Service eco-system approach to regional medical & healthcare services [Elektronski vir]

Medical and health services have become an inevitable theme not only for emergency coping with the covid-19 disaster, but also for increasing regional sustainability in an aging society. This study ...explores how a service theory with ecosystem model can be expressed in the current comprehensive regional approach to medical and health services, based on the author’s contents in “medical service science” education with a contents production business for caregiving and the outcome in tourism entrepreneurship emphasizing local experiential value for regional activation. Both of service management model and ecosystem perspectives referred by S-D logic are applied on the successful case and current smart city measures cases aiming to realize community-based medical/health care service beyond the difficulties of the regional complex system. These case studies not only show how co-creating health value by integrating local medical resources through data linkage with other fields are explained, but also indicates how the future innovative service is designed towards regional social sustainability.
