  • Theoretical and experimental fundaments of heating system having pipes of smaller diameter

    Recently, certain problems occur in standard heating systems. Due to improvements in heat insulation of buildings heat losses, too, are smaller. This results in smaller heater, reduced circulating ... water quantity, and pipings having a smaller diameter. Therefore, the velocity of water is lower. This results in lower heat transfer, control problems, and excessive material consumption. For this reason a new heating system was developed where pipes of smaller diameter (8,10 and 12 mm) were applied. Material consumption was theoretically analyzed both, in the standard and the newly formed heating system, heat and hydraulical as well as noise problems were analysed experimentaly.
