The authors present new petrographic and mineralogical data for the Um Zariq Formation which belongs to Arabian–Nubian Shield metamorphic exposures in the Sinai Peninsula. The formation is believed ...to be a metasedimentary sequence whose protolith was deposited during the Sturtian Snowball Earth Event (SEE). Our new field data indicate the occurrence of metasomatised limestones/dolostones (calc-silicates) which is distinct from those reported from The Feiran-Solaf Metamorphic Complex. We highlight the presence of a lamprophyre body close to the Kid A-type granite; the Malhaq vogesite - a variety of hornblende-phyric lamprophyre with orthoclase feldspar-. Based on mineral assemblages, field observations and petrographic study, metapelites record an early greenschist/lower amphibolite facies regional metamorphism. Intrusion of the syn-collisional deformed granites (CA1) synchronised with the regional metamorphism at ca. 660±25 Ma. Both of the metamorphic events overprinted on the metapelites and calc-silicates. The contact metamorphism formed cordierite and andalusite in the metapelites and pyroxenes in the calc-silicates. Calc-silicates, on the other hand, record anisotropic fabrics, higher T metamorphic mineral assemblages with hornfelsic texture. The Um Zariq metapelites protoliths were deposited at a deeper stratigraphic level and thus, recorded the regional and contact metamorphism contrary to the shallower carbonates. The peak metamorphic conditions were followed by retrograde metamorphism marked by chlorite and prehnite from metapelites and prehnite, epidote and chlorite in calc-silicates. The Um Zariq igneous activity (Kid A-type Granite and the Malhaq Lamprophyre) marks the transformation from collisional to extensional regime in the Arabian–Nubian Shield at ca. 600 Ma.
•The UZ Formation (895-647 Ma) represents greenschist facies metapelites and calcsilicates complexes during closure of the Mozambique ocean.•The Kid Granite (<600 Ma) is an A-type granite whose geochemistry suggest emplacement in an anorogenic setting.•A calc-alkaline lamprophyre Unit is reported for the first time from the UZ area and is here named the Malhaq Lamprophyre.•Kid Granite and Malhaq Lamprophyre represents a switch from a collisional to an extensional tectonic setting at the end of the Pan African Orogeny.
Background
Laryngeal squamous cell carcinomas (LSCCs) have a high risk of recurrence and poor prognosis. Patient‐derived cancer cell lines remain important preclinical models for advancement of new ...therapeutic strategies, and comprehensive characterization of these models is vital in the precision medicine era.
Methods
We performed exome and transcriptome sequencing as well as copy number analysis of a panel of LSCC‐derived cell lines that were established at the University of Michigan and are used in laboratories worldwide.
Results
We observed a complex array of alterations consistent with those reported in The Cancer Genome Atlas head and neck squamous cell carcinoma project, including aberrations in PIK3CA, EGFR, CDKN2A, TP53, and NOTCH family and FAT1 genes. A detailed analysis of FAT family genes and associated pathways showed disruptions to these genes in most cell lines.
Conclusions
The molecular profiles we have generated indicate that as a whole, this panel recapitulates the molecular diversity observed in patients and will serve as useful guides in selecting cell lines for preclinical modeling.

In UM-MIMO systems, the impact of mutual coupling among antennas on the system performance is unable to be ignored because of the dense array. In this letter, a channel model of UM-MIMO communication system is developed which considers coupling effect. The effect of mutual coupling in the subarray on the functionality of the system has been investigated through simulation studies, and reliable results have been derived.

The study utilized instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) to accurately analyze the elemental composition of 28 felsite (rhyolite), rock samples. Statistical ...approaches, including bivariate and multivariate analysis, were employed to characterize the rocks and determine their origin. Major findings include significantly high levels of silicon (297000 ± 4000) mg/kg and low levels were noticed for gold (0.10 ± 0.01) mg/kg. The dominant major elements in the rocks were ranked as follows: silicon > aluminum > potassium > sodium > zirconium > calcium > zinc > manganese. A comparison with the upper continental crust (UCC) revealed higher levels for most elements, except for a few. The study also identified substantial amounts of uranium and thorium. Variations in elemental composition were observed both between different profiles and within felsite (rhyolite) rock samples, indicating heterogeneity and varying origins of the rocks. The findings contribute valuable baseline data for the area and highlight its economic significance for Egypt. Additionally, the study addresses the integration of results from different analytical methods, providing a comprehensive answer to this issue.
Coal burst is a severe hazard that can result in fatalities and damage of facilities in underground coal mines. To address this issue, a robust unascertained combination model is proposed to study ...the coal burst hazard based on an updated database. Four assessment indexes are used in the model, which are the dynamic failure duration (DT), elastic energy index (WET), impact energy index (KE) and uniaxial compressive strength (RC). Four membership functions, including linear (L), parabolic (P), S and Weibull (W) functions, are proposed to measure the uncertainty level of individual index. The corresponding weights are determined through information entropy (EN), hierarchy analysis process (AHP) and synthetic weights (CW). Simultaneously, the classification criteria, including unascertained cluster (UC) and credible identification principle (CIP), are analyzed. The combination algorithm, consisting of P function, CW and CIP (P-CW-CIP), is selected as the optimal classification model in function of theory analysis and to train the samples. Ultimately, the established ensemble model is further validated through test samples with 100% accuracy. The results reveal that the hybrid model has a great potential in the coal burst hazard evaluation in underground coal mines.
