  • The role of TU in the LLL process in the new member states of EU

    The role of trade unions in the system of national industrial relations is different in nearly every country. The same applies for their role in the process of education and vocational training for ... their members. On the other hand some similarities can be found, especially in the countries with similar social and market development. The new member states of the EU face quite a lot of challenges when answering the question "what is the role of trade unions in the 21st century". One of the questions which have arisen more and more is how they relate with their members, employers and also universities in the field of education and vocational training, or in other words, which goal are they oriented to in the process of lifelong learning of their members. In the workshop we will also try to answer the question how should trade unions behave in work intensive industries, where we are facing greater unemployment and thus the needs of LLL are even bigger.
