Multidisciplinary collaboration provides opportunities for growth in any simulation program. Simulation coordinators pursuing excellence may find unlikely partners among health care and non–health ...care professionals. Non-nursing collaborations can offer students, faculty, and simulation coordinators fresh views about simulation in an interdisciplinary climate. Examples of cooperative work with instructors and researchers in radiology, sports medicine, and criminal justice studies are described. Sports medicine students participated in scenarios involving a school-aged child with a spontaneous pneumothorax, a coach who was having a stroke, a pregnant yoga instructor experiencing an asthma attack, and a football player who had been momentarily unconscious after a tackle. Nursing students were asked to participate in criminal justice scenarios because of their understanding of simulation principles.
Objectives
To compare image quality in coronary artery computed tomography angiography (cCTA) using reconstructions with automated phase detection and Reconstructions computed with Identical Filling ...of the heart (RIF).
Methods
Seventy-four patients underwent ECG-gated dual source CT (DSCT) between November 2009 and July 2010 for suspected coronary heart disease (
n
= 35), planning of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (
n
= 34) or evaluation of ventricular function (
n
= 5). Image data sets by the RIF formula and automated phase detection were computed and evalutated with the AHA 15-segment model and a 5-grade Likert scale (1: poor, 5: excellent quality). Subgroups regarding rhythm (sinus rhythm = SR; arrhythmia = ARR) and potential premedication were evaluated by a per-segment, per-vessel and per-patient analysis.
Results
RIF significantly improved image quality in 10 of 15 coronary segments (

< 0.05). More diagnostic segments were provided by RIF regarding the entire cohort (
n
= 693 vs. 590,

< 0.001) and all of the subgroups (e.g. ARR:
n
= 143 vs. 72,

< 0.001). In arrhythmic patients (
n
= 19), more diagnostic vessels (e.g. LAD:
n
= 10 vs. 3;
P
< 0.014) and complete data sets (
n
= 7 vs. 1;
P
< 0.001) were produced.
Conclusions
RIF reconstruction is superior to automatic diastolic non-edited reconstructions, especially in arrhythmic patients. RIF theory provides a physiological approach for determining the optimal image reconstruction point in ECG-gated CT angiography.

Ältere Patienten (>75 Jahre) sind oft durch physiologische Veränderungen, die meist von multiplen und komplexen chronischen bzw. degenerativen Erkrankungen des Bewegungsapparats ...begleitet werden, beeinträchtigt. Die Aufarbeitung der klinischen Symptomatik in dieser Altersgruppe mit modernen zeitgemäßen radiologischen Untersuchungsmöglichkeiten wurde anhand des Einsatzes von State-of-the-Art-Technologie in einem Schwerpunktkrankenhaus mit Betreuung eines geriatrischen Zentrums analysiert. Vor allem Untersuchungen des Bewegungsapparats und interzerebraler Prozesse bei älteren Patienten wurden bei der Analyse berücksichtigt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass sowohl die Patientenanamnese als auch eine angemessene radiologische Untersuchung und interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit für eine umfassende Diagnose unbedingt erforderlich sind.

Prema članku 33. Zakona o radiološkoj i nuklearnoj sigurnosti (NN 141/13, 39/15, 130/17, 118/18) te člancima 14., 15. i 16. Pravilnika o uvjetima i mjerama zaštite od ionizirajućeg zračenja za ...obavljanje djelatnosti s izvorima ionizirajućeg zračenja (NN 53/18), radiološki odjeli u Hrvatskoj koji provode dijagnostičke i intervencijske postupke u medicini upotrebom ionizirajućeg zračenja, obvezni su provoditi program osiguranja i kontrole kvalitete električnih uređaja koji proizvode ionizirajuće zračenje. Parametri koji moraju biti mjereni definirani su u Prilozima 3. do 12. koji su sastavni dio Pravilnika o uvjetima i mjerama zaštite od ionizirajućeg zračenja za obavljanje djelatnosti s izvorima ionizirajućeg zračenja (NN 53/18). U Klinici za infektivne bolesti „Dr. Fran Mihaljević” u Zagrebu dnevne testove provode radiološki tehnolozi, dok složenije procedure mjesečno i godišnje provode medicinski fizičari. Tijekom provođenja testova kontrole kvalitete, upotrebljava se različita oprema za evaluaciju parametara uređaja. U slučaju odstupanja od preporučenih rezultata, moraju se poduzeti korektivne mjere kako bi se ispravila odstupanja. Sve procedure moraju biti pohranjene, a izvješća upućena kompetentnim osobama i institucijama. Cilj je ovog rada prikazati multidisciplinarni pristup u provođenju programa kontrole kvalitete uređaja za kompjutoriziranu tomografiju u Klinici za infektivne bolesti „Dr. Fran Mihaljević” u Zagrebu od ožujka do rujna 2018. godine. Multidisciplinarni tim sastojao se od radioloških tehnologa i radiologa iz Klinike za infektivne bolesti „Dr. Fran Mihaljević” u Zagrebu, studenata radiološke tehnologije Zdravstvenog veleučilišta u Zagrebu i medicinskih fizičara iz Kliničkog bolničkog centra u Rijeci. Fizičari savjetuju radiološke tehnologe o tehničkim poboljšanjima kako bi postigli najbolje rezultate u provođenju svakodnevnih procedura kontrole kvalitete. Svi testirani parametri bili su u granicama prihvatljivosti, osim detekcije prstenastih artefakata. Da bi se otklonili prstenasti artefakti, pročelnica Zavoda za radiologiju i ultrazvuk Klinike i glavni radiološki tehnolog stupili su u kontakt s ovlaštenim servisom za održavanje uređaja. Servisni inženjeri proveli su kalibraciju detektora (s odgovarajućim fantomom) za točnost CT brojeva i uklanjanje prstenastih artefakata na snimkama.
