Delegace Národní skupštiny Království Srbů, Chorvatů a Slovinců navštívila v říjnu 1922 Československo. Jugoslávští poslanci si prohlédli Prahu (Národní shromáždění, Senát, Pražský hrad) a Hradec ...Králové. V říjnu 1926 uskutečnila československá delegace sedmdesáti poslanců Národního shromáždění přátelskou návštěvu Jugoslávie. V Subotici byli přivítáni na nádraží. V Novém Vrbasu je pozdravila jugoslávská vojenská letka. V Bělehradu navštívila delegace jugoslávský parlament, položila věnce u hrobu neznámého Junáka na vrchu Avala, shlédla sokolské cvičení a ukázku obrany Bělehradu.
Delegation of the National Group of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croatians and Slovenians visited Czechoslovakia in October of 1922. Yugoslavian deputies had a tour of Prague (The National Assembly, the Senate, and Prague Castle) and of the town of Hradec Králové. In October of 1926 a group of seventy Czechoslovak deputies of the National Assembly paid a friendly visit to Yugoslavia. They were welcomed at the Subotice railway station. In the town of Nový Vrbas they were greeted by the Yugoslavian military squadron. In Beograd the delegation visited Yugoslavian Parliament, they laid wreath at the Grave of Unknown Hero on the Avala Hill, and they attended Sokol festival and watched a defence demonstration in Beograd. Following a warm welcome they received at the Mladenovec railway station, our delegation worshipped the memory of Peter the Great Liberator in the town of Topol. In Čuprij they met representatives of the Czech minority. In Paračino the Czech and Slovak politicians were welcomed by the Mayor of the Town, Popovič. In the town of Skopje the deputies visited the 21st Czechoslovak regiment in Serbia. Its Commander Stojanovič handed over to them a wreath for the Czechoslovak grave of the Unknown Soldier. Then they took part in a military show. Their another stop on the tour of Yugoslavia was made in the town of Zagreb, where the deputies were accommodated in the Esplanade Hotel. In the town of Split they were dancing a circle dance in front of the local town hall. The last stop made by the deputies on their long journey was Lubljana. Our delegation received a warm welcome everywhere and they were greeted by people as representatives of a comradely Slavonic nation.

We performed a systematic study to check whether neurons in the area TE (the anterior part of inferotemporal cortex) in rhesus ...monkey, regarded as the last stage of the ventral visual pathway, could be modulated by auditory stimuli. Two fixating rhesus monkeys were presented with visual, auditory or combined audiovisual stimuli while neuronal responses were recorded. We have found that the visually sensitive neurons are also modulated by audiovisual stimuli. This modulation is manifested as the change of response rate. Our results have shown also that the visual neurons were responsive to the sole auditory stimuli. Therefore, the concept of inferotemporal cortex unimodality in information processing should be re-evaluated.

...Interspecies differences in glycosidation potential in mammalian tissues represent a factor contributing to ambiguity when endobiotic and/or xenobiotic metabolic pathways are extrapolated from animals to man. Using the TLC/autoradiographic technique, we conducted an in vitro investigation involving mouse, rat, monkey, as well as human liver and kidney microsomes to evaluate their glycoconjugation potential towards 3H-labeled, purine-derived selective inhibitors of cyclin-dependent kinases such as olomoucine, bohemine, roscovitine, 6-(2-hydroxybenzyl)amino-2-(1-hydroxymethyl-2-methylpropyl)amino-9-isopropylpurine (compound A-4), and 6-(3-hydroxybenzyl)amino-2-(1(R/S)-hydroxymethyl)propylamino-9-isopropylpurine (compound A-5) as aglycones. Principally, this study confirmed the aliphatic hydroxyl group of olomoucine-type inhibitors as a relatively suitable target for glucuronide, glucoside, xyloside, galactoside, and/or N-acetylaminoglucoside conjugation. Of the tissues examined, only the mouse microsomes were able to perform glucosidation and galactosidation reactions with the aglycones. On the other hand, monkey microsomes were superior to the mouse microsomes in a variety of glucuronide conjugates produced with compounds A-4 and A-5.
