The quidelines for indications for replantation according to expected functional results are ... discusses. Absolute and relative indications are outlined. Indications for replantation are divided into general and specific. Specific indications are further described according to the amputated body part and the level of amputation. Factors affecting the decision about the replantation are the amputated body part, thepatient, time elapsed from injury to revascularisation and the sugeon. Conclusions. Surgeon who is going to perform the replantation has to make a fast clinical decision about the operative procedure to be performed. Replantation is usually a long lasting procedure, tehnically rather complex and requires complicated and long lasting rehabilitation. The surgeon has to predict the functional and aesthetic result of the replanted part taking into an account patients's work, hobbies and his ability to cooperative in the process of rehabilitation.
