This research aims to describe the structure of the kanji continuum within I Meito Kouryuu no Tanoshimi magazine Volume 17. The data source used in this research is I Meito Kouryuu no ...Tanoshimi Magazine Volume 17 and data form are kanji continuum or kanji sequence. The data is obtained by data recording technique, and the data are classified based on the number of constituent elements in every data, which is 3 and 4 constituent elements. Based on the results of this research, it shows that the kanji continuum is consists of six to nine kanjis, has three or four constituent elements, the three-forming constituent element category is composed of six to seven kanjis, the four-forming constituent element is composed of eight to nine kanjis, it is structured in a head-modifier relationship and the meaning is lexical, and the structure and relation of meaning becomes more complex as the number of letters on the kanji continuum increases.

Recipe use impacts eating habits, yet there is limited research investigating the nutritional quality of recipes. Supermarket recipe magazines command large readerships, with over 4 million readers ...for each of the two major Australian supermarket publications. Assessing the nutrient content of featured recipes is therefore of public health interest. The nutrient content of 312 main-meal recipes from Coles® Magazine and Woolworths Fresh® were analyzed and compared against a traffic-light system for classifying nutrients of concern in chronic disease. Nutrient content was compared across recipe type (standard, advertorial and celebrity) and between recipes with and without health or nutrient claims. Overall compliance with the traffic-light criteria was low, with less than half of recipes meeting the target. Advertorial recipes had a higher energy (p = 0.001), saturated fat (p = 0.045) and sodium (p ≤ 0.001) content per serve, and per 100 g for sodium (p ≤ 0.001) compared to standard and celebrity recipes. Recipes with claims had greater compliance to the nutrient criteria (p < 0.001) compared to those without. These findings support previous research highlighting the poor nutritional quality of published recipes from a variety of sources.

The spread of the Internet has radically affected the world of media. As the main source of information in the 21st century, it inevitably became the new home of the media. This transition was not ...just a copy-paste of existing content: instead, the media had to change their content during this transformation. This analysis will identify these changes and observe what is being offered to audiences by online magazines. It will explore how the content of online magazines differs from what was offered to an audience in the 20th century. The object of analysis is the Kosovarja magazine, which has been published since 1971. This magazine is now only available online and the package of the Python programming language was used to extract the data necessary for this activity. In addition, the magazine Hylli i Dritës is used as a case study to explore the reasons why some magazines have not managed to be reproduced in the online market. In order to understand the audience’s perception of these changes, a public opinion survey of 1,051 respondents was conducted for this study.

Analizės objektas – žurnalas „Kosovarja“, leidžiamas nuo 1971 m. Šis žurnalas dabar prieinamas tik internete, o šiai veiklai reikalingiems duomenims išgauti buvo naudojamas Python programavimo kalbos paketas. Be to, žurnalas „Hylli i Dritës“ naudojamas kaip atvejo analizė siekiant išsiaiškinti priežastis, kodėl kai kurių žurnalų nepavyko pradėti leisti internete. Siekiant suprasti, kaip auditorija suvokia šiuos pokyčius, šiam tyrimui buvo atlikta visuomenės nuomonės apklausa, kurioje dalyvavo 1 051 respondentas.
This essay considers the curious case of Dečije novine (Children’s Papers), an initiative which started as a simple school magazine established by the teachers of the elementary school in Gornji ...Milanovac, a small town in Central Serbia, way back in 1956. Dečije novine published works by local children and gained popularity by accepting submissions from all over Yugoslavia, quickly starting to published young cartoonists developing a simple style aimed at children. This text looks at this shift from a school magazine, supplied by children’s submissions, to what would become one of the largest comics publishers in Eastern Europe, considering the specific involvement of reading and drawing audiences in its development.
The importance of the Belgian contribution to the history of the photonovel. The Belgian photonovel is the missing link in the amazing history of the photonovel, a comics-inspired form of visual ...narrative that combines elements from very different genres and media, ranging from literary melodrama, cinema, and of course comics. This monograph discloses the specific Belgian contribution to the genre, in close connection with the singularities of the Belgian women’s and general magazines where these photonovels appeared. If the photonovel is generally considered a typically French or Italian genre, this study demonstrates the importance of a different tradition, which appropriated the foreign models in a very original way. Belgian photonovels are distinct, not only because they tell other kinds of stories, but also because they interact with other types of magazines in ways that are very different from the mainstream forms of the genre in Italy and France. Finally, this lavishly illustrated study is also the first in scrutinizing the technical aspects of magazine printing techniques in the development of the photonovel. Ebook available in Open Access. This article asks a relatively naïve question: how can we build a coherent corpus of video game critics to analyze their formal components? We first present some journalistic texts related to Super ...Castlevania IV (in printed specialized press and websites). The variety of texts we encountered on this game showcases the identification problem relative to video game criticism. To help us circumscribe video game criticism (in regard to the other journalistic texts), we did a review of academic texts. More specifically, we selected articles and books that study video game reviews, tests, or critics. After this review, we suggest a model which could help us define the frontiers of critics.

This research studies about the jargon used in “PCWorld” magazine. The research questions of this study are: 1) How are morphological processes used in creating jargons in the “PC World” magazine in ...January 2015 edition? 2) What are contextual meanings of jargons used in the “PC World” magazine in January 2015 edition? The aims of the study are to analyze the morphological process in creating computer jargon, to explain the contextual meaning of each jargon used in “PC World” magazine. In this research, the writer used descriptive qualitative research that made use of documentation to analyze the written jargons. The result of the study shows that: (1) The morphological process in creating computer jargon used in “PC World” magazine are acronym is a word formed from the initial letters of a name or combining initial letters of a series of words. It has 3 morphemes (13 jargons), clipping is a process of new words by shortening the polysyllabic word or by deleting one or more syllables (1 Jargon), multiple process is a process of a word formation when a word is formed through more than one process (1 jargon). compounding is a process of a word formation in which it is done by combining two words (15 jargons) and backformation is a process that creates a new word by removing a real or supposed affix from another word in the language (10 jargons). (2) Reveal with the lexical and contextual meaning, the writer found that (21) of jargons in the contextual meaning is higher than (4) jargons of the lexical meaning, the contextual meaning of jargons is more than with the lexical meaning and (15) words of jargon do not have any the lexical meaning.
