  • Pametna tehnologija kot inovativno orodje za promocijo in spodbujanje kolesarskega prometa in trajnostne mobilnosti
    Andrejčič Mušič, Polonca
Nowadays, modern cities in Europe and over the world strive to be more sustainable and liveable. With introducing of different Mobility Management Strategies they are trying to find the right mix of ... measures to achieve the best daily mode of transport change from car to walking, bicycle and public passenger transport. However, to enable a coherent infrastructure system which enable a sustainable mobility development, cities must build-up safe, coherent-connected, functional-comfortable, and as much as direct, and attractive public transport, walking and cycling interconnected networks. Pedestrians and cyclists directions are often the same, but in case of inappropriate infrastructure it can appear conflicts between of them. Therefore, designing of pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure is a responsible work. Pedestrians and cyclists are very vulnerable while walking and cycling is all the time intertwined with other traffic. Therefore, in each city some important factors must be introduced: Sustainable oriented spatial planning which includes quality design of walking and cycling infrastructure thus to satisfy needs of users; Sustainable oriented traffic engineering with emphasis on quality cross-section design of walking and cycling infrastructure.
