  • Tourism system and air passenger rights in practice
    Jere Jakulin, Tadeja
Tourism as the fastest growing world economy must be treated as a complex system, where problems are soft and require fast and effective decisions. The decision-makers are forced to search for the ... solutions and not concentrate solely upon problems. The appropriate approach is needed to find optimal solutions as the answers to the problems, which occur in tourism system practice. In the paper, we will present systems approach as the appropriate methodology for managing complex tourism system composed by many different interconnected subsystems (elements), which influence and complement each other. These subsystems present the tourism market and its dynamic behavior within the environment: tourism demand and supply, intermediaries, support institutions, flow of tourists, transiting regions, and legislation. We will build a CLD model of the tourism system as a bridge between the theory and practice, and conclude the paper with the airpassenger rights as the primer of the tourism system dynamics in practice.
