  • Management of ERP solutions

    A review of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions research revealed different strategies for implementing ERP successfully. The implementation of an ERP solution is strategic and complex ... project involving considerable risks reflected in the time, scope, and cost of project implementation. Over the past years considerable research has been published on Critical success factors (CSFs) in ERP implementation. On the basis of nineteen previous published research we have developed a model of CSF in ERP implementation. We analysed CSFs in ERP implementation projects in a filed research study. We researched importance of CSF in SAP implementation projects conducted according to ASAP methodology and we researched importance of CSF in Microsoft Dynamics NAV implementation projects conducted according to SureStep methodology. We compared relative importance of CSF for both ERP solutions. Our findings extend previous findings published by other authors by confirming that different rankings of CSF emerge in ASAP and SureStep methodologies. Results also indicate that some CSFs differ in importance across phases of an ERP implementation project depending on whether ASAP and SureStep methodologies are used.
