In all undergraduate programs related to electrical, electronics and computer engineering, a lab course on Digital Logic design is invariably included. The experiments in this lab class require the ...student to build combinational and sequential circuits using TTL integrated circuits such as gates and flip-flops. Some autonomous institutions have included hardware description language tools in the syllabus. In the past two years, due to the "online" teaching that educational institutions have resorted to, access to labs became impossible. In this paper, we propose the use of high-level programming languages like C or Python to carry out design and simulation experiments. Due to reasons such as cost and the learning curve associated with them, HDL tools are hard to integrate into a digital lab. Modern FPGA, with gate capacities of millions of gates, are suited for teaching Computer Architecture, but are overkill for an introductory digital lab. Schematic capture tools with a graphical user interface are an alternate, but the existing experiments in the syllabi are rarely able to exploit their capabilities. The use of complex tool environments may be distracting and may pose impediments to the learning. We suggest the use of simpler programming tools so that the focus on design is restored. We also explain how these tools can also be used creatively to touch on topics such as design verification, validation, and testing.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of augmented reality (AR) technology on students’ learning outcomes (measured according to Bloom’s cognitive levels) and attitude toward ...biology. The print book was redesigned by integrating a form of AR into it. A quasi-experimental pretest and posttest designs were used to test the effectiveness of the developed book on learning outcomes and attitude toward biology. In addition, the students’ opinions about the AR technology and the redesigned book were collected. In all, 68 ninth-grade students participated in the study. They were divided into the experimental group, who used the print book and the AR technology as a learning supplement, and the control group, who used the print book only. The results indicated that using AR technology may have the potential to enhance students’ learning outcomes at the analyzing level and their learning attitudes toward biology. The students mentioned that AR could be effective in terms of enhancing their biology learning.

Overall, it could conclude that the Geoboard teaching aid on similarity and symmetry topics was feasible, attractive, and effective for fifth-grade students.
Nursing students lack clinical experience in assessing intrapartum uterine activity, rating their ability and level of understanding as low or fair despite receiving theoretical instruction prior to ...attending clinical placements. Teaching model/aids may facilitate learning, however, purchasing additional models could prove expensive within many organisations. Limited exposure to skills rehearsal in school may contribute to student anxiety, stress, and perceived low self-efficacy when in clinical practice.
To develop and assess the effectiveness of a novel Uterine Contraction Learning Aid as a training tool to expand the knowledge, attitude, and practice of nursing students.
A two-phase study conducted at The Institute of Nursing in Thailand. Phase I was underpinned by research and development. After first being considered for its quality, by five experts comprising an obstetrician, two midwives and two nursing instructors, the novel Uterine Contraction Learning Aid was assessed by 30 fourth-year nursing students with experience in assessing uterine contractions for its educational suitability. Phase II - Sixty year-three nursing students were assigned via matched-pairs to either an experimental or control group to evaluate the effectiveness of the Uterine Contraction Learning Aid, completing three questionnaires underpinned by the knowledge, attitude, and practice concept.
Phase I- Descriptive statistics applied to survey responses indicate participants rated the quality of the Uterine Contraction Learning Aid highly in every aspect of learning skills, and perceptions of confidence. The overall production was rated at a good level. Phase II - An independent sample t-test was used to compare knowledge, attitude, and practice values in assessing uterine contractions between control and experimental groups. Participants in the experiment group had significantly higher scores in knowledge and practice when assessing uterine contractions compared to the control group (t = 4.768, p < 0.000 vs. t = 3.630, p < 0.001, respectively). There was no statistically significant difference in attitudes in relation to assessing uterine contractions between the two groups (t = 0.188, p = 0.852).
The novel Uterine Contraction Learning Aid can be used effectively to prepare nursing students prior to practicing with women undergoing intrapartum care.
•Limited exposure to skills rehearsal in school may contribute to student anxiety, stress, and perceived low self-efficacy•Using a training model could increase nursing cadets' skills in uterine activity assessment•learners expand knowledge through efficiency in using technology to support contemporary healthcare in clinical practice•In school skills rehearsal might not improve students' attitudes toward assessing uterine contractions in practice
Abstract The dualities of benzene derivatives often make basic organic chemistry challenging for students. This includes the relationship between full structural and line-angle formulas, the ...distinctions between preferred and systematic IUPAC names for benzene derivatives, and the nuances between ortho -, para -, and meta- directors. To effectively demonstrate these dualities of benzene derivatives, we have designed a range of teaching aids rooted in the folk toy, Jacob’s ladder. This paper presents lectures designed for advanced placement high school students and nonchemistry majors, employing this innovative series of Jacob’s ladder-based teaching aids. The majority of students found the lecture engaging, and many developed a comprehensive understanding of the dualities of benzene derivatives.
In the field of higher education in today’s era, cultivating vocal talents is crucial. This paper focuses on an innovative mechanism in vocal talent cultivation, i.e., enhancing vocal education by ...constructing a music recognition model based on Fourier algorithm. The Model is further applied to design a teaching aid system incorporating reinforcement learning to realize the synergistic development of digital media art and vocal talent cultivation. After rigorous testing, we found that the music recognition model has an accuracy rate of over 90% and is highly resistant to noise. In addition, by analyzing the practices of several colleges and universities’ music schools, it is observed that there are significant differences among different institutions in the four comparative items, with standard deviations exceeding 0.6. In particular, the average scores using this study’s teaching system for vocal talent cultivation are 4.312, 4.335, 4.267, and 4.354, respectively, generally higher than those of the other colleges. The mean values of these four different vocal music majors were all above 4 points. Therefore, the teaching system for vocal talent training proposed in this paper effectively improves the quality of vocal talent training and provides a new path for the practical reform and optimization of said education.
