  • Menu applications for cadastral attribute data management

    A short description is given of a complete menu system for query and updating of cadastral attribute data. A relational data model is applied consisting of normalized tables of cadastral data. The ... menu system of application is based on Oracle RDBMS software tools and is designed as a complete independent system with respect to hardware, software and time. The interaction between computer and user is considered as being user friendly. The menu system described is integrated with graphical cadastral data over a generic ARC/INFO interface on Unix based HP workstations to form a corporate database (LIS). It is used as a basic system for the attribute part of an integrated cadastral LIS which is now under construction for three municipalities in the Republic of Slovenia. On the other hand, it is also developed as a learning tool on all levels of LIS/GIS education and training
