    The following study analyzes two parodies of Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice, Steve Hockensmith's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - Dawn of the Dreadfuls and Seth Grahame - Smith's Pride and ... Prejudice and Zombies and compares them with the original novel. Special attention is paid to the social and cultural context of the novels as well as their analysis from a feminist perspective. The conclusion arises that, ironically, despite the threat of a zombie invasion, the life of the protagonists, with the exception of the Bennet sisters getting a different kind of education by becoming zombie slayers, remains greatly unchanged. When placing the novels in the framework of a feminist perspective, the conclusion is that "trouble" arises any time a woman does not act in accordance with her pre-assigned role as a woman. To arrive at these conclusions, the methods of description, comparison, generalization and specification along with a historical analysis were used.
