    Management gap is the lack of ability in company management to make business decisions with the lowes risk. It can be shown in different situations and fields. The management science is directed to ... the methods of lowering the management gap. Author states, that this problem will be among the main ones in Yugoslav companies, because of the reformations taking place and switching to market economy. In this context the author shows the organisation and faculty planes of Economics-business faculty in Maribor, which are used in educating and creating managers, and are based on principles of functional management.
