This article inquires into what sort of socioemotional education and conviviality are produced when pleasurable literary reading is encouraged in neoliberal cultures. We critically explore the ...celebration of reading for socioemotional education as it is produced in official government documents distributed to schools in Chile. Assisted by Sara Ahmed's conceptualisation of the cultural politics of emotions and Chantal Mouffe's agonistic theory, we highlight how literary reading is promoted as a tool to manage difference and resolve conflict. We relate the hopes set on reading to a celebratory cult of happiness in which structural injustices are erased.
O livro ilustrado é um dos principais formatos contemporâneos de livros literários para a infância, pois é projetado para valorizar as relações entre texto, imagem e suporte para a articulação da ...narrativa. Isso tem tornado o livro ilustrado contemporâneo uma importante ferramenta educacional na formação de leitores e motivado inúmeras pesquisas nas áreas de Educação, Letras e Artes, entre outras. Sabe-se que a qualidade de um livro ilustrado também se deve a seu projeto gráfico. Sendo assim, este artigo tem como objetivo investigar aplicações do design gráfico no projeto de livros ilustrados. A pesquisa se dá por meio de levantamento bibliográfico e, a partir da investigação das características do livro ilustrado contemporâneo, traça paralelos com conhecimentos do design gráfico, exemplificando a discussão. Desse modo, a pesquisa aponta contribuições transdisciplinares entre as áreas de Design e Literatura Infantil. Os principais resultados são pontuados em relação ao design de livros infantis, abrangendo aspectos da (i) materialidade, (ii) diagramação, (iii) tipografia, (iv) qualidades estilísticas dos textos e das (v) ilustrações, (vi) acabamentos gráficos e, por fim, (vii) elementos paratextuais. Den samtida bilderboken visar prov på komplexa litterära drag i såväl formspråk som tematik. Trots ett ökat intresse för komplex litteratur i litteraturundervisningen är bilderboken i de högre ...årskurserna relativt outforskad. I denna artikel utforskar vi bilderboken som komplex litteratur då vi undersöker hur elever i årskurs åtta förhandlar med obestämbarheter i bilderboken Hemma hos Harald Henriksson (Brandelius & Dackenberg, 2018). Med utgångspunkt i angreppssättet tänka med teori (eng. thinking with theory) (Jackson & Mazzei, 2012) kopplar vi in begreppen obestämbarhet (Johansen, 2018, 2019) och förhandling (Derrida, 2002) i det empiriska materialet. Det empiriska materialet består av videoinspelningar av en grupp elever i årskurs åtta och deras arbete med bilderboken. Materialet analyseras med fokus på hur ungdomarna förhandlar med de för dem obestämbara dragen i bilderboken. Resultaten visar hur ungdomarna möter obestämbara drag i bilderboken, främst sådana gällande politiska och sociala frågor, och hur dessa obestämbara drag möjliggör förhandling kring olika tolkningar. I förhandlingarna rör sig eleverna mellan olika positioner, utan att nödvändigtvis stanna i en position. Studien visar hur obestämbarheter i den litterära texten är en central del av en litteraturundervisning som betonar förhandling och obestämbarhet. Studien bidrar till den tidigare forskning som argumenterar för vikten av att inkludera komplexa texter i litteraturundervisningen genom att synliggöra bilderbokens potential i mötet med ungdomar och visa värdet i att upprätthålla sig i obestämbarheter. I möten med komplexa litterära texter ges utrymme till tolkningsförhandlingar, utrymme att pröva sig fram, att skifta positioner – att möta det obestämbara.
The purpose of this article is (1) to determine the set of literary and aesthetic competencies when reading literature and (2) to quantify the possible effect for the formation of Literary and ...Aesthetic competence when using innovative information technologies. The establishment of the array of literary and aesthetic competencies was achieved through the synthesis of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (2018) and a comprehensive analysis of relevant scholarly literature. The researchers determined the substantial effect of mobile applications in building three out of five aesthetic competencies (D = 1.12 for expressive perception, D = 1.55 for emotional closeness and D = 0.82 for cognitive elaboration). Hence, based on the research outcomes, the approach adopted by the experimental group (utilisation of mobile applications for reading) facilitates the attainment of heightened literary competence through a more aesthetically comprehensive experiential engagement with the study of literary works.
