  • Legal and human resource management perspectives on remuneration and compensation of innovativeness in employment relationship [Elektronski vir]
    Zirnstein, Elizabeta ; Franca, Valentina
Long-term success is only possible, if companies build their competitiveness also on innovation. Employees should be motivated for their innovative effort and companies should build a compensation ... system that spurs this effort. From this point of view, compensation for the innovativeness in employment relationship is not only a reword for employees' creative thinking, but is also an incentive to innovate. The right of employee to claim for such a reward is, according to Slovene legislation, statutorily defined only for patentable innovations. Reword for other innovations (models, useful proposals or suggestions, improvements) are in the companies' domain. A qualitative study of remuneration of innovativeness in Slovene companies has shown that the companies are aware of the importance of the remuneration of innovativeness, but they approach to this subject in very different ways. All agree, though, that innovation should be part of organization culture and company values.
