  • Endoanevrizmorafija anevrizme abdominalne aorte skozi minimalno laparotomijo = Endoaneurysmorrhaphy - minimally invasive abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
    Klokočovnik, Tomislav
Background. Although minimally invasive operative approach has been increasingly used in cardiovascular surgery lately, minimal access abdominal aortic repair is still in its experimental phase. ... Patients and methods. At this Department, endoaneurysmprrhaphy performed though minilaparotomy has beenused in 3 patients harbouring abdominal aortic aneurysm, 5 cm in diameter, arising below the point of origin of the renal arteries. Results. Endoaneurysmorrhaphy for abdominal aortic aneurysm has proved a fairly safe, yet technically rather demanding operative technique. Its advantages include: decreased postoperative pain, reduced risk of paralytic ileus, faster recoveryand shorter hospital stay. Conclusions. In the selected cases, endoaneurysmorrhaphy accomplished through minilaparomtomy has proved a safe treatment modality yielding good postoperative results.
