Opće kulturne vrijednosti i neke temeljne spoznaje o čovjekovoj prirodi ustuknule su danas u zapadnom, potrošačkim društvu, pred konzumerizmom i kičem.
Konačno, pokušat ćemo kroz navedene fenomene izložiti, s jedne strane, veze i međuodnose umjetničkog djela poput romana i filozofskog sistema.
ABSTRACT Analyzing the available photometry from the Kepler satellite and other databases, we performed detailed light curve modeling of 10 eclipsing binary systems that were found to exhibit a ...periodic modulation of their orbital periods. All of the selected systems are detached Algol type, with orbital periods from 0.9 to 2.9 days. In total, 9448 times of minimum for these binaries were analyzed in an attempt to identify the period variations caused by the third bodies in these systems. The well-known method of the light-travel time effect was used for the analysis. The orbital periods of the outer bodies were found to be between 1 and 14 years. This hypothesis makes such systems interesting for future prospective detections of these components, despite their low predicted masses. Considering the dynamical interaction between the orbits, the system KIC 3440230 seems to be the most interesting, in which one would expect the detection of some effects (i.e., changing the inclination) even after a few years or decades of observations.
We present results of our spectroscopic observations of nine detached eclipsing binaries (DEBs), selected from the Kepler Eclipsing Binary Catalog, that only show one set of spectral lines. Radial ...velocities (RVs) were calculated from the high-resolution spectra obtained with the HIgh-Dispersion Echelle Spectrograph (HIDES) instrument, attached to the 1.88-m telescope at the Okayama Astrophysical Observatory, and from the public Apache Point Observatory Galactic Evolution Experiment archive. In our sample, we found five single-lined binaries, with one component dominating the spectrum. The orbital and light-curve solutions were found for four of them, and compared with isochrones, in order to estimate absolute physical parameters and evolutionary status of the components. For the fifth case, we only update the orbital parameters, and estimate the properties of the unseen star. Two other systems show orbital motion with a period known from the eclipse timing variations (ETVs). For these we obtained parameters of outer orbits, by translating the ETVs to RVs of the centre of mass of the eclipsing binary, and combining with the RVs of the outer star. Of the two remaining ones, one is most likely a blend of a faint background DEB with a bright foreground star, which lines we see in the spectra, and the last case is possibly a quadruple bearing a sub-stellar mass object. Where possible, we compare our results with literature, especially with results from asteroseismology. We also report possible detections of solar-like oscillations in our RVs.
I report the discovery of non-transiting close companions to two transiting warm Jupiters (WJs), Kepler-448/KOI-12b (orbital period , radius ) and Kepler-693/KOI-824b ( , ), via dynamical modeling of ...their transit timing and duration variations (TTVs and TDVs). The companions have masses of (Kepler-448c) and (Kepler-693c), and both are on eccentric orbits ( for Kepler-448c and for Kepler-693c) with periastron distances of . Moderate eccentricities are detected for the inner orbits as well ( for Kepler-448b and for Kepler-693b). In the Kepler-693 system, a large mutual inclination between the inner and outer orbits ( or ) is also revealed by the TDVs. This is likely to induce a secular oscillation in the eccentricity of the inner WJ that brings its periastron close enough to the host star for tidal star-planet interactions to be significant. In the Kepler-448 system, the mutual inclination is weakly constrained, and such an eccentricity oscillation is possible for a fraction of the solutions. Thus these WJs may be undergoing tidal migration to become hot Jupiters (HJs), although the migration via this process from beyond the snow line is disfavored by the close-in and massive nature of the companions. This may indicate that WJs can be formed in situ and could even evolve into HJs via high-eccentricity migration inside the snow line.
ABSTRACT
We report the results of the photodynamical analyses of four compact, tight triple stellar systems, KICs 6964043, 5653126, 5731312, and 8023317, based largely on Kepler and TESS data. All ...systems display remarkable eclipse timing and eclipse depth variations, the latter implying a non-aligned outer orbit. Moreover, KIC 6964043 is also a triply eclipsing system. We combined photometry, ETV curves, and archival spectral energy distribution data to obtain the astrophysical parameters of the constituent stars and the orbital elements with substantial precision. KICs 6964043 and 5653126 were found to be nearly flat with mutual inclinations imut = 4${_{.}^{\circ}}$1 and 12${_{.}^{\circ}}$3, respectively, while KICs 5731312 and 8023317 (imut = 39${_{.}^{\circ}}$4 and 55${_{.}^{\circ}}$7, respectively) are found to lie in the high imut regime of the von Zeipel-Kozai-Lidov (ZKL) theorem. We show that, currently, both high inclination triples exhibit observable unusual retrograde apsidal motion. Moreover, the eclipses will disappear in all but one of the four systems within a few decades. Short-term numerical integrations of the dynamical evolution reveal that both high inclination triples are currently subject to ongoing, large amplitude (Δe ∼ 0.3) inner eccentricity variations on centuries-long time-scales, in accord with the ZKL theorem. Longer-term integrations predict that two of the four systems may become dynamically unstable on ∼ Gyr time-scales, while in the other two triples common envelope phases and stellar mergers may occur. Finally, we investigate the dynamical properties of a sample of 71 KIC/TIC triples statistically, and find that the mutual inclinations and outer mass ratios are anticorrelated at the 4σ level. We discuss the implications for the formation mechanisms of compact triples.
