INTRODUCTION. This paper addresses the use of questionnaires in research on universities from a critical and methodological perspective. METHOD. After a discussion of the main concepts from the ...literature, four studies that used questionnaires are presented: a) international research, b) a quasi-experimental study, c) a study of a sensitive topic, and d) a study based on an online questionnaire. The studies are analyzed in relation to the methodological approach, the aims of the instrument in each case, the digital or printed format of the questionnaire, and the advantages, limitations and difficulties encountered in the research task. RESULTS and DISCUSSION. The main conclusions refer to the ambiguity of concepts and methodological approaches, the importance of interpreting data in the production context, the collaboration of respondents and bias in survey construction and data analysis.

The statistical population of the study consists of experts in the field of banking, including 15 people selected for the interview and 218 who were selected to complete the questionnaire. The collection of information has been the checklist in the meta-analysis section, the interview and the questionnaire carried out by the researcher in the section related to the examination of the opinions of the experts. The validity of the questionnaire was determined at 0.95.
Validar el cuestionario "Etapa de cambio del comportamiento de escolares en hábitos alimentarios y actividad física" (CEHAF), el cual está basado en el modelo transteórico, y pretende ser una ...herramienta útil para desarrollar estrategias para combatir la obesidad infantil. Dicha herramienta mide conocimientos, actitudes y hábitos sobre nutrición y actividad física. Estudio observacional, transversal y aleatorizado en una muestra de 1671 estudiantes mexicanos, de 8 a 12 años de edad, ambos sexos. El cuestionario CEHAF es autoadministrado y se conforma por 35 preguntas, incluyendo 18 de opción multiple, sobre hábitos de alimentación y actividad física. Resultados: El análisis de confiabilidad mediante alfa de Cronbach resultó en un coeficiente alfa de 0.845. El análisis factorial exploratorio reveló tres factores teóricamente congruentes. La versión final del cuestionario CEHAF estuvo compuesta de 14 items. Las características psicométricas del cuestionario CEHAF lo vuelven una herramienta válida y confiable para evaluar la etapa de cambio en estudiantes de escuela primaria. Palabras clave Obesidad infantil; Validación de escalas; Modelo Transteórico. To validate the questionnaire "Stage of Change in Behavior of Scholars in Eating Habits and Physical Activity" (CEHAF). It is based on the Transtheoretical Model, and it intends to be a useful tool for developing strategies against childhood obesity. It measures knowledge, attitudes, and habits towards nutrition and physical activity. Observational, cross-sectional, randomized, and multi-center study in a sample of 1671 Mexican school-age children, from 8 to 12 years old, both genders. The CEHAF questionnaire is self-administered and consists of 35 questions, including 18 multiple choices, on habits and attitudes towards alimentation and physical activity. Reliability analysis through Cronbach's alpha resulted in an alpha coefficient of 0.845. The exploratory factor analysis revealed three theoretically-congruent factors. The final version of the CEHAF questionnaire was conformed of 14 items. The psychometric characteristics of the CEHAF questionnaire indicate that it is a valid and reliable tool for assessing the stage of change in school-age population. For theresearch purposes the questionnaire is used as a research instrument. The questionnaire development process iscarried out in accordance with literature recommendations,theoretical backgrounds and previous research findings inthe field. The study results have shown that organisations from the research population do not implement, neither dothey recognise higher LEAN concepts. Thus, it could be said that there is a lack of awareness about mentionedresearch concepts among organisations from the research population. IntroductionAmidst the widespread proliferation of the COVID-19 virus, brain fog has become one of the most critical issues of public health. Brain fog may lead to sub-health conditions, such as ...forgetfulness, difficulty thinking, and other related symptoms. Although they are not immediately life-threatening, these sub-health conditions could gradually erode the quality of life. Currently, there is no relevant screening tool for brain fog.ObjectivesThe aim of this study was to develop a reliable screening tool.MethodsA web-based brain fog screening questionnaire was developed in the study. It was based on previous studies, which summarized five parts of the most common clinical symptoms after COVID-19: forgetfulness, difficulty thinking, difficulty concentrating, feeling confused, and difficulty finding words or phrases to speak. Unfortunately, these items were used only in a way of yes or no answers in previous studies. Each of these items was expanded to five anchors to evaluate their severity in the study. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was used to assess internal consistency. K-means clustering was used as a second method to validate the cutoff points. Furthermore, the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was applied to validate the appropriateness of the cutoff point.ResultsThere were 534 participants who completely finished the questionnaire. It includes 183 males and 351 females, and all of them aged between 19 and 81 years. The Cronbach’s Alpha value was 0.821. The cutoff point was at a total score of 6 in terms of K-means. Based on the result, the ROC curve revealed that an area under the curve (AUC) was 0.816 with a confidence interval of 0.784 to 0.849.ConclusionsThe study demonstrated the feasibility and reliability of the web-based screening test for brain fog.Disclosure of InterestNone Declared

IntroductionHumanitarian workers (HWs) face significant challenges while providing aid to those in need, often leading to psychological exhaustion and the risk of primary or secondary ...trauma.ObjectivesOur study aimed to validate and adapt the Greek version of the Brief Resilient Coping Scale (BRCS) for HWs in Greece.MethodsWe conducted a cross-sectional study between September and December 2022. Participants were recruited through a self-administered questionnaire distributed via social media to humanitarian groups. Additionally, the questionnaire was sent via email to these groups’ members, who then forwarded it to their respective networks. The questionnaire included the BRCS, a 4-item measure designed to capture tendencies to cope with stress in a highly adaptive manner. A score of 4-13 points indicates low resilient copers, 14-16 points medium resilient copers and 17-20 points high resilient copers. Cronbach’s alpha was used to assess internal consistency. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was employed to evaluate model fit. Adequate or good fit criteria included a χ2 test p-value ≥ 0.05, Root Mean Square Error Approximation (RMSEA) ≤ 0.08, Standardized Root Mean Squared Residual (SRMR) ≤ 0.05, and a Comparative Fit Index (CFI) or Tucker–Lewis Index (TLI) ≤ 0.90. Statistical analyses were performed using STATA and SPSS software.ResultsA total of 151 humanitarian workers (76% females), with a mean age of 39.3±10.6 years participated in the study. The mean BRCS score was 65.6/100. Participants were categorized as follows: 34.6% as low resilient copers, 38.6% as medium resilient copers, and 26.8% as high resilient copers. Cronbach’s alpha for the BRCS was 0.84, indicating good internal consistency. CFA results supported the one-factor solution proposed by the original researchers, with acceptable global fit indices: Chi-square p-value = 0.303, SRMR = 0.028, RMSEA = 0.036, CFI = 0.991, TLI = 0.974.ConclusionsThe findings of our study show that the Greek version of BRCS is a valid and reliable tool that can be used to evaluate resilient coping among humanitarian workers in Greece.Disclosure of InterestNone Declared
