Niska razina izvanpansionske potrošnje u Hrvatskoj upućuje na potrebu promjene tradicionalno nemaštovite turističke ponude. Kulinarski identitet, kao dio duhovne baštine, može osmišljenim uključivanjem u turističku ponudu pridonijeti boljem imidžu odredišta, a time i konkurentnosti turizma. Da bi se to postiglo, potrebno je podići svijest lokalnom stanovništvu o izvornim vrijednostima i prednostima, ali i osigurati podršku za to zaduženih državnih institucija.
