At present, scientific and technical activities (STA) play a fundamental role in the creation of new knowledge necessary for the realisation of the goals of sustainable economic growth. The purpose ...of the research is to assess STA in countries of the world and Ukraine as well as to analyse the impact of STA on their sustainable economic growth. For the assessment of STA of world countries, we have developed a composite indicator (Index of STA–ISTA) based on two sub-indices (Potential of STA and Results of STA) and a set of partial indicators. The study is carried out using a theoretical and methodological approach that includes five research stages: calculating the ISTA of world countries with their subsequent ranking; assessing the impact of the ISTA on the economic growth of world countries; evaluating the correlations between the ISTA, the Global Innovation Index (GII), and the Human Development Index (HDI); breaking down world countries into groups with the help of cluster analysis, using data on the ISTA, GII, HDI; assessing and analysing the importance of environment-related technologies and innovations in ensuring the economic growth of countries of the world. According to the results of the study, the importance of STA in ensuring sustainable economic growth of countries of the world was confirmed. The use of cluster analysis to group countries of the world in terms of the level of STA made it possible to identify three clusters of countries: leaders, potential leaders, and catching-up countries. It has been proven that in order for a country to achieve leadership in terms of STA, it is important to harmoniously combine efforts to support and develop its scientific potential as well as to create principles for the implementation of scientific achievements in innovation activities to ensure its economic growth and improve the living standards of its population. Besides, the analysis allowed proving the existence of a moderately positive impact of the development of environment-related technologies and innovations on the acceleration of innovative development, improvement of the quality of life of the population, and the growth of GDP per capita.
This study aimed to examine the effects of low-percentage ball possession teams (LPBPT) and high-percentage ball possession teams (HPBPT) on the physical and technical performance of UEFA Champions ...League (UCL) players. All data were obtained from group stage matches of UCL during the 2020/21 season using a semi-automatic optical tracking system. Linear mixed model was fitted with contextual variables as covariates. Wide midfielders and forwards in LPBPT covered more total distance, low-intensity running, and achieved greater average speed than in HPBPT (all large effect sizes ES). Central defenders and fullbacks covered more high-intensity running (small ES), while CMs covered more sprinting (medium ES) in HPBPT than in LPBPT. Players on all playing positions produced greater number of passes and successful passes in HPBPT than in LPBPT (large ES), except forwards who produced more passes in LPBPT than in HPBPT (small ES). Both physical and technical performance were highly dependent on ball possession percentages, with evident position-specific changes, indicating that the effect of ball possession is highly position-dependent. These findings provide information for soccer coaches on physical and technical demands across teams with varying percentage ball possession, which could be used to individualise training programs based on playing style and position.
Many Ukrainian and foreign scholars have been studying the problems of financing scientific activities for a long time. Moreover, such issues are even raised in the works of scholars from developed ...Western countries. The range of such studies is extremely wide: from analysing problems and violations of the above-mentioned principles of law to modelling innovative grant support systems, including those that model an equal and fair system. Foreign scientists mostly focus on the specifics of grant provision and its impact, improvement and innovation of the financial resource allocation system in the field of science, etc. In Ukraine, the vast majority of research is concerned with the comparative characteristics of the share of the gross domestic product allocated to science funding, general problems of international cooperation with foreign grant providers, improvement of the system of financial resources allocation in the field of science, etc. Unfortunately, no attention has been paid to specific mechanisms of rewarding publications in leading foreign scientific journals. This issue is no less important, since individual support for publication activity is a powerful “lever of encouragement” for researchers and academic staff, which directly affects the results of a particular institution in the chain of international and national rankings. In addition, such support contributes to the development of science, scientific and technological progress, and raises the country’s rating in the international arena. The article is devoted to the formulation of possible ways of solving the problem of proper State support and funding for publications of Ukrainian scholars in leading foreign professional journals in accordance with the following criteria: equal rights and opportunities to receive funding for publications in foreign professional journals from the State, regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, religious beliefs, social and property status, place of work, research topic, etc. funding for foreign professional publications is provided only to the scientist personally without the mediation of the institution where he/she works or third parties in order to increase his/her scientific efficiency and quality, to popularize Ukrainian science and to attract competitive international professionals to science; the funding of foreign professional publications should be set transparently. The mechanism for calculating the relevant funding has been formed. The definitions of the concepts “mechanism of state support and financing of publications of Ukrainian scientists in foreign professional journals included in leading international databases”, “leading international databases” and “foreign professional journal” have been proposed. The article analyses the publication activity (1996–2022) of Ukrainian scientists in scientific journals indexed in the international scientometric database Scopus.
