  • Oftalmološki pristop pri glavobolu = Ophthalmological approach in headaches

    Headache is the most common symptom for which patients seek help everyday in any medical specialty. Different specialities approach differently to the problem of headache, its division, diagnosis and ... therapy. The treatment aim isto assure the patient the best physical and emotional comfort with the attention to the pain cause. Thorough medical history and clinical examinationare most important principles in approaching headaches. The ophthalmologist excludes any ophthalmic reason causing pain and also evaluatesthe visual pathway especially in connection with any intracranial disease or changes in intracranial pressure. A review of ophthalmological painful diseases from the outer, anterior and posterior eye segment with the orbit, organic diseases accompanying elevated intracranial pressure or vascular problems, is presented from the ophthalmologist's point of view.
