Questo repertorio fornisce una breve nota introduttiva sulle trasformazioni dei rituali funerari tra età romana e alto medioevo e una descrizione selettiva delle risorse bibliografiche e informatiche.
Prapovijesni arheološki lokalitet Kaptol za sada je najznačajnije željeznodobno nalazište na području sjeverne Hrvatske te je i epomnimni lokalitet istoimene najjužnije skupine halštatskoga kulturnog ...kompleksa. Nekropola na položaju Čemernica istraživana je od 1965. do 1971. godine, kada je istraženo 14 tumula. Nakon toga u tri su navrata provedena kompleksna revizijska istraživanja: 2007. godine bio je istražen tumul XI – najsjeverniji tumul na nekropoli Čemernica, nakon dvije godine tumul III, te 2016. tumul IV. U ovome radu po prvi puta prezentiramo rezultate arheobotaničkih istraživanja halštatskih tumula III i XI na položaju Kaptol – Čemernica. Flotirane su ukupno 674 litre sedimenta iz tumula III i XI te izdvojeno ukupno 16285 karboniziranih biljnih ostataka. U oba tumula apsolutno su najbrojniji nalazi žitarica (preko 90%). Zbog loše očuvanosti materijala, polovica nalaza žitarica determinirana je kao Cerealia (krupnozrne žitarice), među bolje očuvanim nalazima u oba tumula prevladava pšenica (Triticum), a od izdvojenih tipova pšenica najbrojnija je obična ili krušna pšenica (Triticum aestivum). S obzirom na veliku količinu nalaza, prije svega žitarica, može se zaključiti kako je biljna komponenta grobnih rituala u starijem željeznom dobu imala puno veći značaj nego što se to do sada mislilo.
The prehistoric archaeological site of Kaptol is the most significant Iron Age site in northern Croatia discovered to date. It has given its name to the southernmost group within the Hallstatt cultural complex. The necropolis at the location of Čemernica was excavated between 1965 and 1971, with 14 tumuli encompassed by the archaeological investigation. Thereafter, three rounds of complex revision excavations were conducted: in 2007, tumulus XI – the northernmost tumulus in the Čemernica necropolis – was excavated; two years later, tumulus III; and, in 2016, tumulus IV. This is the first presentation of the results of archaeobotanical research of Hallstatt tumuli III and XI at the Kaptol – Čemernica site. In total, 674 litres of sediment from tumuli III and XI were floated, resulting in the recovery of 16.285 carbonized plant remains. The overwhelming majority (more than 90%) of finds from both tumuli are those of cereals. Due to the poor preservation of the plant material, half of the cereals have been identified as Cerealia (large-grained cereals). Wheat (Triticum) is predominant among the better-preserved remains from both tumuli, with common wheat (Triticum aestivum) being the most numerous among the types of wheat identified. In view of the large quantity of plant remains, predominantly cereals, the conclusion can be drawn that the plant component of the Early Iron Age burial ritual was much more important than we thought.
Rabelais, Zola, Camus hanno intuito che le sentenze spesso si reggono su complessi meccanismi psicologici, oltre che sulla razionalità giuridica. Ci si chiede se queste intuizioni trovino conferma ...nelle più recenti acquisizioni della psicologia della decisione e delle scienze cognitive. Per rispondere al quesito si analizzano passi del Gargantua e Pantagruele, di Thérèse Raquin, de Lo straniero, mettendoli a confronto con alcuni esperimenti condotti in ambito psicologico. Si dimostra come Rabelais abbia correttamente intuito quanto rilevino le euristiche nella decisione, come Zola abbia colto il ruolo delle aspettative nella percezione da parte dei testi, come Camus abbia descritto le distorsioni che si possono produrre nella fase narrativa della testimonianza. Se ne conclude che a volte la materia della giustizia si intende meglio esplorando le opere dei grandi autori che non, per dirla con Erasmo, ammucchiando glosse su glosse.
The lunar connotation, considered a ‘vanished’ characteristic of Minerva based on the discoveries of Lavinium, results instead as a distinctive aspect of her cult, that we can recognize in different ...fields : in the Quinquatrus, the main festivity of the goddess ; in the topographical positioning of the most important urban sanctuaries ; in the literary sources ; and, probably, also in the etymology of the theonym itself. Surely a very ancient hallmark, connected to the nature of the goddess since her origins, to her primitive function of supervisor of transitional feminine rites and to the institutional measurement of flowing time.
La connotazione lunare, ritenuta una ‘ sfumata’ caratteristica di Minerva sulla scorta dei ritrovamenti di Lavinium, appare invece come un tratto distintivo del culto, evidenziabile in numerosi ambiti : nelle Quinquatrus, la sua principale festività ; nella collocazione topografica dei maggiori santuari urbani ; in numerose fonti letterarie ; e, dato da comprovare, verosimilmente anche dall’ etimologia del teonimo stesso. Un aspetto decisamente risalente, pertinente alla natura della dea sin dalle origini, connesso alla sua primigenia funzione di divinità del cambiamento di
status femminile e di garante istituzionale dello scorrere del tempo.
