  • Simulation, scenario and shadow price analysis

    In business decision-making optimal values printed in computer solution reports of the linear and linear mixed integer optimization models should not be applied directly. In this paper, causes for ... such a circumspect are introduced, together with the research results about the variability of the optimal values of primal and dual variables as well as the optimal objective function value. Some examples, in which scenario analysis and business process simulation are more appropriate to apply than direct shadow price analysis, are presented.