Educators read narrative fiction with children not only to promote their literacy skills, but also to support their sociomoral development. However, different approaches strongly diverge in their ...explanations and recommended instructional activities. Informed by theoretical understandings of reader-text transactions, this integrative review presents three different conceptions about how children learn socially from narrative fiction. The first approach explains sociomoral learning through narrative fiction by children’s extraction and internalization of the text’s moral message. The second approach refers to children’s training of mindreading and empathy as they become immersed in a fictional social world and imaginatively engage with the fictional characters’ perspectives. The third approach focuses on children’s social reasoning development through engagement in argumentative dialogues with peers about the complex sociomoral issues raised in narrative fiction. The article aims to theoretically position a wide range of literary programs to clarify their psychological foundations as well as critically discuss their strengths and limitations.

Considerando la tradición cultural y literaria que contextualiza los personajes del dragón como bestia maléfica y el caballero como figura heroica, y teniendo en cuenta las características del álbum ...ilustrado actual, el presente trabajo pretende analizar, mediante un estudio cualitativo y contrastivo, una selección de treinta títulos representativos a partir de un corpus basado en criterios tematológicos y formales; con el objetivo de observar cómo se representan estos personajes de la tradición medieval y legendaria en los libros ilustrados y qué implicaciones supone en la función de la literatura destinada a la infancia como conservadora del patrimonio literario. Se estudia la configuración narrativa y las relaciones intertextuales de unas obras que preservan y al mismo tiempo actualizan el patrimonio literario a favor de procesos de lectura e interpretación propios de la postmodernidad. Se concluye que los álbumes ilustrados analizados presentan diversas reescrituras de las figuras más icónicas de la literatura medieval, basadas en la oposición inicial entre nociones del mundo adulto o convencional (tópicos y motivos literarios) y el universo infantil, en significativos juegos paródicos con la tradición, y se reivindican este tipo de lecturas en el marco de la educación literaria.
L’articolo propone una riflessione sul profondo processo di mutazione avvenuto nella didattica universitaria della letteratura negli ultimi anni, interessata da un ricorso massiccio alla didattica ...digitale e da remoto (Giusti 2019). Si è osservato in particolare un’accelerazione marcata di tale processo di mutazione dovuta al diffondersi della pandemia da Covid-19. L’analisi, divisa in due sezioni, servendosi di una prospettiva sia psico-pedagogica, sia di uno sguardo didattico, vedrà nella prima parte una riflessione sulle nuove forme di insegnamento letterario universitario, con particolare riferimento al rapporto tra il mutato status culturale della letteratura, didattica da remoto e nativi digitali (Bertoni 2018); tenendo conto del contesto di una società post-moderna (Marone e Striano 2012). Nella seconda parte si analizzerà il case study di un corso universitario di letteratura inglese svolto attraverso lo strumento del questionario validato. L’efficacia della didattica da remoto verrà testata sulle risposte di un campione rappresentativo di studenti in età compresa tra i 20 e i 23 anni frequentanti il secondo anno di un corso di laurea di base in lingue. Sulla base dei dati raccolti si vaglieranno delle ipotesi di sviluppo per nuove prospettive epistemiche per la didattica delle discipline letterarie, con particolare riferimento alle letterature straniere e anglofone.
Este trabajo presenta una investigación en torno al proceso de recepción de Pinocho el astuto, de Gianni Rodari. A través de una metodología mixta, de corte cualitativo y cuantitativo, se analizan ...las respuestas lectoras de un grupo de mediadores en formación (n=61). Los resultados muestran la copresencia de aquellos Pinocho(s) que integran el intertexto lector de los participantes y cuáles ejercen de hipotextos, si bien resultan hipertextos. Las conclusiones se orientan hacia aquellas líneas de actuación que resultan fundamentales para plantear la formación lectora específica de la figura del mediador-lector-receptor como agente clave que otorga significado al texto en un proceso activo de recepción.