La connotation lunaire, considérée comme une caractéristique nuancée de Minerve sur la base des découvertes archéologiques de Lavinium, semble être en fait un trait distinctif de son culte, identifiable dans de nombreux domaines : dans les Quinquatrus, sa principale festivité ; dans la disposition topographique des principaux sanctuaires urbains ; dans de nombreuses sources littéraires ; et même, ce qui reste à prouver, dans l’étymologie du théonyme. Il s’agit d’un aspect ancien, qui relève de la nature de la déesse depuis les origines, lié à sa fonction primitive de divinité du changement du status féminin et de garante institutionnelle du passage du temps.

At the infant-toddler center, the rituals of transition that mark children’s arrival and going home times offer interesting kaleidoscopes for the study of interactive dynamics with the associated ...meanings and implicit educational models. Numerous pedagogical studies have investigated the meanings of these events, for the most part drawing on the monocultural model of classical attachment theory to analyze interactions between adults and children. Far less research has approached these rituals using triadic, systemic and intercultural categories of analysis in order to explore not only educators’ actions but also what is going on in their minds. In this paper, we discuss examples from a recent study on rituals of transition in the multicultural context of an infant toddler center, combining description of the timing, behaviors and interactive styles of children and adults, with analysis of the thoughts and representations of the educators.

Autor u prizoru na reljefu hrvatskoga vladara prepoznaje ranosrednjovjekovni ritual mirenja, dedicij (deditio). U radu se pojašnjava uloga i važnost simboličke komunikacije u političkom životu u ...ranome srednjem vijeku, postupak donošenja političkih odluka i važnost rituala mirenja za očuvanje stabilnosti poretka. Pojašnjava se uloga Henrika II. u mogućoj transmisiji prizora prema Monte Cassinu, a zatim i dalje prema Dalmaciji i to u skladu s promjenama koje je ovaj svetorimski vladar unio u shvaćanje carske vlasti, ali i u sam ritual deditio.
The article aims to analyze the educational function of women in the dionysiac rituals in the Greek and Roman world, concentrating on literary, epigraphic and iconographic sources. Through this ...investigation, the research underlines three different feminine functions inside the dionysiac practices: 1. the role in the institution or reformation of bacchic ceremonies; 2. the leadership of associations in the honour of Dionysus; 3. the transmission of dionysiac rituals and traditions.
This book examines different forms of ritual activities performed in houses of Graeco- Roman Egypt. It draws on the rich archaeological record of rural housing and evidence from literature or ...papyrological references to both urban and rural housing. The introduction critically considers the literature relevant to the topic in order to identify the research gap. Chapter I attempts to reconstruct the structure of urban and rural houses in Graeco- Roman Egypt in the light of papyri and archaeology. This aims to establish the physical and spatial framework for the rituals considered in the following chapters. In line with this reconstruction of domestic properties is the reconstruction of the architectural layout and use of the domestic pylon in Chapter II. Chapter III deals with two rituals enacted before the front door of the house, namely the sacrifice of fish on the 9th of Thoth and the sacrifice of pigs on the 15th of Pachon. Chapter IV considers the ritual of the illumination of lamps for the goddess Athena-Neith within and around houses on the 13th of Epeiph. Chapter V highlights the use of the house as an arena for social types of rituals associated with dining, birthdays, the mallokouria, the epikrisis, and marriage. Chapter VI explores the religious sphere of houses, which is obvious from domestic shrines, wall paintings with religious themes, and figurines of Egyptian and Graeco-Roman deities uncovered from houses. The last chapter deals with mourning rituals, which the house occupants performed after the demise of their beloved animals, such as dogs, and their family members. In the conclusion, I summarize my work and draw out its implications, suggesting that the house was the locus of social, religious, and funerary rituals in Graeco-Roman Egypt.
Questo articolo comprende tre distinte parti: la prima si occupa degli argomenti del morire e della morte nella prospettiva della storiografia contemporanea, soprattutto italiana. La morte è uno dei ...temi essenziali per gli storici in quanto si rivela come uno spazio sperimentale della ricerca, il cui oggetto però non è la morte stessa, ma piuttosto le strategie delle società dei vivi in varie epoche e gruppi sociali.La seconda parte di questo articolo è dedicata all’analisi di alcuni forti cambiamenti nel rapporto tra l’uomo e la morte che si svolsero durante il Settecento. La morte diventò allora un argomento cruciale nella medicina dell’epoca. Alla fine del secolo il morire non fu più un atto eminentemente religioso. Il risultato delle discussioni settecentesche sulla pericolosità dei cadaveri per i viventi fu la nascita del cimitero extraurbano e delle nuove forme commemorative e laiche, orientate verso la memoria familiare e nazionale.L’ultima parte si occupava della morte presso la famiglia principesca degli Schwarzenberg, che avevano un ruolo importante presso la corte asburgica nella prima età moderna. Il rapporto degli Schwarzenberg con il morire e la morte era assai tradizionale, e assai influenzato della famiglia imperiale. Un elaborato rituale della morte e dei luoghi di sepoltura era per gli Schwarzenberg uno strumento per mostrare la propria origine e posizione sociale anche durante l’Ottocento.
