  • Oris strukture sodišč na Slovenskem v 16. stoletju

    The article presents a survey of the organization of courts in the Slovenian Lands in the 16th century. It is based on research by Janko Polec published in 1927 and is, along with data gathered from ... some judicial statutes, critically supplemented by the findings of more recent studies. Courts in which the lay, ordinary people took an important role, are presented mainly in the light of the book "Zgodovinska pravotvornost in Slovenci" by Sergij Vilfan. Account has also been taken of earlier authors addressing this topic such as Valvasor, Beckmann, Rechbach and Erberg. Due to the diversity of regulation and numerous peculiarities, it is not possible to prepare a uniform survey of judicial structure for the entire Slovenian territory. Therefore the article only deals with certain general tendencies and points out some more important peculiarities.
