposed and non-exposed cultures to determine possible toxic effects manifested on membrane level. The results showed that exposure of P. putida to Hg(II) in concentrations of 0.2-200 μg/L did not have any significant effects on growth nor fatty acid composition of exposed bacterial culture. On the other hand, when bacteria were exposed to up to 1600-times lower concentrations of MeHg (0.12-12.5 μg/L), growth inhibition as well as significant changes in fatty acid composition were detected. Observed adaptive membrane changes due to MeHg exposure were similar to those associated with responses to organic solvents and some other membrane-disrupting compounds.
V raziskavi smo na bakterijskem modelu (Pseudomonas putida DSM 50026) analizirali strupenost okoljskih koncentracij anorganske (Hg(II)) in organske (MeHg) oblike živega srebra, ki predstavljata pomembna vira onesnaženja vodnih ekosistemov v bližini nekaterih industrijskih in rudarskih območij. Poleg neposrednega spremljanja bakterijske rasti smo analizirali tudi maščobnokislinske profile izpostavljenih bakterijskih kultur in jih primerjali s tistimi, ki živosrebrovima spojinama niso bili izpostavljeni. Rezultati so pokazali, da izpostavitev P. putida Hg(II) v koncentracijah med 0,2 in 200 μg/L ne inhibira rasti, niti ne vpliva na maščobnokislinsko sestavo bakterijskih membran. Nasprotno pa je izpostavitev celic do 1600-krat nižjim koncentracijam MeHg povzročila tako upočasnitev rasti kot tudi prilagoditvene spremembe na membranskem nivoju. Slednje so bile podobne kot tiste, opažene ob izpostavitvi bakterij organskim topilom in nekaterim drugim spojinam, ki motijo integriteto membran.
Physokermes piceae ladinlerin önemli bir zararlısıdır. Bu zararlının biyolojik özellikleri 2001-2003 yılları arasında Piceae pungens üzerinde Ankara’nın şehir ekosisteminde araştırılmıştır. Çalışma ...sonunda P. piceae’nin yılda bir döl verdiği, kışı II. larva döneminde geçirdiği tespit edilmiştir. Ovipar olan P. piceae, yumurtalarını vücut altında oluşan iki yumurta odacığına depolamaktadır. Yumurtlama mayıs ayında başlamakta ve haziran sonu temmuz ayı başında hareketli larvalar görülmektedir. II. nimf dönemi eylül-mayıs ayları arasında, ergin erkek ve dişiler nisan ortasından haziran ayının ikinci yarısına kadar görülmektedir. P. piceae erkekleri ibrelerin alt yüzeylerinde, dişiler ise dallarda bulunmaktadır. Bu türde erkeklerin populasyondaki oranı %54.37, dişilerin % 45.62 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Yumurta sayısı, 2001 yılında ortalama 844.63 ±49.09, 2002 yılında ise 925.35 ±49.84 adet saptanmıştır
This paper focuses mainly on both impacts of the climate change on agriculture and food security, and multidisciplinary scientific assessment and recommendations for sustainable agro ecological ...solutions including traditional knowledge responding to these impacts. The climate change will very likely affect four key dimensions of the food security including availability, accessibility, utilization and sustainability of the food, due to close linkage between food and water security and climate change. In one of the most comprehensive model studies simulating impacts of global climate change on agriculture to date, it was estimated that by 2080, in a business-as-usual scenario, climate change will reduce the potential output of global agriculture by more than 3.2 per cent. Furthermore, developing countries will suffer the most with a potential 9.1 per cent decline in agricultural output, for example with a considerable decrease of 16.6 per cent in Africa. Some comprehensive studies pointed out also that all regions may experience significant decreases in crop yields as well as significant increases, depending on emission scenarios and the assumptions on effectiveness of carbon dioxide (CO2) fertilization. One of the tools that would ensure the food security by making use of local sources and traditional knowledge is agroecology. Agroecology would contribute to mitigation of the anthropogenic climate change and cooling down the Earth’s increasing surface and lower atmospheric air temperatures, because it is mainly labour-intensive and requires little uses of fossil fuels, energy and artificial fertilisers. It is also necessary to understand the ecological mechanisms underlying sustainability of traditional farming systems, and to translate them into ecological principles that make locally available and appropriate approaches and techniques applicable to a large number of farmers.
