Types of user involvment in user driven innovation [Elektronski vir]

Discussion referred to in this paper show that users can take different roles in innovation process. The degree of usersʼ type of involvement depends on interaction with users and strategic firmʼs ...orientation towards open innovation. The types of user involvement are basis for our conceptual model of user driven innovation. With reference to the literature open innovation paradigm relies on ideas developed either internally or externally. Types of cooperation with users can be classified into three groups: researching and understanding of users, users as active researchers and developers, and users' own innovation as source of companyʼs innovation.
