  • Management at the University of Ljubljana caught between state policy and market principles

    The consequences revealed in the current situation at the University of Ljubljana imply that the present way of management is questionable and requires a thorough consideration especially in the ... field of its modification and modernisation. Furthermore this raises questions such as whose duty it is to change such an important institution as the university, and who is responsible for its changes? Is it the state, is it the staff, the management of the University, the local public or consumers in the broadest sense? e suggest that the future should focus on modern methods and techniques of humanresources management at the University, and we can conclude that any adaptation to structural changes would bring about a more satisfactory operation of the University. This article shall open the discussion on this topic.
