Introduction. Strategic planning is one of the key components of the organization's management system. Corporate strategies are usually based on functional strategies relating to managerial ...benchmarks for achieving goals in functional areas. Purpose. The purpose of the research is to develop conceptual approaches and form strategies for the development of scientific and scientific-technical activities in higher education institutions (HEIs). Result. It is substantiated that the corporate strategy of a HEI should be based on functional strategies that relate to managerial guidelines for achieving goals in functional areas. It is proposed to systematize possible strategies for effec tive functioning of a modern HEI by forming the list of functional strategies that would include such strategies as the strategy of educational activities; of scientific and scientific-technical activities; innovation activities; international activities (internationalization); staff development; marketing activities; financial activities etc. The tools for developing strategies of scientific and scientific-technical activities are developed; characteristic features of approaches to the strategic planning with the due account of HEIs specifics are singled out. It is substantiated that to elaborate and form the strategic plan of a HEI it is expedient to create working groups with the involvement of qualified specialists in the field of strategic management, who have not only theoretical but also practical experience. It is also expedient to involve in this process managers from all levels of the HEI management (vice-rectors, directors of institutes, heads of departments), as well as external experts and members of the supervisory board. It is shown that application of the system appro ach to the tasks performance, coordination of actions on the implementation of strategic objectives, orientation towards achieving the targets, implementation of the culture of achievement at all levels of management, and control over the execution of the planned tasks are the determining factors for the strategy implementation. Conclusions. The application of the proposed tools will enable institutional management of HEIs to creatively formulate an effective policy of scientific and scientific-technical activities and take measures for its implementation.
Demonstra a contribuição da revista Movimento para a subárea sociocultural e pedagógica da Educação Física brasileira entre 2004 e 2014. De natureza quanti-qualitativa, faz uso de técnicas da ...Cienciometria e Bibliometria para analisar os seguintes indicadores: periodicidade; vínculo com a pós-graduação; presença de financiamento; tipo de autoria; formação acadêmica; relação com grupos de pesquisa; e vínculo institucional. Os resultados evidenciam: o crescimento de trabalhos coletivos como tendência no campo científico da área; a atuação da revista Movimento, que veicula pesquisas produzidas no país e internacionalmente; e a necessidade de políticas que potencializem os estudos desenvolvidos na “periferia” do Sistema Nacional de pós-graduação.
O objetivo desta revisão sistemática foi analisar os artigos empíricos publicados sobre satisfação no trabalho de docentes de Educação Física que atuam na educação básica. A consulta foi realizada ...nas bases de indexação LILACS, SciELO, Scopus e Web of Science. O processo de seleção resultou em 18 artigos que atenderam aos critérios de inclusão da revisão. A maior parte dessas produções científicas é nacional, se concentra principalmente na Região Sul do Brasil, com abordagem quantitativa e uso de questionários/escalas como instrumento de medidas. A análise dos resultados expostos nos artigos revelou que os docentes estavam majoritariamente satisfeitos com a avaliação global do trabalho e com aspectos do trabalho englobados nas dimensões relevância social, leis e normas do trabalho, progressão na carreira e autonomia no trabalho, apresentando-se insatisfeitos com aqueles referentes à remuneração e às condições de trabalho.
Este estudo objetiva apresentar uma configuração da produção científica resultante de teses e dissertações da Educação Física (EF) brasileira nos programas de pós-graduação (PPG) da Área 21 entre os ...anos 2013/2017. Para tal, foi realizada uma busca no Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da Capes, na Plataforma Sucupira e uma análise do Relatório de Avaliação Quadrienal da Área 21. Foram identificadas 2.969 produções, sendo 2.371 dissertações de mestrado e 598 teses de doutorado. Olhando para as produções, foi possível destacar a pluralidade e a polissemia do conhecimento na Área. Identificou-se, porém, também uma hegemonia que demonstra uma certa visão sobre uma forma específica de produzir/construir conhecimento, que é regido por aqueles que dominam o campo da EF com um maior capital científico, a subárea biodinâmica.
This paper explains the organization and execution of a summer engineering outreach camp designed to attract and motivate high school students as well as increase their awareness of various ...engineering fields. The camp curriculum included hands-on, competitive design-oriented engineering projects from several disciplines: the electrical, environmental, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering fields. The camp also provided additional information on financial aid, the academic programs in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) offered at Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK), as well as various career options for prospective engineers. The implementation of the camp activities and the well-designed hands-on projects not only increased the students' satisfaction, but also improved their self-confidence and their interest toward engineering disciplines. The engineering outreach camp survey results clearly indicated the success of the camp and the effectiveness of the hands-on, competitive engineering design experiences to attract students to engineering professions. Thus, it demonstrated an effective, feasible, and sustainable engineering recruitment approach.
O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a produção científica em Educação Física de dissertações e teses de programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu, no período de 2001 a 2010, com enfoque em suas ...abordagens metodológicas. Os PPGEF selecionados foram: USP, Unesp, UFRGS, Unicamp e UGF. A análise dos dados pautou-se na abordagem metodológica proposta por Gaya (2008). Os resultados apontaram predominância da abordagem nomotética, seguida da interpretativa e ausência da intervenção social. Conclui-se, com base em Bourdieu, que as regras do jogo científico têm influenciado a orientação metodológica da produção de conhecimento da área, o que pode repercutir na reprodução de modos hegemônicos de ciência no campo.

In this paper, we consider the exact top-k query problem in wireless sensor networks, i.e., where one seeks to find the k highest reported values as well as the complete set of nodes that reported ...them. Our primary contribution in this context is EXTOK, a provably correct and topology-independent new filtering-based algorithm for processing exact top-k queries. As a secondary contribution we confirm a previous result of ours by showing that the efficiency of top-k query processing algorithms, including EXTOK, can be further improved by simply choosing a proper underlying logical tree topology. We examine EXTOK's performance with respect to a number of parameters and different logical tree topologies while using both synthetic and real data sets. Our simulation reveal that EXTOK consistently outperforms the current state-of-the-art algorithm by a very significant margin and regardless of the underlying logical tree topology.
