Apple is John Bascom Professor of Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Policy Studies at the University of ... Wisconsin, Madison. He is author of Education and Power, Ideology and Curriculum, and Teachers and Texts. His most recent books include Official Knowledge: Democratic Education in a Conservative Age and Cultural Politics and Education published by Teacher's College Press. Professor Apple serves as the Editor of the Critical Social Thought Series published by Routledge. His work has been translated into several different languages and he has presented lectures around the world. He is currently working on another book, Educating the Right Way. In this interview he discusses his work and current educational concerns.
