Endophytic fungi are microorganisms that live inside plants and are a promising source of bioactive molecules. These fungi have aroused a growing interest in research due to their ability to produce ...a variety of substances. Thus, this study aims to emphasize the relevance of endophytic fungi present in plants as a source of bioactive compounds, which have several applications in biotechnology. For this, scientometrics was used as a methodology, based on a search in the ScienceDirect database using the terms "endophytic fungi", "plants", "metabolites" and "biotechnological application" in a time frame between 2015 and 2022. These fungi have aroused a growing interest in research due to their ability to produce a variety of bioactive compounds. The interaction between endophytic fungi and plants is crucial for plant survival, and many of the compounds produced by fungi have biotechnological potential. Scientometrics revealed an increase in the number of publications on the subject, with emphasis on research studies and reviews. The prospection of endophytic fungi has focused on families of plants with medicinal attributes. These complex interactions between fungi and plants play an important role in plant health and development. Research in this area continues to grow, with many compounds identified as potential bioactive products in diverse biotechnological applications.

The use of robo‐readers to analyze news texts is an emerging technology trend in computational finance. Recent research has developed sophisticated financial polarity lexicons for investigating how ...financial sentiments relate to future company performance. However, based on experience from fields that commonly analyze sentiment, it is well known that the overall semantic orientation of a sentence may differ from that of individual words. This article investigates how semantic orientations can be better detected in financial and economic news by accommodating the overall phrase‐structure information and domain‐specific use of language. Our three main contributions are the following: (a) a human‐annotated finance phrase bank that can be used for training and evaluating alternative models; (b) a technique to enhance financial lexicons with attributes that help to identify expected direction of events that affect sentiment; and (c) a linearized phrase‐structure model for detecting contextual semantic orientations in economic texts. The relevance of the newly added lexicon features and the benefit of using the proposed learning algorithm are demonstrated in a comparative study against general sentiment models as well as the popular word frequency models used in recent financial studies. The proposed framework is parsimonious and avoids the explosion in feature space caused by the use of conventional n‐gram features.
Scientific co-authorship of African researchers has become a fashionable topic in the recent scientometric literature. Researchers are investigating the effects, modes, dynamics and motives of ...collaboration in a continental research system which is in an embryonic stage and in different stages of development from country to country. In this article we attempt to provide some additional evidence by examining both patterns of collaboration at country and continental levels and the scientific disciplines emphasised. Our findings indicate that the continent’s research emphasises medical and natural resources disciplines to the detriment of disciplines supporting knowledge based economies and societies. Furthermore, we identify that the collaborative patterns in Africa are substantial higher than in the rest of the world. A number of questions related to research collaboration and its effects are raised.
In this paper an analysis of the presence and possibilities of altmetrics for bibliometric and performance analysis is carried out. Using the web based tool Impact Story, we collected metrics for ...20,000 random publications from the Web of Science. We studied both the presence and distribution of altmetrics in the set of publications, across fields, document types and over publication years, as well as the extent to which altmetrics correlate with citation indicators. The main result of the study is that the altmetrics source that provides the most metrics is Mendeley, with metrics on readerships for 62.6 % of all the publications studied, other sources only provide marginal information. In terms of relation with citations, a moderate spearman correlation (
r
= 0.49) has been found between Mendeley readership counts and citation indicators. Other possibilities and limitations of these indicators are discussed and future research lines are outlined.

•Biomass into bioethanol presents combined advantages of waste to value conversion and fuel production.•The paper explores the characteristics of bioethanol literature from 2009 to ...2019 based on the Web of Science database.•Most papers on bioethanol production was published by China, USA, Brazil, and India.
Conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into ethanol presents combined advantages of waste to value conversion and alternative fuel generation. Synthesis of fermentable sugars from the biomass fractions, namely cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, is a challenging process. Bioethanol, identified as a sustainable solution to fossil fuels, has gained significant attention with an annual global production of 29 billion tonnes. The need for pre-treatment of biomass is justified to enhance the bioethanol conversion efficiency. This study is aimed to present the current research in the field of bioethanol production and analyze the research conducted on bioethanol production during the period 2009 to 2019. The searching keyword is “bioethanol” and the related data were collected from the WoS database and VOSviewer. The literatures are analysed by various modes such as type of document, language, leading authors, journals, institutions, and keywords. The results show that, the highest number of publications in bioethanol production was done by China, USA, Brazil, and India. It was also observed that the increase in number of author’s contributions lead to higher number of publications. A total of 37,935 authors contributed in the bioethanol production research and average author per publication (AAPP) is 4.72. The average productivity per author (PPA) is 0.21. This study provides statistical information to the researchers to facilitate an impactful sharing of their research results.
With the promotion of the concept of green development on a global scale, various industries are pursuing high profit returns while also considering the harmony between human and nature. Green ...finance is put forward under this background. In this paper, 815 green finance and energy policy literatures are retrieved from the Web of Science database. We first carry out descriptive statistical analysis, including the overall growth, publication sources, research regions and high-level scientific research institutions. After that, we conduct clusters analysis to find the research hotspots in recent years and point out the research trends in the future. Important journals, scholars, research findings and future research focuses of green finance and energy policy are identified in this paper. The purpose of this paper is to promote the research and discussion of green finance, and to conduct a clear policy-related discussion on its impact on the energy field. Four possible green finance-related energy policies are also summarized. This research facilitates a systematic and comprehensive understanding of green finance and energy policy research, and offers that green bonds, government subsidies and carbon dioxide emissions are the research opportunities in the future, and further research can be done by combining Fintech, big data and blockchain.

Concerns that the growing competition for funding and citations might distort science are frequently discussed, but have not been verified directly. Of the hypothesized problems, perhaps the most ...worrying is a worsening of positive-outcome bias. A system that disfavours negative results not only distorts the scientific literature directly, but might also discourage high-risk projects and pressure scientists to fabricate and falsify their data. This study analysed over 4,600 papers published in all disciplines between 1990 and 2007, measuring the frequency of papers that, having declared to have “tested” a hypothesis, reported a positive support for it. The overall frequency of positive supports has grown by over 22% between 1990 and 2007, with significant differences between disciplines and countries. The increase was stronger in the social and some biomedical disciplines. The United States had published, over the years, significantly fewer positive results than Asian countries (and particularly Japan) but more than European countries (and in particular the United Kingdom). Methodological artefacts cannot explain away these patterns, which support the hypotheses that research is becoming less pioneering and/or that the objectivity with which results are produced and published is decreasing.
In the construction industry under “Industry 4.0”, Natural Language Processing (NLP) has been widely used to process and analyze text data to achieve construction intelligence. However, there lacks a ...comprehensive review of NLP application in construction-related areas, raising bar of research entry and setting obstacles for the rapid development in this fields. Ninety one NLP-related research articles in construction-related fields were retrieved to conduct a scientometric analysis using CiteSpace and VOSViewer, and summarized from the perspectives of anchordatasets/data sources, technologies/tools, and applications and progress. The results show that data isolation causing non-reproducibility of research is one of the severe problems to be solved. Besides, pure NLP application studies will no longer meet the future industry development needs and more cross-modal interdisciplinary research based on the end-to-end pre-trained neural network model framework is needed. This study helps readers gain an in-depth understanding of the NLP application and development in construction.