The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of mental fatigue (MF) on the psychophysiological responses, kinematic profiles, and technical performance of young soccer players in small-sided ...games (SSGs). Twenty-four young soccer players (age: 15.9 ± 1.0 years) played 2vs2, 3vs3, and 4vs4 SSGs consisting of four bouts (with two-minute passive rest periods between bouts) under two different playing conditions: MF+SSGs and SSGs. The heart rate, total distance covered, and technical performance of each player were monitored during all SSGs, and the rating of perceived exertion, visual analogue scale, and Rating Scale Mental Effort values were determined after each bout. The Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale (PACES) and Brunel Mood Scale (BRUMS) were also determined at the end of each SSG. The results demonstrated that all MF+SSGs induced higher psychophysiological responses (p ≤ 0.05) than SSGs, except regarding the PACES responses. By contrast, the SSGs group covered a greater total distance (p ≤ 0.05) than the MF+SSGs group. During SSGs, the players’ technical performances (in terms of lost balls and unsuccessful passes) were negatively affected after MF (p ≤ 0.05). The results of this study indicate that both PACES scores and mood responses were negatively affected after the MF intervention. Coaches could use the MF intervention before SSGs to improve soccer-specific technical and decision-making performances in young soccer players.

Актуальность. В рамках выполнения ежегодной геолого-экономической оценки запасов согласно международным стандартам при оценке коэффициентов извлечения нефти рекомендовано использовать методы аналогии, в том числе многомерные статистические методы. Используемые в настоящее время статистические модели для месторождений Пермского края построены на основе анализа информации по состоянию на 2008 г. За последнее десятилетие для территории исследования произошло массовое внедрение принципиально новых технологий разработки пластов, значительно повысившее эффективность разработки и достижимые величины проектных коэффициентов извлечения нефти. Соответственно, в современных условиях необходимо уточнение действующих моделей прогноза коэффициентов извлечения нефти. Цель: актуализация для визейских нефтяных эксплуатационных объектов Пермского края многомерных моделей прогноза коэффициентов извлечения нефти с учетом современного опыта разработки. Объекты: визейские нефтяные эксплуатационные объекты Пермского края. Методика. Проведен анализ геолого-технологических показателей разработки, оценено их влияние на утвержденные значения коэффициента извлечения нефти по действующим проектным технологическим документам. В качестве статистических использованы: метод на основе распределения t-Стьюдента, корреляционный анализ, метод множественной регрессии. Анализ проводился раздельно для нефтяных залежей, разрабатываемых в условиях реализации системы поддержания пластового давления и на естественном режиме. Результаты статистической оценки коэффициентов извлечения нефти для залежей поздних стадий разработки сопоставлены с утвержденными в проектно-технологических документах. Результаты. Полученные многомерные статистические модели позволяют оперативно прогнозировать коэффициенты извлечения нефти для визейских залежей, разрабатываемых с поддержанием пластового давления и на естественном режиме. Построение моделей прогноза осуществлено в двух вариантах: на основе геолого-физических показателей для месторождений, находящихся на разведочной стадии (категория запасов С1+С2), и геолого-технологических показателей для разрабатываемых месторождений (категория запасов А+В). Сходимость полученных моделей показала удовлетворительные результаты для объектов поздних стадий. Полученные модели могут быть использованы для оперативного контроля извлекаемых запасов нефти при проектировании разработки и проведении геолого-экономической оценки запасов по международным стандартам.
The study aimed to examine the performance frequency of selected technical activities by soccer teams playing in the UEFA EURO 2016 in relation to match outcome and match status. Thirty-six matches ...of the group stage were analysed. The data were retrieved using an OPTA Sportsdata Company system. The notated technical activities: shots, passes, were expressed as frequency of performance (playing time/number of activities); while ball possession was expressed in percentage terms. = 0.113) in relation to match status. A team's playing effectiveness requires a concurrent scrutiny of players' technical activities in relation to match outcome and match status. Key technical activities affecting a successful match outcome are frequencies of different types of shots. However, when the team is playing to change an unfavourable score (losing and drawing in match status), the most important are frequencies of different types of passes and higher percent of ball possession.
O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a produção acadêmica sobre a utilização dos exergames nas aulas de Educação Física Escolar. Utilizou-se uma revisão sistemática qualitativa para a obtenção dos ...artigos selecionados. Foram encontrados treze trabalhos indexados nas bases de dados Medline, Lilacs, Scielo e DOAJ. Constatou-se que os exergames são uma alternativa viável para o campo educacional e podem auxiliar no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Além disso, quando aliados a atividades em ambiente real podem motivar os alunos e aumentar o nível de atividade física. Entretanto, observamos limitações metodológicas que comprometem a validade dos achados apresentados. Reforçamos a necessidade de mais pesquisas que busquem avaliar criticamente as potencialidades pedagógicas de tais equipamentos na Educação Física Escolar.
To assess scientific production related to ophthalmology and vision in Latin America during the period from 2006 to 2015.
The PubMed, Lilacs (Bireme), Google Scholar, SciELO, and Medigraphic ...databases were evaluated for this retrospective, descriptive, and comparative study.
A total of 1,510 articles was identified. Brazil was the leader in quantitative production in ophthalmology, averaging 85.4 articles per year. Mexico was in second place with 27.4, and Argentina was in third place with 11.1 articles per year. Forty-one percent of articles were published in English, 28.1% dealt with the subspecialty of the retina, and 63% were published by researchers affiliated with universities. The frequency of male first authors was 58.9%, and the journal Arquivos Brasileiros de Oftalmologia accounted for 36.42% of the identified articles.
Brazil stands in first place in Latin America in ophthalmologic scientific production. Nearly half of the researchers in ophthalmology in Latin America included in our study were listed in databases other than PubMed.
