    Currently the educational games have been used as a teaching resource that acts as a helper of fixing the disciplinary matters of biology, acting as useful for the teaching and learning of content taught in primary and secondary teaching tool, they present themselves as alternative that assists the construction of students' knowledge. This work aimed to make a reflection about the use of educational games in teaching biology and its importance to the process of teaching and learning. The survey was developed through literature review articles indexed in the data banks of Cielo, Google and Academic Portal Capes, about the importance of educational games as educational material that helps the teaching and learning of biology content. Through a qualitative analysis on the subject was noticed in the literature that the use of educational games has been very relevant and its relationship to the teaching of biology has proven to be a viable teaching tool to aid learning content in a relaxed way room, providing opportunities for further development by the students, and assisting teachers in articulating their classes in a dynamic and fun way, away from the view of subjects and monotonous classes. Thus, through this reflection was evident that is currently relevant to the educational environment to introduce mechanisms stimulating teaching in the classroom in order to provide a useful teaching and learning for both the student and for the teacher.
