  • Management and globalisation : the new concept of measuring globalisation

    In their attempts towards measuring globalisation authors are confronted with some uncertainties. These concerh the intension, relevant indicators and methodology of measuring globalisation, as well ... as the reliability of results on the basis of available internationally comparable statistical data. These factors perform a challenge of search for a newconcept, which would indicate aprogress in this field. Suchlike iz the purpose of the concept, which is empirically tested on the case of measuring globalisation of Slovenia and nine comparable countries. The concept is based on the system of basic and explanatory indicators and on connection between regression analysis method and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Main advantages of the concept arise from the definition of both types of indicators, the intention of use ofregression analysis method and possibilities of research offered by AHP.
