    Background. Aneurysms of pelvic arteries occur quite seldom. The aneurysm is most frequently attended by abdominal aortas, and they are particularly loc oniliac arteries (communes, external, ... internal). We think of them by symptoms as tension and pains in the lower abdomen, disorders in urination, or in the excrement leak. We prove them by arteriography, ultrasound examination of the lower abdomen, or by the computer tomography. Conclusions. Treatment of an aneurysm is surgical. A common surgical approach to the bilateral aneurysm is the lower mediano-medio-laparotomy. This approach is frequently atended by complications (intensine paresis, ileum) which prolong the postoperative convalescence. In the presented case the left retroperitoneal approach is applied, and its advantage is a smaller risk of postoperative complications, it shortens the time of hospitalisation, and it decreases the treatment costs.
