The traditional tourism industry is facing severe challenges and it urgently needs digital technology to improve the quality of service experience and storage security. Blockchain, as an emerging ...technology, brings new opportunities to the tourism industry as it provides a trusted platform for travel companies and tourists. This paper aims to address the challenges and for a real-world prototype development, it has proposed Gemiverse, a blockchain-based professional certification and travel platform that offers specialized solutions to meet challenges and focuses on building immersive experiences. Finally, three development stages of Gemiverse and conduct scene application tests is proposed.
The present research examines the enterprise metaverse adoption intention behaviour using the Diffusion of Innovation theory (DOI) theory. The findings of this research reveal that dimensions of DOI ...theory are substantially associated with the enterprise metaverse usage intention. Further, digital agility significantly mediates the relationship between antecedents and the intention to use. Further, the mediating impact of digital agility on the relationship among compatibility, complexity, observability and intention is moderated by government policy effectiveness. The conclusions of the research will give valuable insights into the existing metaverse literature, offering a more profound understanding from the perspective of individuals grounded in the principles of DOI. Additionally, the study aids organizations in comprehending the essential factors persuading the intention of employees to use the enterprise metaverse.
The Scientific and Technical Revolution 5.0 and WEB 3.0 technologies create conditions for the renovation of various forms of social relations with the use of virtual and augmented reality ...technologies in the metaverse. According to the proposed theory, the legal regulation of social relations in the metaverse requires the development of a comprehensive electronic jurisdiction based on the latest basic legislation. The formation of legal regulation of the metaverse is a prerequisite for the need to form an electronic jurisdiction of the metaverse, which will include sectoral Metaverse Codes. The metaverse, as the electronic society of the future, does not yet have clear legal boundaries, and the task of scholars is to predict and outline with sufficient certainty the future contours of legal authority for virtual environments. Today, discussions in the scientific community about the feasibility and necessity of legal regulation of the metaverse often revolve around several key issues. First, there is the question of what legal framework should be applied in the metaverse and how conflicts between different legal systems should be resolved. Second, there is a debate about whether current regulatory bodies in the physical world have the capacity to effectively regulate the metaverse through existing laws and regulations. Third, there is the question of how to deal with offences committed in the virtual environment, and whether they should be dealt with under existing tort or criminal law, or whether a separate cross-border electronic jurisdiction should be created. The regulation of social relations in the metaverse should focus on one central goal: to clearly define the status of electronic entities, subjects and objects, to establish their rights, duties and responsibilities, and to define the different types of relations between virtual entities, subjects and objects within a given metaverse, as well as between different metaverses within an electronic jurisdiction and in a cross-border context. An essential component of the Metaverse Electronic Jurisdiction is a Metaverse Model Criminal Code that will outline the norms and offences applicable to analogue, hybrid and electronic jurisdictions. This code will define the types of socially harmful acts or crimes and the corresponding criminal penalties that will be applied within the metaverse. The formation of the electronic jurisdiction of the metaverse and the development of a Metaverse Model Criminal Code is a current scientific and legal issue.
This study examined the possibility of applying the Metaverse concept to the library, and to this end, we investigated representative Metaverse implementation cases and library implementation cases, ...analyzed them comprehensively, and discussed the service direction to be pursued when Metaverse libraries are implemented. The results of the study found that: first, there were not many cases of research or construction on Metaverse libraries; and second, users have high expectations for Metaverse libraries. Users expect that when Metaverse libraries are established, there will be more services and programs available, and that cooperation and communication with the library will be smooth. Therefore, it is necessary to effectively utilize and supplement each of the advantages and disadvantages in connection with the current physical library.
Concern over the rapidly evolving metaverse is growing, leading to the development of the "metaverse worry". Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop an appropriate psychometric instrument ...to measure metaverse worry. The Metaverse Worry Inventory (MWI) was developed through two studies (N = 672). In Study 1, rigorous processes including item analysis, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis revealed two reliable factors for the 10-item inventory: negative belief and negative feeling. The MWI had excellent internal consistency (Cronbach’s α = 0.89) and medium test-retest reliability (

= 0.62). In study 2, good criterion-related validity of the MWI was confirmed by examining the MWI's relationship with intolerance of uncertainty and Big Five personality. The MWI captured the latent variables of metaverse worry and is essential for promoting metaverse development and alleviating worries.
The revolutionary changes in digital healthcare have emerged as a pivotal force driving transformation in the healthcare industry. The metaverse for consumer health utilizes technologies such as ...virtual reality, digital twins, and big data analysis to facilitate intelligent healthcare image analysis, remote medical consultations, and other services, propelling advancements in healthcare systems. The introduction of federated learning ensures the privacy of metaverse users. However, due to data heterogeneity, consumers exhibit distinct data distributions, impacting the quality of healthcare services. Furthermore, malicious users' attacks on the model lead to inadequate diagnoses. All these challenges may overwhelm traditional methods. To resolve these challenges, we propose FedKC, a personalized federated learning algorithm with robustness against model poisoning attacks in the Consumer Health Metaverse. Furthermore, new users joining the metaverse can quickly receive customized medical services through FedKC. Extensive experiments across multiple datasets demonstrate that FedKC outperforms current algorithms in thwarting harmful attacks and enhancing client personalization capabilities.
Generative artificial intelligence (GAI) is emerging as a promising solution for the vehicular metaverse due to its adaptable, high-quality, and multi-modal content generation capabilities. ...Particularly noteworthy is the recent introduction of the Sora model, a Transformer-based diffusion model, which exhibits exceptional performance in visual scenarios. However, diffusion vision transformer (DViT) models face limitations in terms of device resources, inference latency, and personalized requirements at the edge, despite their practical effectiveness in clouds. In response, we propose a DViT-enabled system to enhance vehicular metaverse services. Our approach involves a distributed DViT inference mechanism where road-side units (RSUs) and vehicles collaborate to execute the diffusion process and generate personalized content within vehicles using local prompts. Additionally, we address users' latency-sensitive service demands by formulating a distributed latency optimization problem that considers bandwidth, computation power, and dynamic positioning of heterogeneous devices. We then propose a value iteration-based distributed inference algorithm capable of adaptively determining optimal inference strategies within resource-constrained vehicular networks. Numerical simulations demonstrate that our approach achieves superior performance in reducing latency and enhancing success rates for inference tasks.
The phenomenon of distance learning patterns during the pandemic has become an extraordinary leap and has significantly impacted the massive use of the internet in society. The digital era is an era ...where many human life activities are carried out online by minimizing social interaction, such as school with online learning, working in the office to working from home, organizational meetings via online meeting platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet, health consultations answered directly by doctors, as well as other activities that were rarely carried out before Covid-19. This research aims to determine children's learning patterns and behavior in the metaverse era. Meanwhile, the research method used is quantitative, with several approaches such as correlation between variables and the close relationship between one variable and another. The three groups of respondents in the study were early adults (>20 years), early adolescents (15-20) years and children (10-15 years). The research results show that at the age of children, smartphone use and online activities are only limited to playing games and social media. Meanwhile, in their early teens, some are even starting to learn game-making through online platforms such as Roblox Studio. In early adulthood, which is the age of college education, smartphone use is not just about social media or online shopping; some even have digital wallets and crypto wallets, invest in cryptocurrency, and even actively use the creator's platform games and NFTs with payments via cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, polygon, etc.
