ntroduces a revolutionary, quadratic-programming based approach to solving long-standing problems in motion planning and control of redundant manipulators. This book describes a novel quadratic ...programming approach to solving redundancy resolutions problems with redundant manipulators. Known as “QP-unified motion planning and control of redundant manipulators” theory, it systematically solves difficult optimization problems of inequality-constrained motion planning and control of redundant manipulators that have plagued robotics engineers and systems designers for more than a quarter century.

Designed for students across all of engineering, this text offers the multidisciplinary approach needed to develop a foundation in mechatronics. It covers electrical and mechanical components, ...sensors and instrumentation, drives and actuators, controls, signal processing, component interfacing, modeling, and design. Practical applications and tools introduced up front are uniformly integrated throughout the book. Cases studies and worked examples that make use of MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW application and case studies are included, as are numerous exercises, most based on real engineering practice.
Teknologi robotika berkembang semakin pesat di era Revolusi Industri 4.0. Berbagai macam robot semakin mewarnai kehidupan sehari-hari. Keadaan yang demikian menjadikan pelajar tertarik ...mempelajarinya, sehingga MAN 1 Jombang sebagai salah satu lembaga pendidikan menjadikan robotika sebagai salah satu kegiatan ekstrakurikulernya. Sayangnya, ekstrakurikuler robotika di MAN 1 Jombang semakin sedikit pesertanya.
This book focuses on the general rotordynamics of turbomachinery, including bearing dynamics, rotating shaft vibration, fluid force induced vibrations from seals, active vibration control, and ...rotating structure dynamics due to blades. this book is targeted mainly at students and academic researchers who are more interested in the theoretical and fundamental approaches. Mode synthesis modeling is then introduced for system reduction, which aids the understanding in a simplified manner of how complicated rotors behave. Rotor balancing techniques are offered for rigid and flexible rotors through several examples.
Tracing the connections between human-like robots and AI at the site of dehumanization and exploited labor The word robot—introduced in Karel Čapek’s 1920 play R.U.R. —derives from ...rabota, the Czech word for servitude or forced labor. A century later, the play’s dystopian themes of dehumanization and exploited labor are being played out in factories, workplaces, and battlefields. In The Robotic Imaginary , Jennifer Rhee traces the provocative and productive connections of contemporary robots in technology, film, art, and literature. Centered around the twinned processes of anthropomorphization and dehumanization, she analyzes the coevolution of cultural and technological robots and artificial intelligence, arguing that it is through the conceptualization of the human and, more important, the dehumanized that these multiple spheres affect and transform each other. Drawing on the writings of Alan Turing, Sara Ahmed, and Arlie Russell Hochschild; such films and novels as Her and The Stepford Wives ; technologies like Kismet (the pioneering “emotional robot”); and contemporary drone art, this book explores anthropomorphic paradigms in robot design and imagery in ways that often challenge the very grounds on which those paradigms operate in robotics labs and industry. From disembodied, conversational AI and its entanglement with care labor; embodied mobile robots as they intersect with domestic labor; emotional robots impacting affective labor; and armed military drones and artistic responses to drone warfare, The Robotic Imaginary ultimately reveals how the human is made knowable through the design of and discourse on humanoid robots that are, paradoxically, dehumanized.
Robotic engineering inspired by biology—biomimetics—has many potential applications: robot snakes can be used for rescue operations in disasters, snake-like endoscopes can be used in medical ...diagnosis, and artificial muscles can replace damaged muscles to recover the motor functions of human limbs. Conversely, the application of robotics technology to our understanding of biological systems and behaviors—biorobotic modeling and analysis—provides unique research opportunities: robotic manipulation technology with optical tweezers can be used to study the cell mechanics of human red blood cells, a surface electromyography sensing system can help us identify the relation between muscle forces and hand movements, and mathematical models of brain circuitry may help us understand how the cerebellum achieves movement control. Biologically Inspired Robotics contains cutting-edge material—considerably expanded and with additional analysis—from the 2009 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics (ROBIO). These 16 chapters cover both biomimetics and biorobotic modeling/analysis, taking readers through an exploration of biologically inspired robot design and control, micro/nano bio-robotic systems, biological measurement and actuation, and applications of robotics technology to biological problems. Contributors examine a wide range of topics, including: A method for controlling the motion of a robotic snake The design of a bionic fitness cycle inspired by the jaguar The use of autonomous robotic fish to detect pollution A noninvasive brain-activity scanning method using a hybrid sensor A rehabilitation system for recovering motor function in human hands after injury Human-like robotic eye and head movements in human–machine interactions A state-of-the-art resource for graduate students and researchers.

The development of information technology enabled us to exchange more items of information among us no matter how far we are apart from each other. It also changed our way of communication. Various ...types of robots recently promoted to be sold to general public hint that these robots may further influence our daily life as they physically interact with us and handle objects in environment. We may even recognize a feel of presence similar to that of human beings when we talk to a robot or when a robot takes part in our conversation. The impact will be strong enough for us to think about the meaning of communication. This e-book consists of various studies that examine our communication influenced by robots. Topics include our attitudes toward robot behaviors, designing robots for better communicating with people, and how people can be affected by communicating through robots.
